i was just wondering, are the universe numers random or do they have a meaning? and if they are random, how do you choose them?

hehe I've been waiting for someone to ask about the universe numbers! the answer is they're kind of random and they're kind of not.

some of them have pretty obvious meanings: 666 for antichrist, 1289 i.e. the number of the beast for the post-apocalyptic one, 42 i.e. the meaning of life for our world.

some are a bit looser: 3 and multiples of 3 are really important in celtic pagan traditions, so I chose 339 for that universe. 7's are important to selkies, so that universe was 177.

some I literally put into a random number generator!

some of them also have letters—this is the idea that certain universes split off more recently in their development, so 284c is a divergence from the original 284.

the other rule is that the universes were named based on their proximity to sirius's home world. it's a huge spiral with infinite universes, so it's not always a direct correlation, but generally the lower numbers are going to be more similar to his home world, and the higher numbers are going to be more out there...

Is it possible for someone to be able to easily move from one universe to the next due to an external influence? Like for example, if someone spent an extended amount of time exposed to ultraspace or an ultrabeast which on itself, it's not from this world yet they find their way into the pokemon world. Would that make the affected person more prone to universe hopping?

Maybe? I feel like I've seen something like that in rotomblr before, but I'm not sure, and I myself have no experience with ultraspace or beasts, unless the machine I live in uses it without me being aware.

During some RPs in the Ink Server™️ we came up with nicknames to differentiate between our two Ink’s, and we came up with Heart for ST! Ink and Bee for Hex!Ink!

You said Sirius can’t travel to worlds where he’s dead, but what would happen if he died in a world, would both version (traveling and in-universe) die??? 🥺

In-universe Sirius would die without question. Under most circumstances, travelling Sirius would be able to jump in time (which is part of why he's so unreasonably chill in a lot of situations). If it was a very sudden death, he might risk getting splinched, or in absolute worst case scenario, having his consciousness stranded without a body.

He could also do an emergency jump back to his own body, but that would be a last resort for Reasons.

Did you really think that I hadn't considered the possibility of our entire existence being a work of ficcion, probably collaborative given the amount and variety of people here? I mean, it would explain why a lot of fallers seem to come from worlds that are fictional in the universe the scientists watch with the machine. I mean, today I have seen a girl from Amphibia is starting to have the same story here (really sad, if that's the case). It would also explain the inconsistencies of people visiting people in other universes without noticing, or pelipper mail doing that constantly, or whatever is going on with magic anons, but, you know what? I like to think that that's not true, that we are people (or pokemon or whatever, I'm using it in general) with free will and that the pokemon franchise exist in that universe for the same reason everything else happens around here, multiverse shenanigans.
