Welcome, one and all, to the Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical Showdown!

This is a tournament of all of ALW's musicals, fighting to go to the Heavyside Layer determine which show is Tumblr's favorite. The first batch of polls will start June 8th and will run for a week each. The first round will just be Webber's least popular shows, so they at least stand a chance. After that, the brackets will play out like usual. I will gladly accept any propaganda, so let the games begin!

jesus christ superstar musical of ALL time. every production has a completely different time period and setting and costume and each actor has a different interpretation of the greatest story ever told and it's about the LOVE it's about the YEARNING it's about telling the story of jesus christ as an activist in london 2012, in a post-apocalyptic desert, as a 1970s hippie in a van, as the saddest little meow meow to ever exist, it's about DEVOTION blurring into LOVE and love blurring into SELF DESTRUCTION it's about not being able to change your fate even as you're walking straight towards it. it's also about the swedish version where judas wears a mesh top and they full on make out. i'm naming my first born child after the electric guitar in heaven on their minds
