Those final notes where the whole cast is singing in unison get me every time I swear

Literally iconic. The most musical theatre song. Incorporates nearly every main character in the show with a solo, all at the same time. Lots of stage choreography and marching, which I can tell you is a huge pain to organize for some reason. Also, Les mis is a prominent story, not just with the song structure but with the themes. And there's a revolution and flag waving! Just well done.

It's unique in the way that the full cast sings completely different parts yet are all still unified in the way that it ties all of the different storylines together.

its moving its heartbreaking its real its human. its the longing for another human to just be there for you and have the littlest things with them. its seeing the main character who's faced his commitment issues throughout the musical admit he needs to not be alone, whether romantically or not. raul esparza's performance gets me close to tears

A profound ballad about the vulnerability of letting another person fully and wholly into your life
