Mutants and Metahumans of Fair City: Part 3
TW: Verbal and Emotional Abused characters along with a few others
Lady Redundant Woman: Beatrice Bixby did not have a great life before the accident. Her old boss was a complete jerk to her as well as the other employees, but he seemed, according to Beatrice, to have it out just for her. He was always yelling at her, saying she always did things wrong, and made her do the hardest jobs in the copy shop and afterwards, continue to unfairly critique and criticize her work skills. It was from this that Beatrice developed her distrust and dislike of managers and higher-ups (even after Dave became manager) along with her inability to speak out often when she is not in villain mode. Beatrice was forced on a late shift and was working on fixing a copy machine (which she loves greatly like canon) when the accident happened. Beatrice at the time was not aware she developed powers and the copy shop she worked at had to close for a while because most of her other coworkers became mutants or metahumans and were dealing with the aftermath of the outbreak. When she was brought back, her boss was actually way worse than before due to everything that happened. One very late shift, her old boss started really berating Beatrice over some common, minuscule mistake. He started jabbing his finger at her and wound up pressing her nose which created another duplicate of her right before their eyes. Both were shocked at this development, Beatrice even more so at the sight of her new duplicate. Shocked, but still angry, the boss criticizes her more harshly, calling Beatrice a freak and accusing her of purposefully doing this herself and making her a pretty weak metahuman if all she can do is duplicate herself. Beatrice snaps. She looks at her boss with a furious expression and first yells at him to be quiet. Which he does out of shock from her outburst. She then switches to a menacing grin and replies in a low, malicious tone of voice. “Let me show you how ‘weak and pathetic’ I am now boss!” She hastily presses her nose so many times until about twenty or so clones pop out and swarm the now terrified boss. Police found the guy a few days later surround by a lot of paper, huddled up mumbling “Sssso Many, Ssso Many.” He was looked over by doctors and was put in a psychiatric hospital for his mental health where he still remains up to the current time line.
This Lady Redundant Woman’s powers are different from canon. She still repeats herself 3x. on certain words. Her duplicates though are more dangerous. They don’t have any voice issues. If Beatrice creates a duplicate of someone, they can sound exactly like them. Beatrice observes a target for a long while before sending out her duplicates. They have the knowledge on how to act like the real deal due to her memories and observations of them. Her duplicates are more multiple and don’t run out of ink. Although Beatrice does develop an addiction to copy machine ink as a food source. They still can be destroyed by water or a strong punch from Wordgirl but that is about it. These duplicates can have the exact fingerprints from the real deal if they are duplicated from a living person, not an imaginary one like Royal Dandy.
Invisibill - He is a metahuman with his canon invisibility powers. He received them at the beginning of the explosion. He used to use his powers at birthday parties and celebratory events. Not everyone liked him and he was unfairly criticized a lot. He was not making much money as an entertainer so when he heart about the Coach’s villain school, he decided to join up. Invisibill is similar to his canon self but is more jaded due to his harsh treatment in the past. If and when he feels petty, and if someone is mean to him or BLHG, he will turn invisible and prank that person, most often de-pantsing them in public. He is not as energetic and oblivious as his canon self and can tell pretty on when no one wants to talk to him.
Big Left Hand Guy - He is a mutant. He was not mutated at the start of the event. He used to work at a construction company. An accident happened at work where his left hand was crushed by a block of cement. It hurt at first, throbbed a bit, than expanded to the size of canon BLHG’s actual left hand. The doctors thought it was a regular injury at first that just swelled out of control. After multiple tests, they discovered that he was just a mutant with recessive DNA components that were not activated until the accident. His bones expanded along with his flesh. Unfortunately BLHG could not go back to work because his big left hand kept getting in the way. He saw a flyer for the Coach’s villain school opening up and decided to try it out. He became teammates then roommates with Invisibill. Like in the canon episode, BLHG and Invisibill were both downgraded to common criminals which are below super villains. They both have been approached by The Protector to join the “Metas and Mutants Forever” cause. The have not yet responded, but have considered the option.
The Coach - He is a human. Once a Life Coach, he then met the Whammer and decided to create a school for villains so he could teach them and use novices for his own gains and benefits. The Coach is more secretive about where he holds the school rather then at his home. A follower of The Protector approached The Coach in a dark alleyway one day with a message from the metahuman. The messenger said, “The Protector wants to let you know that the only reason you are alive right now is because your existence is too pathetic to be bothered getting rid of, BUT if The Protector hears or finds any evidence of you clearly mistreating or abusing metas and mutants very harshly, then the Protector themselves will ‘handle’ you personally as justice for all mutants and metas.” The Coach is more paranoid in this au than in canon. With good reason.
Miss Question - She is a metahuman. Like in canon she was struck by lighting and that’s what triggered her metahuman genes and give her the canon powers. After the episode “Where Have All The Villains Gone?” she was kicked out of the villain league for her actions. She was found by the Protector and convince her to work as a spy for The Protector. She would greatly apologize and grovel in front of the villains for her actions and they let her back in. Her job is to gather intel and information about each Villain (and further info about Wordgirl) and give them to The Protector as well as due some errands on the side. The Protector so far keeps Miss Question in the dark about the reasoning. When Miss Question tried to make The Protector reveal the truth, her powers seemed to reverberate off them and back onto her, but fuller force and more painful. Miss Question has decided it is better just to do as she is told by The Protector. The Protector only scolded her for her actions and reminded her not to do it again. The Protector can be a force of nature, but they can also be eerily patient. Like a parent to a child.
Captain Tangent - Captain Tangent has always been a metahuman with telekinetic and material morphing abilities, but only for metal. Captain Tangent was never aware of his powers because they were not strong enough to develop. When he found the “cursed hook” (it wasn’t cursed, the pirate statue and voice was part of an old attraction that was shut down after the outbreak. The restaurant was built over it.) Besides levitating metal, Captain Tangent can also manipulate the shape of metal to build a ship or other pirate weapons as well as a metal body of armor.
Nocan The Contrarian - Nocan is a normal human. Contraria exists in this au. Funny thing though when he first came along, no one could tell if he was a mutant or metahuman. His use of contrary words and mindset did not help to clear anything up.
The Whammer - he is one of some mutants to also have a superpower. He has his canon powers, but the horns on his head are his actual horns. He developed his powers after the accident. Besides his whamming abilities, The Whammer can also use his horns as a weapon to ram into buildings or Wordgirl. He surprisingly has not developed any concussions. His helmet is a clip on that can fit around his horns. The Whammer dresses up as a wrestler because he likes how they wham into each other.
Quick Headcanons:
-The Villain organization was created by Mr. Big, Granny May, Lady Redundant Woman, Chuck, Amazing Rope Guy (he was hired to be used as a distraction most of the time) and Hal Hardbargain. They created the organization to take advantage of the chaos and potential crime committing available. They were difficultly handled by the police until Wordgirl came along.
-The villains are not as friendly with Wordgirl as canon but a majority (save a few) do respect her and won’t go too far because she is a child.
-Steven did not write his “Superheroes and You: A Practical Guide” but rather a book about Mutants and Metahuman studies to help people understand themselves and others better. Miss Power’s organization published the book as a sneak way to get Steven’s scientific studies. The book is still out there, but now Steven is disgusted and does not want anything to do with it. Wordgirl got help from her dad and learned how to be a hero from comic books.

Blog Introduction
This blog takes place in the Becky Boxleitner Universe in the Braingirl AU scenario.
This is not connected with my Braingirl Vigilante AU but Dr. Calvin Barriton is involved in this au.
This is an ask blog but I will also include snippets to help progress the story along.
This is an excuse to put down all of my braingirl ideas and headcanons and make them into an alternate world
The rules on this blog are the same as on my mutants and metahumans ask blog.
This blog is mostly angst with some minor hurt/comfort and deal with serious topics and dark stuff some times.
Rules:
1. Pr*shippers and Incest Shippers will be denied from making asks and banned from this site.
2. No NSFW ask allowed.
3. Hateful language and toxic asks are forbidden.
4. If you want to ask someone about serious topics, a trigger warning will be put at the bottom of your question for the safety and concern of other viewers.
5. No artwork can be posted by the admin running the asks. You are free to post your own fan submissions if you want to.
6. Asks are available for everyone.
Disclaimer: I do not own Wordgirl or its characters. Wordgirl and it's characters are a trademark of PBS and Soup2Nuts. The Braingirl au was originally created by wordgirlchronicles who are deactivated by now.
Anyways Welcome to the World of Mousebrain Girl Boxleitner and her family, friends, and the residents of Fair City.

I don't know if you read this post yet, but I have created an au call Mutants and Metahumans in Fair City where all the heroes and villains are either mutants or metahumans because of a freak gas accident about a decade ago. I hadn't planned on using Amazo Guy for this au because it more ties in with my half human/half alien Becky headcanon, but I did talk with @melodythebunny on discord and explained to her how I picture Amazo Guy and other fanon characters in the au. This was before the divorced amazing cheese au, but then I realized Amazo's characterization in my mamofcau can work as a crossover with this one. So this is how the combination would work with some temporary changes for this in comparison with what I had planned out, Amazo Guy is assigned as a new lab assistant in Steven's workplace and he and Steven end up as close colleagues and friends (and maybe a bit more😉). What Steven and Becky don't know is that Amazo Guy was sent by The Protector, a main villain in my au, as a spy to gain Steven's trust and to either 1. platonically or romantically persuade Steven to join The Protector's side or 2. Obtain (steal) all of Steven's recorded knowledge about mutants and metas so that The Protector can use the information for their cause. Here are the links for mamofcau and The Protector:
https://ninjastormhawkkat.tumblr.com/post/685152384504184832/mutants-and-metahumans-of-fair-city-au
https://ninjastormhawkkat.tumblr.com/post/685247351389044736/mutants-and-metahumans-of-fair-city-the-villains
I did read about that AU but I had to reread it to refresh my memory. I absolutely adore that AU concept so much. Oh Amazo Guy, the angst potential it has in this yesss.
Emotional manipulate the mouse man to do what is needed. Either way it's sooo good!!
Seizing every opportunity to get close to him. To fake vulnerability with the scientist. Maybe at one point it stops being pretend but that can't stop his mission.
Would WordGirl become an obstacle that he would have to gain her trust as well? If you go the convincing Steven to join the Protector route.
Either way it goes it'll be so intense and fascinating, the outcome which you choose!
Oh! Question about him. What is Amazo Guy exactly in your AU?

Mutants and Metahumans of Fair City - The Villains: Part 2
Note: Heroes and villains do exist in this au, but there are no aliens in this au.
Granny May - Granny May is a metahuman in this au. Unlike her canon character, she does not have her old lady items to use as weapons against Wordgirl. She can shoot her strong and weak yarn out of her hands like Spiderman, she has minty freeze breath, and she can also expel noxious fumes from her body that smells like old lady perfume to help her make a clean getaway. She has her rocket armor like canon. Granny May was already a villain before the explosion, she just hides her powers from others and creates a sweet old lady façade making people think she is just a normal old lady before it is too late for them to realize the truth. It also helps that she can turn into a person made of yarn when she needs to which makes her details obscure and difficult for the police to get any eyewitnesses to detail her exactly.
Mr. Big - Mr. Big is a metahuman with mind manipulating abilities. He can control a person’s mind by looking at them or give them hallucinations that will also make them do what he wants. Unfortunately he has difficulty controlling them so the mask he wears, invented by his assistant Leslie, helps him to control his powers. He was a businessman before the accident, but it wasn’t doing as great as he wanted it to be. Now he is very successful, thanks to mind control. Mr. Big is similar to his canon self but with headaches from his mind control powers plus he is more tired than energetic. Loud sounds irritate him so his squishy bunnies are just made to be squishy and plushy, they have no squeaker. The mind control tech he has in canon are used to help enhance and control his powers so he can choose who to affect with his mind manipulating abilities. In the aftermath when he uses his powers to control the whole city, he is usually sleepy and feeling lethargic. Depending on how powerful he was using his mind powers, Mr. Big can wind up sleeping for a few days or up to a week. Leslie watches over his body to make sure his vital signs are normally functioning until he wakes up.
Leslie - She is just a normal human in this au like canon, Her fighting abilities come from self-defense classes and karate skills. She was a junior inventor with a minor in nursing. She moved to Fair City after it was removed from quarantine and the city requested a need for more workers since about a majority were either dead from the confusion and pandemonium in the aftermath of the explosion or unable to work due to sudden mutations or meta human abilities. The first few months of work, Leslie hated her job and her bosses so she resigned. Unfortunately as with other citizens and newcomers, job hunting was difficult to find after quarantine. So Leslie ended up applying for a job with Mr. Big because what else could she do (plus he offered some good dental plan). Leslie noticed Big’s headaches and he explained to her his situation after she told him she had some nursing experience. Leslie invents the gadgets that help to control and channel Big’s power on unsuspecting people or the whole city. Leslie also monitors Mr. Big’s headaches and makes sure he is getting plenty of rest and sustenance. This Mr. Big treats Leslie a bit better than in canon. He at least pays her for her nursing service. Leslie is the same as her canon self, though she acts a bit like a mother hen to Mr. Big sometimes. She is the only one who can get away with calling him Shelly Smalls. Especially when she uses her angry/disappointed voice.
The Butcher - he is a metahuman. His family was all raised to be criminals (not supervillains). For example, they just robbed banks and people but used weapons to commit crimes such as baton sticks or guns. Butcher was not comfortable with the guns thing which is one of the reasons he left to start his own path as a criminal without family interference. The Butcher was the criminal name he picked out when he turned 18 which is the age all his family members picked their criminal names. The Butcher never developed powers in the beginning, so he tried starting his life out as a common criminal. Let’s just say he was caught almost as much as Amazing Rope Guy. One day he tried ordering a hot dog from a vendor but the vendor couldn’t understand him due to the Butcher’s grammar inaccuracies. The Butcher’s developing emotional frustration activated dormant metahuman genes and caused him to launch hot dogs at the vendor in frustration. The Butcher was surprised by his newfound powers but then later realized he could generate all kinds of meat products so he used his meat powers to become the all powerful and potent supervillain that his canon self is. He is still caught by Wordgirl but not as often anymore as he was when the police were only after him. The Butcher has the same personality and skills as his canon self, but he is not as forceful as his canon self when attacking Wordgirl and Huggy because to him, Wordgirl is just a regular kid who wound up being a metahuman like him. There is no meaty dimension. If The Butcher uses too many meat attacks, it takes a few hours for him to recharge and be able to attack with meat again. Like Granny May, the Butcher already has criminal/villain experience.
Tobey McAllister the Third - Tobey is a normal human kid with an affinity for building robots. He falsely proclaims to the public that he has telekinetic abilities that allow him to build and control robots with his mind. He pretends this by wearing a metal headband around his head which he says helps him to control his robots when in reality he hides a remote control behind his back hidden by an oversized lab coat. (He does trip over it from time to time because he wears it all the time.) Tobey is just trying to impress Wordgirl like canon. Only his mom, Wordgirl, Huggy, Violet, the villain society, and Steven know the truth.
Chuck - he is the same as his canon self. He, his brother, and mother were mutated into sandwich people. Brent uses his mutation to promote successfully his crust less bread products. Nothing has changed for Chuck except maybe the occasional humans teasing him but they are stopped with his condiment ray and quit after a while.
Amazing Rope Guy - Guy has no powers, he is human. He thinks he has power over rope, he doesn’t. Same as canon self.
Maria/Energy Monster - origin is the same as canon. No change.

Mutants and Metahumans of Fair City Au
So I came up with this au idea while I was at the beach and it incorporates my half human/half alien Becky headcanon along with some elements from the old cartoon series “Static Shock” that I enjoyed watching back when it was on television. There are no aliens in this au. Every character is either human, animal, mutant or metahuman.
Summary:
About 11 years ago, an explosion happened at the science building located near the center of Fair City. A chemical substance was developed there that local and international media sources say was meant to help human bodies become more resistant to diseases. The explosion somehow released the chemical substance into the atmosphere as a gas, causing untreatable affects to anyone affected by the substance. In reality, this substance mutated about half of Fair City’s population. The city was put on lockdown for a few years until it was deemed safe for people to enter and leave the city as they will. Today “Normies” (those not affected by the substance) live peacefully with “Metas” those affected by the substance. Crime still happens that are committed by metas and normies equally. Fair City is sometimes jokingly referred to as Hybrid City. All meta and non-meta relations are handled by the Unity For Humanity corporation that works alongside Fair City’s government to handle legal and public relations issues.
For the mutants and meta population - it is about 50%. Mutants are referred to those who had physical features altered by the explosion. Mutants will also gain new powers or abilities, but they are often powerless. Metahumans are those who gain powers from the explosion, but look completely normal. Those who have mutated genes as a result of the chemical substance can pass it down to offspring, but it is rare for the offspring to gain the same affects as their parents. Even if a person wasn’t affected, their child could develop mutated genes if they live in Fair City for a long while. Those who visited or moved to Fair City after the city was reopened are not affected by the residing chemical substance. The mutated and metahuman genes can become dominant after being affected by the residual gas or lie in dormant and be recessive unless something activates those genes.
Now for the main characters: Note - I will put in side characters and villains in another post.
Becky Boxleitner - Becky is the biological daughter of Steven Boxleitner. The accident happened when she was a baby. As a result, her intelligence increased which allowed her to develop a photographic memory and know about every word in the dictionary. She has the same powers as her canon self and also goes by Wordgirl. Most people see her as a hero but there are some, including those in the police force or city hall that view her as a vigilante or menace. She is like Spiderman in this au. She does where an eye mask to hide her identity. The people of Fair City and the government are more competent than canon. She has no idea what has happened to her mother, either her mother has passed away or left her and her dad. Steven won’t talk much about Becky’s mom. In this au, Becky does not care whether the city adores her or not, She just wants to protect the innocents and keep the peace. She, like many others are trusting of Unity For Humanity corporation until she learns the truth about their head representative/CEO that runs the location. Her powers manifested when she was a baby and her dad helped her to develop and control them based on his previous knowledge of superheroes. Violet does know about Becky’s powers because of an accident when they were younger that made Becky use her powers to save Violet. Scoops and Rose find out in a similar way to their canon selves.
Bob/Captain Huggy Face - He is the same as canon self with a few differences. He was a monkey who was part of a trapeze act in a circus. He was mistreated by the ringmaster so he ran off and ended up in Fair City where he was adopted by Becky and Steven. Becky was already about 5 or 6 years old when she meets Bob. The residual gaseous chemical substance caused Bob to age differently from normal monkeys. He ages the same as his canon self. His kung fu  and piloting skills mostly come from his time in the circus along with watching old airplane fighting and Kung Fu movies which he loves. He is known as Captain Huggy Face.
Steven Boxleitner: He is a mutant in this au. Steven was working in the science building on other experiments and his wife was also in the building coming to visit him so they could go to lunch. This Steven looks like Dr. Two Brains except with more mouse features plus no mouse brain. (Squeaky is in this au, I am just going to put him in the villains post.) He is still a scientist and a college professor as well as a good guy and a dad to Becky. He does react on mouse instincts from time to time but can control them. Steven also possess an obsession for cheese which is a bit difficult to control and has gotten him in trouble a few times. Steven sometimes subconsciously swipes cheese from people or the grocery store and that is about it. People are very forgivable about his actions, especially when he apologizes profusely and promises to make up for his actions which he does. His actions are basically child-like mischief equivalent when comes to cheese. So this Steven is mostly like canon, just with a Dr. Two Brains appearance. Like many others, Steven does not know what caused the explosion or chemical substance. He does know what happened to his wife and what caused her to leave him and Becky when she was about a year old. He refuses to talk about her because of how painful and horrible the reasons actually were. He will talk a little about her to Becky if she asks about her mother, mainly like their first date or her physical appearance, but that is about how far Steven will let himself talk about his wife. He does know she is still somewhere in Fair City. But he will never divulge how he knows.

Attention Residents Of Fair City
Fair City’s government and the Unity For Humanity corporation like to present you with a gift to communicate with the outside world. These devices will be given to every resident, criminal, and not as a way to present your voice to the public. This project will hopefully bring together the metahumans, mutants, and normal citizens of Fair City into a closer bond. The communication devices are free of charge so come to a Unity For Humanity stand and pick one up. These devices will allow you to ask others questions about themselves and let you give your own answers to their questions or requests. Here are some rules everyone needs to follow so that everyone can have fun and enjoy these new communication devices.
Rules:
1. Pr*shippers and Incest Shippers will be denied from making asks and banned from using the devices.
2. No NSFW ask allowed. Children are given these communication devices so inappropriate content is banned.
3. Hateful language and toxic asks are forbidden.
4. If you want to ask someone about serious topics, a trigger warning will be put at the bottom of your question for the safety and concern of other viewers.

Oh hello @melodythebunny. I am known as The Protector. I detected your ask through the devices but unfortunately someone else had responded before I could. I would like to give you an honest answer as I make sure all my followers are honest with each other as I am with them. Things will be better soon. Once I have achieved my goals, mutants and meta humans alike will be liberated from the laws of normies and free from their abuse and corruption. I and my brothers and sisters will establish a peaceful utopia for all mutant and meta kind. All normies will be replaced as the second class lower, vile beings they are. I hope you are one of us or one of them. Either way, don't bother or try to get in my way or it will end badly for you.
Thank you and have a pleasant day.

Do meta humans and mutans get along?
What about "normies" aka 'normal' humans
Becky: Meta humans and mutants get along fairly well. According to my dad it is like how people were before the explosion. Of course there are a few meta humans *scoffs* mainly Victoria's family, who think they are superior to humans and even mutants because they are still "human looking" yet are more powerful then regular people. There are some mutants who are jealous of meta humans for personal reasons but other than that, relations between metas and mutants are usually peaceful. They are often categorized in the same group together different from normal humans
Steven: Unfortunately things cannot be said the same with normal humans. Normal humans are either prejudice towards mutants and meta humans or frightened of them. Though not all normal humans are bad and there are most that do get along with mutants and metas.
Becky: Sadly dad is right. It also doesn't help with those like The Protector and their followers causing trouble for normies and expressing a strong dislike towards them.
*Steven says nothing but it is clear he is despondent*

Maria Primrose - Thank you so much for finding these lost individuals. I will make sure that my organization, Unity For Humanity, will take good care of them. Hopefully our aid will help further our cause for uniting all life on Earth, no matter what species they are or what they look like. @liloskull343

fair city is peaceful in this universe or is it chaotic?
Steven: *sighs* It was pretty much a chaotic place in the immediate aftermath of the explosion. Everyone was freaking out over these new and unusual changes to their bodies. Most businesses closed down and riots broke out. Everybody was panicking and fearful of what was happening. Things were only made worse when the national government issued a quarantine around the city. Nobody could enter and no one could leave. People who were mutants or metahumans were treated as if they had a disease. Prejudice towards mutants and metas and vice versa towards regular humans skyrocketed. Luckily my line of work allowed me to do my job at home. It wasn't safe out there. I was fearful about even taking Becky out there when I had too. It was difficult for me to get a babysitter during this time. Luckily finding Bob helped me a lot. He's a pretty smart monkey. I don't know if it was due to the chemical residue from the explosion or if he was already that intelligent, but he seemed to handle being a guardian figure towards Becky when I had to focus on my paper work and conducting online schooling.
Things did get better when the Unity for Humanity Company was established in Fair City. They were able to utilize resources to open hospitals for mutants and metas as well as re open businesses and provide jobs for all who lived in Fair City. They did help to ease tensions and relations from both sides, although things are still tense now. I was able to get a chance to write a book on mutants and metahumans which seemed to help people understand each other's perspective on their new lives.
Now, things are better then years ago. Unfortunately there are still some prejudices and issues among the citizens. There is also the threat of The Protector's group Metas and Mutants Forever which does cause a bit trouble for law enforcement, although they mostly just do protests and some vandalism right now. Though for how long that will last according to The Protector, I don't know.
I don't think things will ever go back to the way it was before that chemical explosion.

Mutants and Metahumans of Fair City: The Villains Part 1
Now the villains in the au are a combination of Mutants and Metahumans as well as normal people. The are a bit more dangerous than their canon selves but they won’t kill people. (Except for about two.) This section will contain about two or more posts because there are a lot of changes to the villains. Mutants can also have powers like metahumans, they just don’t look human in this au.
Main Villains:
Miss Power - Personality wise, same as canon. Miss Power is otherwise known as Maria Primrose who is the main representative and head CEO of the Unity for Humanity Company in Fair City. This building is a front for her illegal dealings and to hide her actions behind the incident. She was secretly working with some government high power to create a bioweapon that would create the perfect super soldiers out of civilians if the need should ever arise. The way this chemical substance works is that civilians could be able to fight back in case of invasions or foreign attack without having the need for any prior army training because they would be suited up with new powers and abilities. The explosion was caused when an insider from the nation’s government that Fair City belonged to discovered Miss Power’s plans and tried to safely sabotage it because of the many ethnic violations it proposes. Maria discovered the insider and engaged in a tussle with them. The fight is what lead to the explosion killing most of those inside of the room, including the insider, and released the gas into Fair City. Maria survived but half of her face became mutated like canon. She uses her mutated face along with her manipulation tactics to get people to believe in her and that she is supporting a good cause in helping humans and non-humans in Fair City live in harmony with each other and hopefully the rest of the world. It wasn’t until after she was removed from the hospital during recovery did she discover her canon powers. Miss Power is more of a frequent villain in this au but does her villain operations in the dark for a while until Wordgirl finds out about her ‘true’ character. She is like Hannibal McFist from Randy Cunningham; 9th Grade Ninja, only more evil and deadly. Miss Power’s civilian outfit is a grey dress suit and grey dress pants with a light blue undershirt. She has her hair pulled back in civilian form. Her villain outfit is the same as canon with the differences being her blue visor also acts as a mini computer that hides her face from camera recognition. She also has a light blue hoodie to cover her hair. Her main goal is to rule over Fair City and the world with an army of metas and mutants loyal to her command. She looks at everybody as beneath her. For Colonel Gigglecheecks, well he is a lot bigger than canon, more human sized and shaped. He works as Miss Power’s personal bodyguard and attack dog if needed. He is a mindless mutant with special abilities like canon and is very vicious. For his origin, let’s just say Miss Power found a way to make the insider useful and make them ‘”fix” their mistakes, despite death.
The Protector - the Protector is a villain that Wordgirl faces later on than at the start of her heroic career. The Protector is an individual who does not believe that humans and non-humans can live in peace with each other because humanity is corrupt. (Humans were technically the cause of the incident in the first place.) The Protector believes that metahumans and mutants should rule the earth and “normies” need to be replaced as the dominant species. The Protector leads a group of mutant and metahuman followers called “Metas and Mutants Forever!” who lead protests and demonstrations, and also attacks against humans and establishments to try and get all the metas and mutants of Fair City to support them. The Protector does not want to rule the earth through power but through creating their own governments that can take over other “human” governments. The Protector is less worse about domination than Miss Power, this person won’t sacrifice others for the cause that are like them. The Protector is not above killing if necessary. The Protector’s end goal is equality for all metahumans and mutants, above humans. No one knows what The Protector’s abilities are, their gender, nor whether they are a mutant or metahuman because when asked The Protector will reply “I am all like my brothers and sisters.” The Protector where’s a black helmet and black, padded clothing with a black cloak. The helmet and the cloak have blood red lining. The helmet has a hidden modulator that muffles the voice so no one can tell if the Protector is a boy or a girl. The Protector is rumored to be an extremely powerful being because many attempts were made on The Protector’s life, yet none have succeeded. The only ones that died were the ones that tried to kill the protector. No one knows The Protector’s identity, no one, except possibly maybe one person who is just a bit “furry”.
