Social Media Comedian: Renny
Not only does Godfrey substantiate Renny’s comedic success...
“Ms. Johnson…” Renny shifts his lean as if the liquid of his head seeped suddenly to one side. “Let me ha’dat.” An audio voice-over is dubbed in sync with the gestures of a woman you can only see from behind. Ms. Johnson slaps him. The camera rushes in on nostrils and the whites of his eyes. Renny breathes with his whole body, mouth open enough for the flies to clear, teeth peering easily under…

OK, turns out I'm not done way overanalyzing the hospital scene from "The Nigerian Job." But in the interests of not continuing to spam the poor stranger who touched off that conversation, I'll dump the new overanalysis into its own post. @trivalentlinks @wolves-in-the-world
As I've been thinking about this, I'm just fascinated by what the setup seems to imply about their choices here:
1. Nate and Hardison are both handcuffed to hospital beds--Nate unconscious, Hardison apparently only still on the bed because he doesn't know how get himself out of handcuffs.
2. Parker is free of her cuffs and pacing. (She gets handcuffed to the bed after feigning nausea to lure the doctors in.) Her dialog implies she has already formulated a plan for getting at least herself out (that will be ruined if Eliot kills someone).
3. Eliot is sitting in a chair, handcuffed to the arm. Going off of other Hollywood hospital scenes, I assume Eliot being in a chair reflects both being very minimally injured and some off-screen grifting on his part. He'd want to be cuffed to the relatively light-and-compact chair instead of a bed, since he could maneuver and fight without necessarily having to get the cuffs off first, which would be consistent with his assertion that "I can take these cops"--he's got an escape plan, too.
The dialog also indicates that 1) they have been in the hospital with Nate unconscious for at least 20 minutes (because that's how long ago they were fingerprinted) and 2) everyone else has been conscious since before getting brought to the hospital (Parker: "Cops and firemen got there just as we were waking up.").
So, all three of them sat there for at least 20 minutes waiting for Nate to wake up, knowing their time before their identities were uncovered was ticking away, and none of them just ditched the others and left.
Eliot and Parker both had exit plans that were plausible given their skills displayed in the rest of the series--Eliot almost certainly could have gotten the jump on the cops immediately guarding them, probably using the chair as a weapon, gotten the handcuff keys from them if necessary, and plowed his way through any remaining resistance; Parker could have found an openable window or a vent system or a route through a drop ceiling or something to sneak out. Eliot had even more of an advantage that his "roommate" was unconscious--Parker and Hardison wouldn't have known he was abandoning them until they heard him fighting the cops, and that would have been too late for them to ruin his plan by eliminating the element of surprise.
Like, part of me wants to say I'm probably reading too much into this--the writers needed the rest of them to still be there when Nate woke up or it would break the story... but that "problem" only exists because they chose to knock Nate out for 20+ minutes*. If the team was supposed to still be hostile and in every-man-for-himself mode, then all they would have had to do would be have Nate wake up with the others and them all start bickering as soon as the cops leave earshot.
They waited for Nate. The dialog didn't suggest that they were waiting for Nate to make the plan--maybe they wanted to make sure everyone made it out; maybe they just wanted to make sure Nate was OK, but either way they all stuck around for 20 minutes when it probably wasn't in their personal best interests in terms of escape and 2/3 had exit plans already. They may not trust each other yet, but they do seem to have decided to make sure everyone's accounted for before they split up.
*I'm going to ignore the fact that Nate probably has some serious brain injury if he was unconscious for 20+ minutes because Leverage clearly works on Hollywood harmless knock-out logic.

Well Rumor, you're right again. Lady C said she has been informed of H&M's plan, which is to be elected as President of the Commonwealth when Charles passes away. This is the reason behind the Nigerian visit because Nigeria has deep pockets and H&M want in on some of these deals. Meghan realizes her Hollywood dreams are dead. LOL. Do you see Meghan having the patience to wait on Charles's death, which could be decades away?!
Nope, and I'm sure that's part of the reason behind Harry's mad dash to Charles's bedside after his cancer diagnosis was announced back in January. Gotta see for himself if Pa's going to kick the bucket before they can grift onto the Commonwealth.
I'm not sure that the plan will work. The Sussexes always squander every opportunity they get, whether it's something that was handed to them or something they made for themselves. They're going to have to be on their best behavior for the rest of their lives because here's the thing about elections: if they vote you in, they can vote you out.

I’m Brazilian, I’m sending this question to all the blogs I admire and follow. I would like you and your followers, especially Americans, to respond, please. Do you think Hollywood will consent to this “Nigerian Princess” project? Will Viola Davis, Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Lupita Nyong'o, A-list actors and actresses, allow this belated racial appropriation? There is a new generation of black artists, in the dramatic arts and music, who have achieved prestige through their talent and work. Will these people tolerate what she is doing? Don’t you think she crossed a line?? Personally, I think so! And I hope she is devoured by them and thrown back into the gutter from which she came. This lady deserves ostracism!! Thanks for listening!
Hi Filhadaanacarolina,
Thank you for letting me know that you have sent this ask to other blogs. I appreciate the courtesy.
I think that Meghan has crossed many lines with her behaviour, both past and present. Some people have sense and ignore her, but as long as others keep giving her attention/trips/shows etc this farce will continue.
I am not American so I can’t speak for Hollywood. I know nothing about how they work and I do not follow celebrities at all. The royals take up all my free time. :)

BREAKING NEWS: Millionaire Heir Evan Henderson was just spotted locking lips with co-worker Kaia Gerber! Is Hollywood’s finest couple calling it quits?
While girlfriend Amara Imani was touring the world, being in the middle of her europe tour for her second album, her boyfriend evan henderson was caught making out with his co-worker in new york city. witnesses confirm that the pair were looking all cozy with each other, busy with a heated make-out session in the middle of the big apple. Both were seen wearing disguises to hide themselves, but as we see, they failed miserably.
It’s not the first cheating scandal Evan Henderson is involved in but it might be the first one, he won’t be able to talk himself out so easily as done in the past with hard proof like this. Some might say, mister got caught without any chance for the benefit of the doubt.
Imani and Henderson had met shortly after quarantine on one of the first official events that were finally hosted for the public. Both had been linked before to each other but had only confirmed their dating rumours after nearly half a year. Since then the couple had been going strong -- or so we thought.
But before even confirming his relationship with the nigerian singer, Henderson had been linked to topmodel and now co-worker Kaia Gerber. Both had often been seen at several restaurants and insider sources had often claimed that the two were head over heels for each other. We all still remember the anticipation we felt, waiting for them to officialise their relationship after seeing the pictures of them at the black&white gala.
So did Imani ruin a perfect love story in the making or did Henderson play both women at the same time?

Where was/is Doria? by u/W4BLM
Where was/is Doria? Meghan went to her “home country” on Mother’s Day. That side of her being Nigerian would have come from her mother. So on top of not taking the kids (as expected) why didn’t she bring her mother to their “homeland” and then spin it into a Mother’s Day treat. She could had a real positive angle with this but obviously she’s not that smart and she doesn’t like to share the headlines.Regardless, where IS Doria? Did she start making Hollywood power moves and so now she’s on the silent treatment like her dad? Did Meghan wise up her mother is also a narcissist and was using her to her advantage? post link: https://ift.tt/cgLuiPm author: W4BLM submitted: May 14, 2024 at 03:30AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Hi!  Thank you.  I haven’t seen many PoC rally around her, certainly not anyone with real star power like the people you mentioned.  I am sure they have seen many things in Hollywood that don’t compare to what Harry and his wife have done.  She can’t fool people like she has in the past.  The truth is coming to light, bit by bit.❤️

Michael Babatunde Olatunji (April 7, 1927 – April 6, 2003) was a Nigerian drummer, educator, social activist, and recording artist.
He was born in the village of Ajido in southwestern Nigeria. A member of the Ogu people, he was introduced to traditional African music at an early age. His name, Bàbátúndé, means ‘father has returned’, because he was born two months after his father, Zannu died, and he was considered to be a reincarnation. His father was a local fisherman who was about to rise to the rank of chieftain, and his mother was a potter who was a member of the Ogu people. He grew up speaking the Gun (Ogu/Egun) and Yoruba languages. He was groomed to take the position of chief.
When he was 12, he realized that he did not want to become a chieftain. He read in Reader’s Digest magazine about the Rotary International Foundation’s scholarship program and applied for it. His application was successful and he went to the US in 1950.
He received a Rotary scholarship in 1950 and was educated at Morehouse College. He was a good friend of Glee Club director Dr. Wendell P. Whalum and collaborated with him on a staple of the choir’s repertoire, “Betelehemu”. After graduating from Morehouse, he went on to New York University to study public administration. He started a small percussion group to earn money on the side while he continued his studies.
He composed music for the Broadway theatrical and the 1961 Hollywood film productions of Raisin in the Sun. He assisted Bill Lee with the music for She’s Gotta Have It.
He was known for making an impassioned speech for social justice before performing in front of a live audience. His progressive political beliefs are outlined in The Beat of My Drum: An Autobiography. He toured the South with Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and joined King in the March on Washington.
He performed before the UN General Assembly. He was one of the first outside performers to perform in Prague. On July 21, 1979, he appeared at the Amandla Festival. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Top 10 Richest Nigerian Actors 2022 [Latest] We bring you the most recent list of Nigeria’s top ten richest actors as of 2021/2022. I suppose we should try to recognize Thespis, the first man to leave his mark in the ‘acting’ sands of time, or else we’ll be listening to more tunes, using our imaginations until we’re exhausted, and watching more damsels dance. M always moves with a plan B in her mind with every life decision. The goal is the same but the backup plans are always there. I've always felt she likes William but settled with H for obvious reasons. She wanted to be the queen, told nope so she left to become Hollywood royalty. Rejected there so she's Nigerian aristocracy now. Wanted to smear the BRF's name and get a multi billionaire but karma got her so she's still stuck with H. Her tentacles are everywhere like an🐙 for that reason.
Of course she liked/likes William. He's the one that has all the money and power.

Sorry back to back anon, but the thing about relatability is who writing it. Because I totally relate to characters written by writers who are often
*Check the writers wikis*
Upper middle class or higher…diversity hires, oh was born in la or California, nepo babies, got into positions of influence via friend nepotism
Look I know Hollywood (like every industry ever) always has a nepotism problem
But these modern writers and showrunners are so incestous when it comes to connections. They make Jamie Lee Curtis, Carrie Fisher, and Drew Barrymore (yes I learned about the supposed Barrymore dynasty in Hollywood) have more individual wait
Okay in my Chimera Republic idea, it a fantasy America where we didn’t get the Social Darwinism plague so they became egalitarian much faster than in real life
But many marginalized and discriminated groups that suffer hardships including genocide in the old world was able to gain positions of power in the Chimera Republic.
When a huge war broke out in the old world, there are debate among the marginalized groups if they should save their former oppressors or let them be wipeout and treat their soon dead civilizations like we treat Egypt
Oops, projecting my recent bitterness towards African countries. If I was at a un meeting, I would give the Benin and Nigerian ambassadors the dirtiest looks known to man to give a clue that I know about the Dahomey now
Also I would propose a “No refunds” counter proposal to African countries want reparations
Fuck you people, you guys play a role in the suffering black Americans, Brazilians, Jamaicans, Dominicans, and so many other groups of African descent suffer in the Americas. We are also keeping the bronze items you used as payment
But I think what makes my writing ideas so interesting to other people is that i acknowledge my bitterness and negative side and don’t act self righteous about it. Vs a lot of modern writers who projected it into their works
But this whole idea that we need to make every protagonist relatable…um not everyone have unresolved daddy issues, drink the Marxist kool aid, went to college and got a useless degree, and decided to intentionally live in one of the most godforsaken cities in America
Also can the left stop fetishizing the working class in their writing?
I’m the embodiment of what they desire, but I would rather get laid by a hillbilly confederate flag wearing redneck than dealing with a rootless urbanite for 5 minutes
Wait I live right next to Indiana…
Hello boys, wanna recreate your ancestors favorite pastime in bed with me?….
But these modern writers and showrunners are so incestous when it comes to connections. They make Jamie Lee Curtis, Carrie Fisher, and Drew Barrymore (yes I learned about the supposed Barrymore dynasty in Hollywood) have more individual wait
There's a whole bunch more too, ya. For the most part that's how they wind up getting their first couple gigs after that if they suck even being a nepo hire won't help.
bit before and Also I would propose a “No refunds” counter proposal to African countries want reparations Fuck you people, you guys play a role in the suffering black Americans, Brazilians, Jamaicans, Dominicans, and so many other groups of African descent suffer in the Americas. We are also keeping the bronze items you used as payment
The more people that learn about all that the more people that will mover over to that line of thinking, bronzes were probably purchased since the african countries weren't paying us to take their slaves off their hands, they were selling them.
Which they were bought then they're ours now, cry harder.
But I think what makes my writing ideas so interesting to other people is that i acknowledge my bitterness and negative side and don’t act self righteous about it. Vs a lot of modern writers who projected it into their works
Folks do enjoy honesty, semi rare commodity these days so it's refreshing when you get it in large doses.
But this whole idea that we need to make every protagonist relatable…um not everyone have unresolved daddy issues, drink the Marxist kool aid, went to college and got a useless degree, and decided to intentionally live in one of the most godforsaken cities in America
They'll find a way to make anyone relatable, even if they have to change everything about them. Fandom be nuts like that.
Also can the left stop fetishizing the working class in their writing?
Doubtful, maybe if they decided to join them they could, but those are icky blue collar people and beneath them.
At least in my observation of leftists and leftist spaces it's what the majority opinion on them is.
I’m the embodiment of what they desire, but I would rather get laid by a hillbilly confederate flag wearing redneck than dealing with a rootless urbanite for 5 minutes
You're not the embodiment, you actually take responsibility for yourself and are doing ok in life, that's just what they say they want. As for what they actually want we've been over that before.
Again my take there at least.
Wait I live right next to Indiana… Hello boys, wanna recreate your ancestors favorite pastime in bed with me?….

I am fascinated looking through our cinema program for the next two weeks.
Due to the strikes last year a lot of Hollywood stuff got delayed, and because of that... Most of the movies playing are actually not American.
Our city has three cinemas. The main cinema, then a cinema that mostly specializes on Arthouse and Indie stuff, and a cinema, that is basically just a screen put onto the stage of our local castle theatre. And normally the international movies will only ever play in the Arthouse cinema. (Mind you, all three cinemas have the same owner.) But due to the lack of big movies right now, they are actually showing a lot of indie stuff on the really big screens in the main theatre.
You wanna know the irony? After barely visiting the theatre for the last two years, I... actually am interested in watching some movies they play this weak. There is even a Nigerian movie playing. That stuff is actually interesting!

To Be A Celebrity And To Be Applauded For Saying the DUMBEST Things.... by u/Zestyclose-Level1871
To Be A Celebrity And To Be Applauded For Saying the DUMBEST Things.... "It's funny the pedestals we put undeserving people on. Simply because they're rich and famous...."Well said. Lost Beyond Pluto nails Walmart Wallis in a nutshell yet again......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1fsQSI6HHgThat being said, Walmart Wallis' biggest personality flaw is the ongoing war between her mental and corporeal forms of existence. Her 20 something brain has entered the final stage of losing the chronological war with her 40 something body. Her 20 something brain has continuously deluded her self perception as an organic ingénue. Her 40 something body has continuously reminded her of her failed 40x40 bday expose. Which involuntarily set Wallis on her journey towards a midlife crisis and inevitable geriatric club membership by 50 something. The fact she spent her entire life sacrificing her soul to the Fame Monster at the altar of Hollywood A list celebrity. Yet has no professional achievements of note to date. That would validate why the public should fulfill her insatiable narcissistic craving for social recognition and acceptance on a global scale. And so unsurprisingly, has received no celebrity recognition or redemption from the very Hollywood society elites she continues to worship to date. That is the biggest tragedy. This inconvenient war of reality is one her 20 something brain is increasingly losing. As the latest PR fallout over her Nigerian tour has clearly indicated.Despite growing up middle class, Wallis remains completely disconnected from the realities the average person faces today. Especially when she fails at practicing Plain Folk appeal propaganda through her narcissistic lens with gibberish like "I do see ME in you and YOU see ME in YOU".Her ongoing disconnect white knight championing an eco friendly green world. While polluting the planet with her massive jet set carbon footprint. All while lacking any genuine empathy for the daily struggles of the average person living from paycheck to paycheck. And in the case of 90%+ Nigerians (her new national family), this is literally living from mealtime to mealtime. This hypocrisy could've been forgiven. If only she hadn't lacked the foresight to bring all the jam samples she didn't send out to influencers. A couple jars of jam would've gone a fair way in helping out a Nigerian school pantry or two.All of her vacuous platitudes and superficial word salad to date, is a painful indicator of this complete lack of self awareness. And the widening breach between the reality of her 40 something body v. the fantasy of her 20 something brain.... post link: https://ift.tt/rphmMHi author: Zestyclose-Level1871 submitted: June 03, 2024 at 03:37PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog.
