I haven't slept in three days so this is probably going to sound stupid but I just misread Norman's name as "Nerman", and, for whatever ungodly reson, doing so caused a visceral jolt of fear unlike any I have ever felt before to course through my body. My hair is still standing on end and I think the sudden dump of adrenaline in my system just took fifteen years off my lifespan. My heart is in my throat and I think my stomach flipped upsidedown. I am crying actual tears.
Anyway Norman now has an evil twin named Nerman in my brain.
Oh that's just good ol' Nerman, the worlds cutest boss! <3 Sorry he spooked you so much he sometimes strikes fear into the hearts of mortals by accident
Tumblr media
Please take care tho get some sleep. I promise to put Nerman in the other room so he won't bother you

Sibiu Ch F: Nerman Fatic [8] def. Damir Dzumhur 6-2, 6-4 Match Stats
Tumblr media
📸 ATP Challenger Livestream (via website)
Dzumhur had his moments, but Nerman capitalized on his with 4 breaks to their 7 chances. This happened thanks to their intuitive point construction, which barely existed in Dzumhur's case in pressure points. The only break back came from the first set, while he was unable to break Nerman's serve since the latter appeared more stable as the match went by.
On the other hand, it was tough for both players regarding their service games, where it raised the pacing question that followed. Despite both players scoring an ace, Nerman stood out from his second serves instead by winning 67% of his points from there, 9% more than his first serves. Somehow, Dzumhur double-faulted once, and it alone faded his second serve winning percentage 23% below Nerman, which exposed its vulnerability in pressing moments.
This successful title defense marked Nerman's second career Challenger title, putting him closer to the Australian Open qualifying range by rising up to 222 in the live rankings. On the other hand, while Dzumhur never beaten the best friends allegations, this still remained a positive week ahead, considering the rollercoaster season he had previously.

Propaganda
Greta Garbo (Camille, Anna Karenina, Queen Christina)—Enigmatic and alluring and made me bisexual. The perfect example of the eroticism in silent films that literally transcends text. Could literally not change anything about her expression but you knew by looking at her eyes what she was thinking. She’s so gorgeous.
Audrey Hepburn (My Fair Lady, Sabrina, Roman Holiday)—Growing up, Audrey Hepburn desperately wanting to be a professional ballerina, but she was starved during WWII and couldn't pursue her dream due to the effects of malnourishment. After she was cast in Roman Holiday, she skyrocketed to fame, and appeared in classics like My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany's. She's gorgeous, and mixes humor and class in all of her performances. After the majority of her acting career came to close, she became a UNICEF ambassador.
This is round 5 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.
[additional propaganda submitted under the cut.]
Garbo:
Tumblr media
A cold-ass Swedish WLW Sphinx. Had plans to murder Hitler that she never got around to. "She will remain always a child of vikings, moved about by a snowy dream."
Tumblr media
First of all, she's on the money; that's how much of a treasure she is. She's beautiful in such a distinct way you need very few lines to draw her. (Drawing by Einar Nerman) She managed to be mesmerizing in both silent and sound films. She kissed a woman in Queen Christina (and probably several more in real life). She was super dry and really funny in Ninotchka. She got the hell out of Hollywood and stayed out, living for almost 50 years after her retirement.
Tumblr media
Garbo is one of the many reasons why I'm gay. If you haven't seen Queen Christina please do, She is so gender in that film. Also her accent makes it sound like she's always talking in cursive and it's so hypnotic (or at least I think so).
She's a gay introvert, like all of us here on Tumblr.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Probably a lesbian, absolutely a mood when she retired
Mysterious and aloof, charismatic and enigmatic, with beautiful androgynous characteristics, Garbo is undoubtedly the most eccentric and unique Hollywood vintage star. Her aversion to fame and stardom makes her even more desirable to the audience, and her insane chemistry with the camera, an actress one of a kind! Her particularity and her oddity is what discerns her strongly from her hollywood co workers at the time, noone was like her and would never be like her. I think, to the utmost extent, that she deserves the title of the hottest vintage star, even though that would be an understatement of what she is!
Tumblr media
SO gorgeous, her thick Swedish accent makes will turn your brain into pudding
Tumblr media
Audrey Hepburn:
Tumblr media
"She may be a wispy, thin little thing, but when you see that girl, you know you're really in the presence of something. In that league there's only ever been Garbo, and the other Hepburn, and maybe Bergman. It's a rare quality, but boy, do you know when you've found it." - Billy Wilder
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Raised money for the resistance in nazi occupied Hungary. Became a humanitarian after retiring. Two very sexy things to do!
Tumblr media
where to begin......... i wont her so bad. i literally dont know what to say.
Tumblr media
My dude. The big doe eyes, the cheekbones, the voice. The flawless way she carried herself. She was never in a movie where she wasn't drop dead gorgeous. Oh, also the fact she raised funds against the Nazis doing BALLET and she won the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her humanitarian work.
Tumblr media
"It’s as if she dropped out of the sky into the ’50s, half wood-nymph, half princess, and then disappeared in her golden coach, wearing her glass slippers and leaving no footprints." - Molly Haskell
"All I want for Christmas is to make another movie with Audrey Hepburn." - Cary Grant
Tumblr media
I know people nowadays are probably sick of seeing her with all the beauty and fashion merch around that depicts her and/or Marilyn Monroe but she is considered a classic Hollywood beauty for a reason. Ironically in her day she was more of the alternative beauty when compared to many of her contemporaries. She always came off with such elegance and grace, and she was so charming. Apparently she was a delight to work with considering how many of her co-stars had wonderful things to say about her. Outside of her beauty and acting ability she was immensely kind. She helped raise funds for the Dutch resistance during WWII by putting on underground dance performances as well as volunteering at hospitals and other small things to help the resistance. During her Hollywood career and later years she worked with UNICEF a lot. Just an all around beautiful person both inside and out.
youtube
No one could wear clothes in this era like she could. She was every major designer's favorite star and as such her films are time capsules of high fashion at the time. But beyond that, she had such an elegance in her screen presence that belied a broad range of ability. From a naive princess, to a confused widow, to a loving and mischievous daughter, she could play it all.
Tumblr media
Look at that woman's neck. Don't you want to bite it?

Do you have any Jains headcanons going off of Murph’s comments about her possibly having an estranged wife or an ex?
Slight smorgasbord that’s a bit of this and a bit more generalized Jaina because I’m obsessed with her.
When they start to rebuild Irondeep, she makes sure Gemma gets a proper grave site, slightly elaborate, and next to their mother. She also makes sure that the circumstances of her sister’s death, that their father was the one at fault, circulate. She makes sure that next to no one remembers Hardwon was a witness. He’ll remember that enough for the rest of them.
She also makes sure that her father never receives a memorial, or any sort of official grave. MacGannis agrees the moment she asks, and she adds that to the list of why she considers herself indebted to him. Eventually, some of her shittier cousins privately fund establishing one in the most expensive private cemetery. Before she can pull papers on getting rid of it through official channels, it is smashed. They rebuild, and the second one is smashed faster. There isn’t a third attempt. Jaina wonders, for a while, how Hardwon could have pulled that off, when to her knowledge he didn’t know about it, and he hadn’t been seen in Irondeep for months. The next time she sees Nerman, however, he gives her a knowing nod. They can both tell themselves it’s about respect. But she understands him loud and clear. When Hardwon asks for capable warriors to travel to the Astral Plane with him, she makes sure Nerman’s name is at the top of the list.
Jaina finds romance easier earlier in life, when she’s focused on being a warrior, when people aren’t exactly looking to her for leadership. Nothing ever quite sticks, the women she falls for tend to want more attention than she’s able to give, and don’t understand that her priorities have always been the same place. So nothing really lasted, to her chagrin.
She did, however, have a hell of a time with Apple Scrumper at Bev and Erlin’s wedding.
There was one woman, once. Another warrior, someone with the same priorities as her. Or so she thought. They had a beautiful time in the Astral Plane, happy and fighting, not caring about anything but what was in front of them. It was her longest relationship ever. But the thing about falling for someone who spends as much time on the front lines of a war as they did is that sometimes, terrible things can happen. And that’s when Jaina decided to return to Irondeep, to commit to saving her city and her family name.
When Hardwon dropped off the Kingshammer for her, she left it exactly where he had dropped it for 6 months. She never wanted that hammer. Least of all like that. She finally decided to pick it up and put it away after stubbing her toe on it one too many times. The second she did, she felt something asking her to let it free from the hammer. Unthinking, she complied. And saw her sister for the first time in centuries. “I’m proud of you, J. You’re actually doing it”. Ghosts don’t cry often, but Gemma did, then. And so did Jaina. She felt comforted by the presence of the hammer after that. She didn’t use it to talk to Gemma again, but felt better knowing she was nearby. It rejuvenated her efforts at destroying her shitty family members.
