I just saw that on one of the Descendants wikis, it's been confirmed that Gil's mom is Agathe (the enchantress from BATB) and respectfully...no 💕)
Anyway in my fanon he will still be the son of Melinda, an oc who served as a blacksmith for Hook's crew, he has a little sister named Marina and his full name is Gilligan after Gilligan's Isle. (this will literally never be relevant because this was his lore in a fic I finished in idk 2019)

I-Land Final Episode and Thoughts *SPOILERS! duh*
For anyone who has kept up with I-Land, I understand how emotional and nerve-wracking this episode was for them.  After developing a connection with a lot of the participants and sharing in their memories, its hard to see anyone being let go.  It has been just as much of journey for them as it was for the fans who supported them and at the end of the day, regardless of who debuts, there will be people who will be disappointed by the final results.  But please please PLEASE understand that you should not put the blame on them or even break them down just because your favorite did not make it.  All of these boys worked hard to get where they are and though it stings for those who did not make it, please support whatever flower path any of them have taken and continue to support and spread love.  With that being said, I would just like to use the rest of this post on my final thoughts on the episode and debut line.  If you are caught up with the show, please read ahead.  Thank you :)
First I would like to say that the preparations done for the final performance, the OT22 interaction and performance, the funny bits of preparing PR videos, dividing roles, and playing Truth or Dare, and the home-cooked meals sent from their parents were all just an emotional roller coaster.  I laughed and I cried.  To see those boys grow was something very special to me and to see their individual selves shine through personalities or skills were always a treat.  Having these segments were really meant to lighten the mood for the final lineup to come.  Personally, Sunghoon developed the most out of his shy exterior and his personality was so confident and funny in the pre-recorded videos.  I also thought Jay... could never escape his dark history LOL.   Also Heeseung’s brother teasing him and telling him to tell Jay he adores him was very cute.  Seeing everyone help each other with the PR videos was adorable and heart-warming (Heeseung even had a whole production team haha).  Jungwon dressed up as a sheep still sticks with me though haha.  Seeing OT22 come together also had me in tears and stitches.  It was so cute seeing them all hang out in I-land and despite how whack it was for the Grounders to never experience it, they looked so happy being with their friends and taking part in this little world even if it was for a short time. Also loved how they would easily throw others under the bus during Truth or Dare and the Questions they voted on.  The love and support their parents got and how each of them could not hold back their tears was really the icing on the cake.  No matter where these boys go, their family will always be their for them more than anything else.  Just all those moments leading up to their debut lineup really put a toll on me and it just made me feel like a proud mom
Okay the team name?  I am sooooooooooo glad its not Dragon Gee or Dee or whatever that speculated name was going around on Twitter.  Enhypen is odd but in a good way.   Its different and it will stick with time even though I still may just call them the I-Land group for now lol.  Pretty curious about what the fandom name will be too (but honestly I think I would still call myself an Eggie haha).
TXT and BTS’s presence was neat.  I wish more of the TXT member’s got to speak but having them all physically there was nice.  Though I will say it was just awkward not seeing them cheer as much.  I also felt like BTS was just bored at some points or were just glazing over when having to wait on each member getting called out.  They did have their humorous moments which was nice to see, definitely lifted the tension in the room and I’m glad they joked a bit (especially Suga losing it lol) instead of remaining completely serious.  Their advice and encouragement were all appreciated too.  Jhope being an avid viewer really showed.  Also plus points for Jungwon getting Jungkook’s attention uwu.   I still wish they could have interacted more and mentored some of them over the course of the show.  The slim TXT interactions with Heeseung such as Taehyun and Yeonjun’s reactions made me wanting more damn it.  But hey, at least we get to see them more often in the BigHit building.  I love a good family.
So the Calling performance was A M A Z I N G.  I personally thought they were so coherent as a group and made me wishing OT9.  There were some who really shine in their parts, but I think all of them stood out one or more times to me.  The dance was pretty powerful and a lot of them improved vocally.  Again, it makes me feel like a proud mom seeing them all at this point, grown and amazing.  The Into the I-Land performance also made me feel that way as well.  They all looked so good together and were pretty in sync given that they were fucking 22 of them.  The nostalgia was really hitting in me and I also teared uo like a big ass baby.  But can I just say... and let’s be real here.... Every single song on this show has been a bop and I would be thrilled to see a whole Soundtrack Album for I-Land on Spotify.  Like P L E A S E.
Now onto the debut line! I was S H O C K E D.  You can clearly tell these votes were not rigged in the slightest and this was solely based on global votes always shifting which was appreciated.  I did not see this order coming and it did turn out slightly different then my post on my preferred I-Land debut line.  So starting with number 1.... YANG FUCKING JUNGWON.   I was pleasantly surprised and I literally jumped out of my bed when I heard him place first instead of Sunoo.  This was the complete definition of people who initially slept on him finally waking.  I was soooo thrilled.  Bro really came in last by the last Producer vote and then climbed all the way to first.  Our lovely sheep garden and hidden ace, a big congrats!
Jay also left his cursed 6th spot and got second! Again another well-deserved man who gave it his all from the beginning and was no stranger to being straightforward and a go getter.  His stubbornness and hilarity will lead this group lol.
Jake getting third was a big shock as well.  Our icon of improvement!  To think he was always on the verge of getting placed out of the top 7 members and made it here? Also considering his benefit put him in 7th once when he literally could have been the eliminated member that episode.  UGH.  Our Aussie boy did great and seriously improved performance after performance.
Next up.... NIKIIIIIII.  Now I’m gonna be real I thought it was gonna be K.  I never placed Niki in my debut prediction, but his Flame On performance really change everything for me.  Actually, just the whole second part of I-Land was very impactful for him.  I was always hesitant about his sportsmanship and whether he was too selfish in the first part (the constant evil-editing did not help, Mnet...), but thanks to other members, he really matured and took a greater lead in things.  I really began to fall for him when we got to see him more playful and interactive with other members.  Like I really thought he was much happier and understanding throughout the second half of the show.  So kudos to him!
Coming in 5th place was Heeseung.  I was actually confused man.  When he was called first at this point, I just knew this global vote line up will be verrrry different.  I was still relieved that he made it and seeing him choke up, this boy who has been going at it the longest among the 9 participants at 3 years to finally debut.... Gosh I could not.  As someone who is also Heeseung biased, I was so so so happy for him.  Think we all know regardless of which place he got, the boy was destined to debut.  My Ace heart feels full ^^.  Go get him Leader!!!
Now 6th place... my Ice Prince... Sunghoon! I was actually the most nervous for him.  I saw so many people saying that Sunghoon was last in votes or was in danger because a lot of people had the mentality that given his popularity they should reserve the votes for the people who would most likely be eliminated.  I think that’s why Heeseung and Sunoo were scored low too.  Now I am also biased towards him.  I was thinking like what would I do if none of my favorite Bighit trainees (Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, and Jungwon) do not make it?  But when he was called to take up the last spot in global voting, I did a back flip (not really but yeah lol).  Given that Sunghoon has never gotten any brutal feedback from the Producers and has always adapted to each concept, he deserved this.  Just everything he has been through... And shifting his life from being an ice skater of 10 years to this path as an idol.... hold up let me get some damn tissues.  May he continue to break out of his shell and show his continuous charms!
Ok the producer choice for 7th place... Again did not see that coming.  Sunoo constantly ranking high in global votes only to be one of the deciding factors was another big surprise.  I have said that Sunoo’s sunshine personality would be needed, especially if the group were to do cute or youthful concepts.  His health had been concerning, but he was able to manage himself so well.  Even with powerful choreo!  He is not really one of the best dancers but he had always been able to do his part.  I really thought the Producers would choose K, but I really thought Bang PD boiled it down to overall skill and personality appeal.  He even claimed that Sunoo would connect best with the world with his joyful outlook.  I honestly could not agree more. I just people do not rail him for being picked as they should now understand he is not just some cute face and has proven that multiple times.  Sunshine Fighting! :)
The eliminated trainees were K and Daniel.  Though I thought Daniel has improved a lot, he was just outshined.  I also think at his age he should have more time spent in sharpening his skills.  What was more devastating was K.  He looked like he was obliterated.  I mean both of them were naturally sad, but K was just gone to me.  I was really hoping that he would make the debut line.  K has shown himself as a performer multiple times and was praised for his choreography skills.  He even showed to have learned from past behaviors and matured more as a person when taking the leader role.  To see him grow and understand where he went wrong.... ugh I really could not bear him looking that way.  His thoughts were all over the place and he could barely choke out what he wanted to say.  I just hope he meant what he said and actually continues to enjoy music and develop himself as a performer.  I knew how much his mom was initially livid at the idea of him becoming an idol so I hope he gets another chance at showing her that he can still do this. Now understand this does not mean you should blame Sunoo for being chosen or complain that Sunoo does not deserve it.  I already feel like he is gonna be haunted with the grim reminder that he was chosen instead and think that he doesn’t deserve this because he is not as skilled as K.  And people are gonna bandwagon hate on him... and again I say please DO NOT DO THAT.  At the end of the day, no matter how much you want OT9 or OT22, this is a survival show and these participants signed up for this.  Yes there will be fans who are disappointed, but you shouldn’t waste your anger on the other trainees who were able to succeed instead of your faves. I don’t want this moment to completely wreck K or Daniel’s chances at being an idol again.  Same goes for rest of the eliminated I-Land members.  This is definitely not the end for any of them so please go on with hope guys because I know you will still have many people’s support!  They will end up on the same stage as their colleagues one day.
The last thing I want to say is that though this has been a tough journey and though there may be people who will not be satisfied with the debut line, everyone worked hard.  From the participants to the fans and even the Producers, all of them played a special role in making I-Land bearable and exciting to watch.  This is a big congrats to everyone who took part in the show despite having to go through many hardships.  With that being said let us continue to support the futures of the eliminated I-Land members as well as the grand success of Enhypen.  I smell 4th gen leaders :D. Welcome to the BigHit family Enhypen and may your fans, your wings, fly you even higher once you officially debut. F I G H T I N G!
Now... will you guys join in during the next season of I-Land for the next global girl group? :3
.... Ya’ll already know I am lol.

Pringles (Prince x Goggles)
OH MY GOSH YESSS(i’ll exclude questions that dont really apply)
How do much do I ship it?: Never heard of it/ Notp / Dislike / used to ship / maybe / ship it / aww / otp / IS IT CANON YET?
What non sexual activities do they like to do together?
they go to the square (usually after matches) and sit at a table and talk about their most recent turf matches..goggles always has a LOT to say and prince is happy to listen to him talk his ear off all day since he’s more of a listener and goggs is more of a talker so they work really well together!! sometimes they might play squidbeats or go to the arcade when they’re not tired out already, and if that’s too much then they’ll go to the park and prince will tell goggles all about the different types of flowers and birds nd other critters and goggles is so!! amazed! at how much prince knows about wildlife and nature
1. Who does chores around the house?
hypothetically it would be both and they’d help eachother bcs they’re both super clean (with goggles learning to keep everything clean from his grandmother especially) and they take really good care of stuff so they kinda find chores fun when they do them as a pair!!
2. Who’s the better cook?
goggles learned cooking recipes from his grandmother (though he sometimes messes them up in the most goggles way possible, i.e. forgetting to add the pasta to a fuckin pasta dish) but prince really likes baking (and licking the leftover cake batter out of the bowl afterwards)
3. What do they fight about?
i cant really see em fighting, really?? goggles tries to stay neutral/optimistic in arguments and prince really doesn’t like conflict so..i dont think they would :O
4. What would they do if they found their paring tag on tumblr? (If they have one)
goggles would find it cute/funny while prince is quiet and BRIGHT yellow
5. Who cried at the end of Marley and me?
both. goggles cried more.
6. Who always wins at Mario kart?
hot take but..prince. he’s used to playing against eggy and/or emp (and sometimes even pacer) so hes gotta be fucking GOOD
7. One thing I like about this ship?
its so..pure!! literally all of their canon interactions have been so wholesome and goggles changing prince’s outlook on turf wars and ultimately showing him how to have fun was just. GOSH he put such a big smile on prince’s face and i SOB !!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. One thing I don’t like about the ship?
like…..SOMETIMES its a bit odd bcs ppl can portray them as mental 5 year olds even though they’re both like 14+.. they’re innocent boys but they aren’t in kindergarten KJDFGNDKF other than that i cant rly think of much
9. The song I would say fits them?
kill the director by the wombats!!
10. Another headcanon about the paring? (Free space)
goggles has really brought out the inner ray of sunshine that is prince, when hes not all reserved and shy. he can actually be silly and laugh about stupid stuff when he’s around goggles, and its a really heartwarming sight,!!

⚡ Erotica Flash Challenge #2 ⚡-  The New Flesh
Fandom: David Tennant, Doctor Who, Tentoo x Rose
Word count: 3000
Rating: Mature
Warnings: none
Based on this fantastic anonymous request:
“Tentoo comes across human smut for the first time (visual or in writing, your pick), and experiences arousal. All these new human hormones scare, confuse and, excite  him. (Just like experiencing puberty for the first time. Thankfully I had mom’s medical books saying what’s happening to me. Ooh! Put that in the story! Tentoo looks up his symptoms!) Eventually, he jumps into the bathroom and skins the sausage.”
“Skins the sausage”. I had a hearty laugh at that. ‘Tentoo then runs to the loo and eagerly unsheathes his pork sword.’
*rolling on the floor, wheezing*
Although I don’t ship, Rose just had to be in this. It’s canon, and it’s perfect. Enjoy it while you can, because in my DW AU real life happens to John and Rose with a quickness.
I want all of you to know these flash prompts are truly a labor of love for my small but beautiful audience - I bloody love writing for you. Thank you so much for reading <3
“Alright, John, I’m off to the shops,” Rose said, putting on her leather jacket. “I’ll be back in a couple hours.”
“But why?” He fidgeted. It had only been a bit more than a week since he arrived, and he was still getting used to Pete’s world.
“Because you’ve nearly eaten me out of house and home,” she said, smiling at him. “We’ve spent every waking moment together. It’d be nice to have some time alone, right? Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that.”
In all honesty, Rose was going through a period of adjustment as well. As much as John had the Doctor’s memories and cleverness, he was also the exact physical facsimile of the alien she had loved so deeply she risked the souls of everyone in her universe to touch him again … but he wasn’t the Doctor. Neither of them. His hearts did not beat a double tattoo in her ear when she dared to put her ear to his chest. He had not traveled to the ends of the universe, lived and loved and lost. After the loss of Nine and Ten, it was difficult to bear.
John was … John. And although his physical appearance was the loveliest thing she has ever seen, he was not the man she loved. But she felt she could love him, eventually. In the eight days they had cohabited, there had been golden moments when she saw a flash of the luminary she had once clung to, and she knew there would be more moments. But she wanted the feeling to grow naturally.
So they still slept very much apart.
“The heart,” he said, putting his hand to his chest.
“Yes,” she said, putting her hand over his. She caressed his prickly face. “And remember, you have to shave every day if you want your face to be smooth. Otherwise, you’ll end up looking like a mountain man.”
“And you don’t like that?” he said with a sweet fragility that made her eyes water.
“I dunno. Maybe? He never let-” she stopped talking abruptly. She promised herself she wouldn’t mention the Doctor. It wasn’t fair to John. But in the end, she still couldn’t help it. She missed his honey scent and the galaxies swirling in in his rich brown eyes.
There were no galaxies in John’s eyes - just twin stars. Lovely, but far less bright.
She popped in her earpod and walked to the door. “If you need anything, gimme a bell, okay?”
He stared at the earpod on the coffee table in front of the holocube. He was still getting very used to the technology.
“Sure.”
“I’m off, then. You can try to go online if you like. Your bio info is in the cube now,” she said, referring to the advanced computer system. With Mickey’s help, they had been able to hack a new identity for him and enter him into New Britain’s mainframe as a new citizen. To the powers that be, he was an emigre from the South American State.
He sat down on the sofa and fiddled with the cube. As she was walking out, he popped up suddenly.
“Oh, Rose!”
“Yeah?”
“Could you bring a couple boxes of those crumbly berry biscuits? I like those.”
“You mean jammy dodgers?” her mouth trembled with mirth.
“Those.” His eyes brightened.
God, did he love to eat, but his metabolism was so stellar she doubted he would gain a single kilo. “Sure,” she said. “Anything else?”
“And potatoes for mash. And peas. And custard and cake and jam - for trifle. And roast beef, ooh I love that. And crispy sausages and bread and butter for eggy in a basket-”
She put her hand up. “Okay, okay, I get it. You keep it up and I’ll have to call a zeppelin to get all that stuff back here.”
He bounced and bit his lower lip. “But you’ll get the biscuits, at least?”
“I promise,” she said with a sigh, and finally walked out the door.
He was filled with energy. All that talk of food had made him hungry. He opened the fridge and frowned. She was right. It was empty save for some milk and bottles of sauce and milk. He ran his hand over the top of the cupboard, where he knew Rose hid whatever she didn’t want him to devour right away. He felt something promising.
“Jaffa Cakes!” he said, ripping into the box. He grabbed the glass bottle of milk and sat down on the sofa. The holocube flashed.
“Welcome, John Smith,” a soothing female voice said. Scrolling text and various news stations materialized around him, bombarding him with holographic images. There was a flood in India. And, as usual, America was in the midst of political upheaval.
The holocube sensed his disinterest. “Is there anything you’d like to see?”
He chewed his cake and took a sip of milk. The holocube started to play food ads.
“Add a little sunshine to their tea,” a man’s voice said, and a holo of a little boy ran by him and to an image of a kitchen table with a big plate of Jaffa cakes. He bit into it enthusiastically and smiled at him.
“That’s the spirit,” he said to the image, and popped the rest of the cake in his mouth.
Again, the holocube sensed his disinterest. His alpha waves were barely blipping. “Is there anything else you’d like to see?”
He sucked melted chocolate from his fingers and sighed. “Rose, honestly,” he said.
“Rose,” it repeated, and multiple windows started popping up around him.
Flowers. Rows of things - things and people. A flash of frenetic movement caught his eye under the the Rosa centifolia window with all the horticultural information on it.
He touched the corner of the floating image, and just like in a computer, it came forward. It was an image of a woman touching herself.
“What the-” His eyes grew huge. His lips parted, and heat crawled up his neck and made his cheeks tingle.
This woman. He had never seen anything like it. He felt his chemicals working, and his muscles tightened frightfully. His mouth watered, but he still put down the fresh biscult. He wasn’t hungry anymore.
The cube noticed the spike in activity in his pleasure center, and more windows started popping up around him, all of them with ladies in various states of undress.
“Oh. My. I-” His lower lip wobbled.
It was extraordinary. She was so firm. So … delicious. Saliva flooded his mouth, and blood rushed to his groin.
He had seen Rose fully clothed - she rarely showed him more than her bare arms, and still he felt a bit breathless when she moved a certain way around him. But this. He was dizzy, and his vision suddenly went telescopic.
“Shit!” He used the new swear word Rose taught him and jumped up. He ached beneath his belly button. He looked down and yelled. His jeans were tented. He touched himself, and the sensation made him groan.
Sweat dripped down his back.
“What the fuck is happening?” he asked, using another swear word he didn’t dare use around Rose, but had learned from the holocube programs she loved to watch.
Another window popped up. Article after article about the male sex response began to glow around him, along with more images of women doing things.
He touched the closest one, and a very serious article came up.
“The sexual response cycle refers to the sequence of physical and emotional changes that occur as a person becomes sexually aroused and participates in sexually stimulating activities, including intercourse and masturbation.”
“Intercourse and masturbation?” he said out loud. Another couple of windows popped up, but he kept reading.
“The sexual response cycle has four phases: excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution. Both men and women experience these phases, although the timing usually is different. For example, it is unlikely that both partners will reach orgasm at the same time.”
Orgasm. The word sounded alien, but promising.
“Physical and/or psychological stimulation leads to vasodilation and subsequent increased blood flow into the penis. The penis grows enlarged and firm, the skin of the scrotum is pulled tighter, and the testes are pulled up against the body.”
Enlarged and firm. He looked between his legs. Check.
“With further sexual stimulation, the heart rate increases, blood pressure rises, and breathing becomes more rapid.” He was panting a bit. And his heartbeat had risen by at least 20 beats per minute.
So it’s normal.
“What is sexual stimulation?” He said to the cube.
“Sexual stimulation is any stimulus (including bodily contact) that leads to, enhances and maintains sexual arousal, and may lead to orgasm. Stimulation can be by self (e.g., masturbation) or by a sexual partner (sexual intercourse or other sexual activity).”
There was that word again.
“What is orgasm?”
“Orgasm is the sudden discharge of accumulated sexual excitement during the sexual response cycle, resulting in rhythmic muscular contractions in the pelvic region characterized by sexual pleasure. Sexual stimulation can be by self-practice (masturbation) or with a sex partner.
“Masturbation,” he read out loud.
Yet again, images began to flood the holo.
He made a soft gurgling noise.
Women do that? Touch themselves like that?
He swallowed hard. The pain had gone away for a bit while he did his research, but it was back now, and even more intense. He riffled through the images, each one more titillating than the last. He began to feel a strange euphoria. His scientist’s brain repeated back what he just read.
They are often associated with other involuntary actions, including muscular spasms in multiple areas of the body, a general euphoric sensation and, frequently, body movements and vocalizations.
His cock pressed insistently on his fly, and it was throbbing. The feeling was both amazing and miserable. His thoughts drifted to Rose.
What do I do with it? He thought. He couldn’t very well shrug and say “I dunno how” if she ever wanted to do something like the women were doing all around him.
He wanted to learn everything, really research the female sexual response for science, but he couldn’t quite get his thoughts together as easily as usual. It was like there was loud static coming from his groin, drowning out reason. He thought of orgasm - the ultimate discharge of sexual excitement.
Perhaps, if he could do that, then he could concentrate enough to start his important research.
He needed to masturbate.
“Male masturbation,” he said. And now there were cocks everywhere, men with their fists pumping, hairy, groaning, and wet.
“Arrgh!” he said, jumping up and away. “No more!”
All the images disappeared. His heart pounded, and the ache had not diminished. He rolled his eyes. Of course all it took was his hand. He could control pressure, speed, and rhythm that way. It made perfect sense.
He looked around, then ran to the bathroom. The quicker he could finish, the quicker he could get to learning.
He unbuttoned his jeans and pulled them and his underwear down. Rose’s bathroom had a huge mirror on the door, and he turned to look at himself. He suppressed a giggle. He looked silly - long and slim, like a white oak coat rack with only one hook. He bounced. His cock bounced with him, slapping his belly.
Ooh. That feels mmm.
He did it again. Again it slapped his belly, sending a hot bolt of pleasure up his spine.
Hmmm.
He turned his back on the mirror and licked his palm. All the men had been slick.
“I just grab it like this-” He wrapped his fist at the base of his cock and pumped quickly as the men had done on the holo - and nearly passed out. He collapsed on the toilet, groaning.
“Shit. Bollocks. Bloody fucking hell,” he said softly, using up his whole swear arsenal. His thigh muscles twitched.
It was way too much stimulation too soon. His nipples were sensitive to the cloth rubbing against them. Even licking his lips felt different. His response was optimal, but he mustn’t rush it.
Go slow.
He licked his palm again, then wrapped his hand around himself - not too tight, not too loose - and moved it slowly. His foreskin swallowed the swollen head of his cock and the sensation was…
Stellar. The proper word is stellar, he thought.
He pulled it back and up again, slowly. His toes curled on the tile.
Oh, this is nice.
His balls tightened and the skin warmed, just like the articles stated. Without really thinking, he cupped them with his other hand, caressing them with his thumb.
He sighed and arched. No article needed to tell him to do that. And it was bloody brilliant.
He played around with rhythm, barely moving his fist, then pumping up his shaft in overlapping strokes until his fist covered the crown of his cock.
He moaned loudly, leaning back and spreading his legs.
His palm was deplorably dry again. Although he didn’t explicitly need more lubrication to finish, he liked the feel of it. He looked around the bathroom.
Spring rain-scented bath gel? The soap would irritate. Conditioner? That would get messy. Rose’s bath oil? Way too strongly scented, it would be a dead giveaway, since he only took showers. His eyes drifted to the bottle of lotion by the sink.
Ultra-moisturizing, it exclaimed right on the label. Unscented.
Perfect. He squirted it into his palm and slathered it on himself. He felt silly again, but only until he slowly slid his cock into his lotion-slick hand. He steadied his fist against the counter and began to pump his hips.
His head spun.
This sensation was not in the vast catalog of knowledge the Doctor had given to him. It was a swelling madness. Potential energy in its most beautiful manifestation. He was a river right before it spilled over the lip of a waterfall.
He pumped faster, and his breath quickened with his thrusts.
With a woman, with her, how would it be? Would she love it like he did, feel the same dumb beauty in it? His thoughts unraveled into pure sensation.
The women. Their faces. The sounds they made, when they touched themselves. Their breasts, mysterious orbs, each topped with swollen buds his lips parted to suck. Them, and the silky, hot cleft which he knew was a million times better than his lubed fist.
All of them had it. Every pretty girl he met as Rose showed him around London.
So soft.
And she had it too. She hid it, like they all did, but she had it. And he knew of her unfulfilled desires toward the Doctor. He also knew why the Doctor, regardless of his desire, had abstained.
But he didn’t have to. He was human, and whole, and eager.
He looked down at himself. His belly muscles were tight with his impending release. His brow was wet with sweat, and his moans were loud and exultant.
He would share this with Rose, if she would have him. She could teach him all she knew, and he would learn her.
Every- he felt the spike in heart rate.
Delicious- a deep euphoria, much more intense and full, rose from between his legs, pinged past his heart and shot straight to his brain.
Inch- he grunted as his cock pulsed and spurted onto the vanity mirror. His eyes rolled back and he felt the pleasure sluice through him, over and over, a pleasantly fading echo.
He let his heart slow, then took a deep, shuddering breath and stretched. His reflection in the mirror was flushed and sated. He smiled at himself. Even his blinking has slowed. He cleaned the evidence and pulled on his pants.
Although he thought he could go right back to researching, he was filled with a calm bliss that tempted him to taking a nap. He lay on the sofa.
“Just a couple minutes. Then, studying,” he said to himself. He closed his eyes, and slept.
“John!” Rose yelled at him. He could hear rustling from the front door.
He popped up. It was winter, and night had fallen. How long had he been asleep?? He ran to the door to help her with the grocery bags.
The stars shone over the now pollutionless sky over New London. It was full night. A couple of minutes had turned to several hours of deep, dreamless sleep. He smiled. He had trouble resting, but now the remedy was clear.
They chatted as they put away the groceries, then Rose ran her fingers through his sleep-tousled hair and smiled up at him.
“You finally get some good sleep?” She knew about his tossing and turning.
“Yeah. Just drifted right off,” he said. There was a certain look in her eyes that he had been oblivious to before, but not anymore. Was it hunger? Curiosity?
Maybe. But he would foster it. Encourage it, until it spilled over like he had.
She flushed, then turned to take something out the fridge.
“What d’ye fancy tonight?” she said, bending down to get to the vegetable drawers at the bottom. Her pants stretched enticingly over her bum. The blood rushed to his groin again.
“I don’t know. I’m actually not that hungry,” he said breathlessly.
She turned to look at him, still bent over. Her back arched. “You sure?” she said. Her eyes searched his face, sensing something different.
“Positive,” he replied, leaning back against the counter to take her in.
She took a little longer than she needed to put away the carrots and celery.

A Light Amongst Shadows (Dark is the Night series Book 1) by Kelley York and Rowan Altwood
James Spencer is hardly the typical troubled youth who ends up at Whisperwood School for Boys. Instead of hating the strict schedules and tight oversight by staff, James blossoms, quickly making friends, indulging in his love of writing, and contemplating the merits of sneaking love poems to the elusive and aloof William Esher. The rumours about William’s sexuality and opium reliance are prime gossip material amongst the third years…rumours that only further pique James' curiosity to uncover what William is really like beneath all that emotional armor. And, when the normally collected William stumbles in one night, shaken and ranting of ghosts, James is the only one who believes him. James himself has heard the nails dragging down his bedroom door and the sobs echoing in the halls at night. He knows others have, too, even if no one will admit it. The staff refuses to entertain such ridiculous tales, and punishment awaits anyone who brings it up. Their fervent denial and the disappearance of students only furthers James’ determination to find out what secrets Whisperwood is hiding...especially if it prevents William and himself from becoming the next victims.
Review
Lucky me to discover this book was coming out, by doing a “m/m romance” search on Twitter. Going into the novel, I expected a blend of young Holmes/Watson and Ouran High School Host Club. Much as I love both, I am glad to say that is not what this novel turned out to be. Yes, we have two young men with investigation goals that fall in love and a boy’s school setting, but this novel is unique unto itself.
According to York’s Twitter account, James is based off a young Jack Davenport (Norrington from Pirate’s of the Caribbean, Eggy’s father from Kingsman) and Will is from James D’arcy (Richard from An American Haunting)--two of my favorite underrated British actors. James has the saucy but steadfast nature we see in many of Davenport’s characters, and Will certainly possesses the quiet, cerebral sort of personality that I usually think of from D’arcy. Once the romance portion of the novel begins (Chapter 3), they’re both completely devoted to one another.
Both young men have pasts that are not light, but where it might be simple to have these elements weigh them down and ruin everything, it instead unites the pair beyond what they’ve already discovered they enjoy about one another. There is definitely angst present, because the novel ends up being more like Holmes/Watson in The Devil’s Backbone, but the relationship between James and Will is a healthy one, and they have lovely moments with poetry and picnics. James helps Will through his laudanum issues, and Will respects James enough to wait for furthering the physical nature of their relationship (due to James’s past). They also combine their strengths to help them solve a series of crimes that threaten their fellow students, some of whom share their inclinations. So while it is not all sunshine and roses, they have mutual respect for one another, and they’re very tender.
There are some genuinely creepy moments in this novel, and the plot of the school’s background definitely takes this to a dark place, but the boys also receive support and assistance from friends and faculty that are aware of their relationship. So, while there is period-typical homophobia, it doesn’t result in the young men having to always stay guarded or deter them from pursuing their own HEA.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens to these two characters, especially since by the end of the novel they’re in a position to further explore the paranormal--together.

'I've got sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet'
Can’t Stop This Feeling by Justin Timberlake
I definitely couldn’t stop dancing this morning. Radio was on, the buttery eggy bread was sizzling in the pan and I was shaking it like a polaroid picture (oh yes if you shake your bottom at Henry you get some fabulous giggles). So much so that my dear hubby gently reminded me to calm down and not get ahead of myself when he joined us for coffee. I think my clapping and cheering loudly every time Henry did something well was a TAD over the top for his liking so early on a Saturday morning. Whoopsies.
I am very aware it is only the start of a long week ahead but I am so happy that we have proved to ourselves that we can do it. That Henry can do it. I don’t regret bringing him in with us when he was unwell (it was the only way we could all get some sleep and go to work like normal). I do regret letting it go on too long. Not because it’s ‘wrong’ or the books say they need to be able to settle themselves to sleep. It was just simply beginning to make matters worse not better. He didn’t lie in our bed fast asleep. We just had new battles instead, like only sleeping on top of me and not next to me (and the hair, hair, hair). Something I always hold on to is advice my dear and very wise friend gave me when she saw that I had cut Henry’s grapes into eighths (yeah, eighths). I admitted out loud it was a bit extreme but choking fears meant I didn’t care if it looked silly. She just smiled and reassured me that anything was okay as long you could sustain it. She has two gorgeous girls and simply doesn’t have the time to cut each grape into eight pieces so she couldn’t keep doing that, for her it wasn’t sustainable. Whereas for me I was happy to do it. Don’t worry I now stop when they are in quarters, but it works for Henry and for me.
Coming into our bed just wasn’t working for us or Henry. So that’s why we needed to make the change. We tried sitting next to cot. Patting his back. Door open and shut. Tried numerous night light arrangements. Gradual retreat, standing in the door way looking into the darkness of the landing sad, lonely and cold. We shhhh-ed next to the cot, outside the door and into the baby monitor. We told ourselves he is still not 100% so a little cuddle will help. Why, oh why? We have always known deep down it never, ever, ever worked. It was time to realise he only screams and shouts, makes himself sick (yep, so sad) and bangs his head around because he knows that it will get us into that room. But last night he showed us he can settle himself eventually. It’s just painful for all for us to listen to. Oh but don’t worry we didn’t get lucky. The sleeping fairy didn’t wave her wand and magically soothe Henry into a deep all night sleep. There were certainly moments of pure shock and panic along the way…
Like the fact that when crouched outside his open door I could suddenly hear the unusual sound of popping poppers in between his roars (the night monster really isn’t an exaggeration). Oh yes, poppers. During his many (surprisingly good) attempts at climbing over the top over the cot, Grobag covered feet poking through the barriers and the cot bumper very much down, he had actually managed to burst open his stripy Grobag with that super toddler strength. It was off. And I was astonished. I mean, that isn’t supposed to be able to happen right? Before I knew it I was freaking out about all sorts, like him suffocating himself or not suffocating but being cold in the night (and then of course waking even more than normal because he is cold ah). I had been channeling my inner Super Nanny already, once the light was off at 7:10pm I swore to myself to uphold a new found silence. No talking. No attention. So I braced myself and marched in purposefully, avoiding all eye contact. I put his Grobag back on. Lied him down (albeit very awkwardly as he protested grabbing on to my arms with that super toddler grip). And walked swiftly out the door. Phew. Crisis dealt with. Resume tears (and now obviously after seeing me, louder than before).
I was stood then once again outside trying to block out the angry screams, straight on to my WhatsApp eagerly sharing the drama with Daddy Dixon downstairs. I had just finished typing and looked through the crack, only this time to witness Henry doing it again. Already. Only two minutes had passed (if that). With one eye now firmly glued to the gap in the door, I saw it was no accident. He was pushing his feet down and pulling the top with his hands. The poppers went. He was getting his feet out and kicking it away aggressively. He was like a mini Hulk angrily bursting the net around him like it was easy. Ready to climb again, only this time more easily with his feet now free. You would think he would have been so busy concentrating he wouldn’t be thinking about screaming too. Unfortunately not. All or nothing seems to be Henry’s motto.
Well super Daddy got the travel Grobag, only 1 tog but with the genius front zip instead of any poppers (very impressed, I was still so astonished that he could get out of his Grobag I had no solutions of own). We managed to stick to the no talking policy and put him in it (pj trousers too so he was warm and cosy). And we were out that door as fast as possible. No hanging about.
It took about 40 minutes. But Henry finally gave in to his tiredness. The pain of hearing him so distraught had finally given all three of us a reward. What makes me laugh though is our boy is all about the comfort and sucks his thumb and curls his hair ALL DAY LONG. So why (WHY) he always chooses to fight the urge when he needs it the most has been beyond me! But he did eventually find it (thank god). He stayed standing, head resting in the cot, sucking his thumb. Silence. Then a gentle flop a bit later. And he was down. We of course stayed camped out in the darkness of our bedroom initially, we knew there was no harm in delaying our footsteps on the stairs (oh the number of times that has got us in the past).
He slept for the first time in a long time through the evening (through the power of self-soothing). Mummy and Daddy could eat, watch Sherlock and wind down together on the sofa. Pure luxury! He woke at midnight, the first of 3 attempts to get us to him. But the earlier success finally gave me that determination to see it through. That was the difference. My hoody and joggers by the bed ready, I slipped them on and prepared myself for the long haul. I know I could have stayed in bed, but hearing him cough and gag still breaks my heart and I felt better for watching him (strangely enough). So I have been happy and dancing, celebrating this milestone in our journey towards a full night’s sleep again. Not getting carried away, but appreciating the small achievements and not dwelling on all the battles still ahead. Bravo all round!
Hello weekend. Hello half term. I’ve got sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet 🎶
