this year the concert will be held on SEPTEMBER 23 at the SEOUL OLYMPIC STADIUM. the emcees will be BLAZING’s MAY ( PARK HAEMI ) and HARU’S MINWOO.

CHUSEOK ( DEBUTED ARTISTS )

for all of the DEBUTED ARTISTS ( including HYOSEOP, KAI, BAEKHYUN, BLAZING5 and HARU ) on SEPTEMBER 27 they will be invited to a grand dinner party to celebrate CHUSEOK. it is mandatory for all of them to attend and during this time, the managers will be present so it is expected to be on their best behavior ( and a great chance to catch up with some of the artists they may have not seen in a while ). since CRYSTALLIS has a brand event to attend to on this day, they will be attending the dinner party right after they are done with the brand event.

as a future reminder, everyone will be celebrating chuseok from SEPTEMBER 28-30 so they will be given a short break to spend time with their loved ones and relax. everyone will be returning back to the company and training on MONDAY, OCTOBER 2.

MODEL BRANDS UPDATE

the brand owners of the model brands ( HAN JISOO, KIM JINSEO, KIM JINYOUNG, LIM SANGHYUN, and OKADA TAIYOU ) will be informed that their suggestions have been taken into consideration and will create a pop-up store/booth quite close to what was pitched. after that meeting, they will be told by their creative team that they ( along with some of the models who have been a part of their brand, if they are not busy ) will be having an autograph session on the day of LGC FAMILY CONCERT ( and same location ). this will be happening a few hours before the concert starts as a way to engage and have fun with the fans.

Love Class 2: Maru x Minwoo

Conflict: A friends-to-lovers plot where college student Minwoo pines for his unemployed high school bestie Maru until a female ally swoops in to make Maru jealous, so he could realize his feelings. (He's the idiot hiding in the bushes below.)

Chemistry: Maru was a level of dumb that justified why it took so long for him to realize how he felt, and Minwoo's frustration with himself was (briefly) heartbreaking. Actor Lee Kwang Hee (Maru) really delivered in the first kiss scene though 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 -- wasn't even disappointed that they didn't show them going further.

Sequel/Spinoff: They should've ended their story after Maru told a sleepy Minwoo that he would spend the rest of his life trying to show him as much love as he's received. After that it becomes quite obvious that they're not actually compatible. Maru is too immature. I wish he spent the last 2 episodes trying to get a job instead of being content in mooching off his bestie-turned-boyfriend.

Kwon Min-woo did not change in the end

let me explain why I am upset with Kwon Minwoo's redemption attempt in case you too were conflicted about liking him at the end cause something still felt very, very off.

It was because they redeemed him for the wrong sin.

Kwon Minwoo has been called a tactician and strategist throughout the show so much that even the writer seemed to think that his main problem was that he was too cautious and liked to stay safe by playing up to authority and refusing to challenge it.

So his final arc was written to inspire some courage in him so he would stand up and defend his colleagues instead of pandering to his senior's ego.

And the inspiration was injected through Soo-yeon's affection for him.

So finally the cowardly lion found some "foolish" courage and all was well.

EXCEPT IT WAS NOT.

Kwon Min-woo was never hated by the fandom because he was too cautious to stand up for his friends or take any risks.

The man walked into Taesun and blackmailed Tae Su-mi.

Stomp on that silly notion right now.

KWON MIN-WOO IS AN ACE OPPORTUNIST.

And his biggest sin was not his cowardice or even his ambition but the fact that he treated Woo Young-woo as a misplaced alien who was taking up resources and attention that he wanted for himself.

The flaw his character should have been redeemed for WAS NEVER ADDRESSED.

Because Kwon Min-woo never had a moment when he showed remorse or even realisation of his own prejudice.

Even the SHOW didn't challenge Min-woo whenever he ranted about Young-woo's "advantages".

Attorney Jung Myung-suk politely told him off for bringing up punishments for Young-woo once but didn't sit the man down to address the underlying reasons for his hostility towards his colleague.

Soo-yeon could only stare at him baffled and later could only beg him to become a braver person.

None of which is an adequate call out of his behaviour.

Everyone just ignored his behaviour like it'll go away if they pretended nothing happened.

HOW CAN A CHARACTER BE REDEEMED WHEN HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HE DID WRONG??

And this is on the writer and director!

You guys created this man. How did you forget his main flaw? 🫣

Now, Kwon Min-woo - the character - was initially an excellent piece of writing. The actor Joo Jong-hyuk poured a wry charisma into his skin and made him remarkably memorable.

He was instantly familiar to a majority of the audience as that guy who always saw the worst in people and situations. Who would never extend a hand of help because he wouldn't want to "look weak". Who would ignore workplace unfairness so long as it didn't affect him and would only quietly observe to calculate if the situation can directly benefit him at all!

We all poured out unique experiences with someone "like him" into Kwon Minwoo, but ultimately we all hated him because he was mean to Woo Young-woo and it was unjustified.

And the story forgot that.

I don't blame anyone for wanting his redemption. Everyone deserves the chance to change.

BUT KWON MIN-WOO NEVER CHANGED.

Two failed high fives and an awkward smile doesn't mean a thing when it comes after a thoughtless betrayal just a few episodes ago.

He revealed to the reporter first that Young-woo was Tae Su-mi's birth mother. He knew nothing of her situation or her relationship with Tae Su-mi but he did this anyway so Young-woo would suffer.

Then he mailed evidence in her name to their rival to get Young-woo fired.

When a character falls into the pits of evil, you have to show a massive effort of conscience to convince the audience that he climbed all the way out.

We got nothing.

and that's why you and I are upset.

Cause Kwon Min-woo had real potential for a great redemption arc and the drama failed him AND US.

Goodness, the last episode aired literally last week, and already seeing cold ass takes about the series. So why not drop my thoughts into the void as well.

First, the acting was great in this. Even the characters I disliked were well done (Read: Kwon Minwoo and Atty. Jang, CEO Han and Tae Su-Mi). Kudos to the entire cast.

Park Eun Bin clearly did her homework. It was rather unnerving too see behaviours I consciously mask or suppress acted out on screen like that.

Some are disappointed that an autistic actor didn't play the role. I ask you: how do you know she wasn't?

I've also seen comments about the Autistic Genius™ trope that was played out. And really, I barely noticed. The other main characters were also very intelligent. And if Woo Young Woo wasn't there, it would be a tough competition for who is the smartest in the room. Atty Jang always loses.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show from beginning to end.

I like the beginning of change in Minwoo we see in the last couple episodes. I wouldn't call it a redemption arc, so much as a redemption step forward. He's got a long ways to go, but he's got a start. Getting his head out of his own ass would be even more progress.

Tae Su-Mi isn't a bad mother to Young Woo, she was not a mother to her at all. But that's me on the outside looking in. Young Woo probably did feel abandoned, and that Tae Su-Mi was a bad mother to her. Her two speeches telling Tae Su-Mi to fuck right off were great! That being said, I don't like Tae Su-Mi. Not because of her not being in Young Woo 's life, but because she tried to manipulate and use Young Woo once she did know who she was. Gross. "So you resent me for what I did?" No, I resent you for the shit you're pulling now.

But she's not the only one! CEO Han! I just want to talk!

This character is... Next level. What did Tae Su-Mi do?! I must know. For posterity. (I really think it has something to do with Young Woo's dad, and I want to know more in s2) Also, you knew damn well whose daughter Woo Young Woo was the whole gd time! "Oh, I guess the rumours about you and Tae Su-Mi were true". You knew they were! Bitch.

Anyway, season 2 will be out in a couple years.
