I know it's not a well-liked ship. But I ship them for personal reasons that resonate with me.

Elise is soft-spoken and introverted, and Sonic is a free-spirited introvert, and I think that there is nothing wrong with them developing feelings for each other. Sonic just came into her life one day and made her smile, gave her confidence, told her not to overthink things and just run, and he made her finally shed the tears that she had been holding back for years. It was written by Richie and produced by him and Stewart Levine. The song had some success and even made it to the top of the Dutch singles top 100 and reached number two on the Dutch top 40. It also appeared on Richie's best albums, Truly: The Love Songs and The Definitive Collection.

AllMusic's Bryan Buss described the song as "classic, mellow Richie." J.D. Considine noted the "restrained vocals and subtle fatback groove". I find it funny that people are concerned about explaining weird or nerdy shows to their friends or family. When I very much didn't, in fact, when I was a kid, my mom made me take a photo in front of a tardis. I was very confused and asked her why I was doing this, and all she said was, "You'll understand." Basically saying,"You too will become a nerd. I just know it." I find that wonderful.
