me finding bg.3 a little boring vs. me needing to get W.yll outta there and giving him a black writer (Me!) who cares about him 💔 and will take his story seriously

making gifs of this moment (aka being forced to slow mo watch expressions) and...the way not one person privvy to this conversation was happy in this moment...and all because we have to watch Will lie.
Not Will, because he's putting his heart on the chopping block even though he's the only one capable of loving Mike as he deserves. Not Mike, because the person he loves is telling him that the person he no longer feels romantically attached to (El) still needs him in a way he'd like Will to. Not Jonathan, because he is Will's single greatest ally and is watching him break his own heart for Mike, who (no matter how much of a pain he's been some moments) is someone he's watched love and care for his brother for nearly a decade now.
And then...the moment the very last character not lying to himself or others being the moment that catalyzed disaster for not only Will's heart, but everything that happened in that SBP + in the mindspace with Vecna? For the loss of Max and the apocalypse right after?
Even removing the romantic weight...this is why friends don't lie.

it’s annoying seeing people praise to&lgcs for having more black characters as if it wasn’t done in a performative stance since those characters weren’t even treated fairly either

okay actual last post of the night. it is very jarring to see a new wave of serial killer fans in part because so many people didnt know that fans like that existed. a lot of blame is being put on tiktok (which is fair, i dont doubt it) but i vividly remember being 15-ish, before the whole true crime wave really took off, and critcizing a blog that got suggested to me that was dedicated to a ubiquitous killer whose name is escaping me. and then half a dozen of their lil friends and followers judged me for thinking they were weird. the worst part is that a fucking. charlie manson blog told me to "spread love not hate" and stop bothering them about their interests...
what i guess im saying to sum up is: this isnt new and the rise in true crime content in general has really allowed for these kinds of people to be normalized or sort of. hide in plain sight? when i first got on tumblr "true crime fans" referred to serial killer bloggers almost exclusively and now you can buy tshirts with those words on it its really so. fucking wild honestly
