How does your product engage with audiences, and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

In terms of engagement with the audience, my film is mysterious about the character and plot, only giving some hints, that catch the attention and make the viewers want to watch more to uncover the story. Even though my footage doesn't look profesional due to my camera quality and lack of equipment, I still tried to make it look more like a real movie using unconventional aspect ratio, colouring and traditional cinametic techniques. Also I mentioned "the deal in Prague" that adds a backstory and creates a feeling of more global narrative, and also audience can relate to a real world place. The movie is aimed for 16+ audience.

One of my goals was to show a character that people would sympathise with. First of all, it's important to understand that the basis of any drama is for viewers to have some connection with the characters through association with them. An association is possible only if you recognize yourself, your loved ones or someone familiar with that character, or if you know at least something about the character (that's why exposition is important).

I’ve explored different movie characters that people in today society like or relate and here are the reasons and similarities between them that I found: they reject societal norms and conformity, are depicted with some psychological nuances, and these movies often explore themes of loneliness, purpose, and the search for meaning, which every human has experienced.

Even though my opening didn’t have a lot of exposition, my character Patrick still embodies some of these qualities. We see a sucessfull businessman which may be a career goal to some, we get to know his tastes in art and music, then we're hinted about his mysterious past, and later we witness his solitary moments and silent reflections.

In terms of distribution as a real media text, this film could be presented at film festivals to gain attention from critics, distributors and hear out the opinions. Releasing the film on various streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Vdieo and HBO Max would make it globally accessible, but also I could upload it online on social media like youtube or vimeo for indie filmmakers for a more niche audience. Short clips or teasers could be published on platforms like TikTok or Twitter, to gain more viewers of different demographics. Also making collaborations with influencers could help to promote it. If I could, I would also produce merchandising for this film. I could as well release a limited edition Blu-Ray DVDs for collectors of exclusive movies, with never-seen-footage and bloopers. Most effective marketing technique would for my movie to become a online meme. All these methods would help me to build a community around my film. People would share reviews, opinions, arts, have discussions, and consequently be more engaged and help distribute my film both locally and globally.
