Queer is a slur
It was, at one point, yes. And some people still use it as one. But that's not going to stop me, a queer person, who loves queer history and queer studies, from using it. I grew up with people who used gay as an insult constantly. "That's so fucking gay" as a negative. But that's not stopping me from going "You know what? Fuck it. I'm gay" and now using it as a positive description of something. If someone doesn't want to use that word to describe themself, that's perfectly fine. You get to find what words best describe how you feel and what you are. But you don't get to tell other people that they can't use the word to describe them that seems to work best for them.

🏃‍♂️ for the ask game :3
first, thank you for the cheesecakes 😌 I appreciate it :D
also, to answer the ask, I work in a place that requires me to be on my feet all day, and it is killing me. like not in the hot way anymore, I am dying. I work all the time now, and I really wish I could have like a month for my feet and legs to recover.

Ok so. in as laymens terms as possible, to avoid future confusions, what IS a CISMEN? just... a straight person with a penis orrrrr....
Cis is short for Cisgender. Which basically boils down to your gender identity aligns with the sex you got assigned at birth. Your sexual/romantic orientation has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you're cis or trans. That's about who you're attracted to/desire, not your personal gender identity or expression. So, using that, a man who was assigned the label at birth, and its the label that fits him the most, how he identifies, how he vibes, how he is, would be a cisman. And I do not want to deal with them when it comes to kink. Transmen, on the flip side, are absolutely welcome because they chug that respect juice, are fully willing to accept boundaries, and this is a trans friendly space.

"bless your heart" Tell me your southern without actually telling me. anywho, while i disagree with that anon, clearly you're not sexist, i must say, as a Cis man myself, i do apologize on behalf of those that have ruined your perspective. Trust me, i know. Men are Pigs, disgusting, in every sense of the word. ps. love your blog. you gotta share more cooking recipes though.
I am Texan, I can't hide it xD You don't need to apologize on behalf of them. Just make sure to call out members of your community and keep them in check. Speak up. Be a voice for good. Speaking of recipes tonight I made a recipe called Bang Bang Chicken from Moribyan.com and I am SO saving it to make it again. Absolutely delicious

honestly i think trans women in general have the biggest right to (and the most respect for) setting firm boundaries with cis men. while im a cis* dyke, my bff is a trans woman and she has told me how little respect she has for them as class (not about man as a gender identity) because of what, to quote "I heard them say when they thought there were no women listening". and as a lesbian i've experienced the shit they want justified, because "if a lesbian agrees with me its actually fine right?" (no it isn't, you're being gross) tldr, personal boundaries with intimacy isn't sexism, its just boundaries
mad respect,
-🐝dyke (byke, if you will)
*born a woman, gender is lesbian, but i use she/her pronouns so i say cis because its easier to explain
The number of times when I was an egg and before I came out that I heard cismen say absolutely HORRENDOUS shit is too damn many. I grew up in Texas and I played football, and that locker room talk was fucking horrible. And the coaches don't bat an eye at it, they're all for normalizing it with "Boys will be boys" nonsense. And yeah, co-signing that personal boundaries bit. Kink can be a place where you feel very vulnerable, where you're exploring yourself and what you enjoy and finding things out about others. It's okay to set up who you do and don't want to feel that way around. Especially since, and I think I've posted this before or used it in a response to some other anon, but like most kinky spaces online cater to or are VERY welcoming of cismen, specifically heterosexual ones. I'd argue that most porn or smut is filmed/written with them as the target demographic with the shots/descriptions. So to complain that there's a spot that isn't catering to them, that has boundaries is just...why. You already have so much. Go enjoy that shit. Don't come here and bitch at me cause I said I don't want to deal with you in an emotionally vulnerable place.

How bad at games are we talking?
...at this point I have the cheats memorized for Skyrim/Fallout to turn on god/mode or give me all the gold/caps I need. In most games I will choose the easiest option. I'm not here to stress myself out or beat some masochistic challenge, I'm here to explore that world, get the outfits that I love, and relax dammit

Okay but my mouth is watering like crazy those brownies look delicious, how'd you make them if you don't mind me asking?
Similar base for most brownies, minus the cocoa. And then just some lemon zest and juice in the egg/butter/sugar mix before tossing in the flour, baking, and coating them in cum ICING. I'll have to dig up the exact recipe for measurements xD

What's wrong with that sentence
If you ever hear anyone utter "Hey y'all, watch this!" get out of the area and get to a safe distance. Because you are going to watch something so utterly stupid and reckless it'll make you wonder how humans managed to survive to present day, and it's either going to be amazing to watch or so disastrous that lawyers will have to get involved at some point

for a second i thought they were empanadas and i was about to get on the floor . still support pierogis tho !!
I am not super good about doing the fancy af edges for empanadas. I can pleat, and I can seal with a fork, but I can't do the ones where it kinda looks like a braid. But as long as that's not an issue I can make em to melt cuties~

Gosh you seem so cool. Simultaneously so much of what I wish I could be, and so much of what I want to find. How do you do it?
I don't really have a good guide to "How to be like MommyBard 101". Part of it is just reaching a point in my life where I just stopped giving so much of a damn about what other people thought and decided to just be me. Not to say that I still don't have a whoooooole lot of anxiety to deal with, but I've gotten better about being able to handle it and compartmentalize it

Why say gods if you're jewish
Because I am a history nerd and have read the torah way too much. But to break it down, back, like WAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day, the Jewish god was a member of a pantheon for the Canaanites, with the tribe of Israel being a group that worshipped them. In fact it wasn't until post-Babylon that there was a shift to focus on a single deity. Add to this that there's nothing in the books or oral traditions that expressly forbids acknowledging another deity. Can't put them higher than Hashem, but recognizing them? Not banned.
If I recall right, it was actually the norm way back when to leave like small offerings to other deities when you were traveling through the lands where they were worshipped. Kinda like a "Hey, I know I'm not one of yours, but I respect you and I'm just giving this to you as a sign of that." So I see nothing wrong with saying gods as a Jew.
