Greetings human! I assume you have reached this website from planet Earth situated inside the spiral galaxy, the Milky Way. In light of this assumption, I welcome you to a world of spiral galaxies, more specifically, NGC 891.
Now what exactly is NGC 891? With NGC standing for New General Catalogue, the number 891 in this astronomical catalogue is indeed, a spiral galaxy.

The Silver Sliver Galaxy — more formally known as NGC 891 — is shown in this striking image from the Mosaic instrument on the 4-meter Nicholas U. Mayall Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory, a Program of NSF’s NOIRLab. NGC 891 is a spiral galaxy that lies almost perfectly edge-on to us, leading to its elongated appearance and its striking resemblance to our home galaxy, the Milky Way, as seen from the Earth. Since NGC 891 is oriented edge-on, it’s great for investigating the galactic fountain model. When stellar winds and supernovae from the disk of a galaxy eject gas into the surrounding medium, it can create condensation that rains back down onto the disk.

[Aqua] [Edgar Froese] [CD] [1990] This is the first solo album of electronic music pioneer Edgar Froese. This is a re-release from 1990 on CD, but the recordings are identical to the LP from 1974. In 2005 there was a revised version of this work which I do not recommend. . Although "Aqua" is not yet fully matured, we hear here one of the greatest works of German electronic music. At that time hardly anyone would have realized that many more great solo albums (e.g. "Stuntman") by Edgar Froese would follow. . On "Aqua" Edgar Froese is supported by his excellent "Tangerine Dream" colleague Christopher Franke on the track "NGC 891". The remaining three tracks were recorded by Edgar Froese alone. . "Aqua" is a piece of contemporary history of German electronic music. Regardless, it is a fascinating work full of beautiful sound painting. If you, like me, can't get enough of endless Mellotron arcs, sequencer patterns as well as synthesizer pads and intelligently incorporated nature sounds, you can't miss this pearl! . . . . .
