Got to go out to Lake Logan for the first time in forever! Such amazingly beautiful country up that way!
The first picture is of St Andrews Episcopal church in Canton, NC, where my godfather used to be minister, his daughter's wedding is what brought us out all this way!
From Canton out to Lake Logan is a beautiful winding drive, all nestled in a flat valley following the river out to the lake! I love riding through valleys, it's had to show in pictures how surrounded you are by the mountains, and just how flat everything inside is, how safe and peaceful it feels
I spent many summers swimming, rock hopping, and kayaking in the lake! It's a church retreat/camp ground so we were out there a lot 😆 But the wedding reception was actually up by the cabins, which are up a pretty steep hill we never felt like climbing lol so got to see some of the really cool things up there! Those signs are well worth a read!
Again not the best pictures I've ever taken (my phone's camera is pretty shot) but it was a fun time and thought I'd share!

South of Asheville, there is a road that runs through the mountains. At a certain time of the year and at a certain time of the night, this road will take you to the stars.
