Hiiii :] me again

In your ramble you talked a little bit about the Primordials, and it's been rattling around my brain for a little now. So I wanted to ask more about them !! When the war with the Eridians started, were they even aware of it ? Were there consequences for the planets they inhabited after it was all over/after they got sealed in the vaults ? Once someone becomes aware of a Primordial's existence, do they experience The Horrors ? Or is it just like kinda having a roomate in your brain with a lot of eyes [No need to answer all of these Im just curiois by nachure]

Oh yeah they were absolutely aware of them lmao. When a bunch of small bug people show up to your doorstep and start throwing you and your friends in prison for seemingly no reason you are bound to notice.

Usually, there were, since the Eridians were so hellbent on control. They wiped out every other sophont civilization in the galaxy, and many of said civilizations were nourished by, assisted, uplifted - and, in turn, worshipping and sacrificing themselves to the Primordials. Some Primordials saw what was to come, and committed suicide before they could be imprisoned - for example, in Gehenna's case, a Primordial ended their life there, their body turning into an extraordinarily rich core deposit and their child hibernating for eons before being hatched and killed (yep, the Ruiner was an infant Primordial!).

NEW TALES SPOILERS FOR THE NEXT SECTION!!!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!!

Primordials themselves are able to merge with sapient beings (but most readily do so with humans - as I have said before, we are etherically receptive) and once this occurs, the sophont retains their consciousness, the Primordial just hangin back in their body and only occasionally coming out, though of course by hangin back they also progressively mutate their vessel (in the Destroyer's case, it was powerful enough to completely overtake Tyreen's body). This is the stuff that happens to Vincent, Tyreen & Anu (although, temporarily and forcefully in that last case) in canon and Wainwright, Rhys, Fiona & Nisha in the rewrite (as well as a few OCs).

What occurs beyond this point is a complex process roughly called Primordial influence. Essentially, these guys are so impossibly powerful and ancient their sheer will, or sometimes even just presence, causes things to happen, ranging from changes in the body to strange curses (Gythian moment) to other things. Sophonts substantially affected by this influence may be considered Bonded. This process is gradual, but can be significantly accelerated and augmented through certain procedures, the fastest ones being just injecting the Primordial's blood/implanting its flesh into oneself (this is exactly happened to the first "canon" Bonded as seen in GL&T, just pay attention to the echo logs and posters strewn about the ship!) or being deeply and sufficiently emotionally connected to the Primordial (Eleanor Olmstead moment! The rings serve as a further means of connection/"bonding". No fuckin wonder JFV!Lock and Wright can do weird shit like share a mindscape). One may also artificially become a quasi-Bonded through proper application of core, but I already made a post on that lol.

Hello as well, monarch-nachure!

I find flowers to be quite nice, despite the severe lack of blooming plants here nowadays. Cecilias are typically the first that come to mind, seeing as it is the only type of flower to be able to endure Decarabian's constant winds. I would like to keep some at home, just to liven up the drab place, but I doubt they would appreciate little ol' me sneaking into the gardens to get one.

Come to think of it, my little friend looks reminiscent of a Cecilia flower now, don't they?

There are some others that bloom here and there too, though much harder to come by outside like Calla Lilies and such. I admit, I am not that fond of them. Calla Lilies, that is. They always leave a bitter aftertaste for something that starts so sweet...

Oh, also, I have found a book on specialties from other regions the other week. Did you know there are these peculiar flowers which bloom through beautiful music? I would like to try my hand someday and see if they like my songs! I would like to show the painting of it from the book, but I had already returned it quite a while ago, unfortunately.

Technically, this isn't an actual flower, but it is quite popular among the children.

(Forgive the slight lopsided make, I am still not quite used to making them.)

It is something we call a Wind Wheel or a Windblume, which tend to spin a lot when faced with wind. I might even say I like this one almost as much as Cecilias as it is a flower we can make by our own hands. As long as there is a breeze, it will keep going and cannot be stopped by harsh gales.

Only one fishboy on da floaty fingie flew off. Looked so smug too. As if 'e was not running away, but akchually won. Weird...

Gorksome is da beatiful little Gargant.

And Gork was pleased by it too. We did not even had to look for da fight dis time! Bugboyz came to us!

Dis was a glorius day! Fighting everywhere! Gorksome got to shoot its first targetz! Even Zippy remembered 'e can fight too!

And da best fing? Da stompa went BOOM. Dis was glorius! I almost kried of joy - ta witness da wrath of Gork and Mork wiff me own eyez!

Red and spikey beakies are ded fighty. And dey charge like da best of orkz too. Gotta respect dat! Also dey brought tanks! Wich mean dere was plenty of spikey scrap to collect afta da battle.

Da ladz even charged da spiky rhino and stole deir icon! Scrap and trophiez, da best life all around!

I was an idiot! Surprised at me sayin' dat? Da greatest grotboss is not afraid to admit mistakes!

I thought Devilfish were shiny! But Empra's goldie boyz showed me how wrong I was! Deir gravy-tank is proppa shiny! I 'ave never seen such a beauty in me life before!

Nachurally I called WAAAGH and sent ladz ta get me dat gravy-tank at all costs!

'Tis was a good fight. We krumped deir boss and deir nob too! Gargants are da best! Not as best as me, but close! Though I only cared for gravy-tank, if I'm honest. Nuffin else mattered.

Always keep da eyez on da prize, as dey say!

And wot a prize it is! Now I has da Goldy Throne of me own!
