   It was quite the surprise to see Xiao being the one to approach him,  to say the least,  but to be given a gift ?  Well now,  considering the fact he already knew that almond tofu was the younger adeptus’  favourite food ...  Did he have any idea what something like this meant ?  The food was left aside at first as he leaned in close,  tail coming to rest around the other’s waist with a playful growl.

   “ To my kind ,  gift giving is a sign of courtship . ”  He warned,  bringing Xiao against his side with a smirk on his lips.  “ What ,  are you finally going to admit that you  do  want me ? ”

Soul Searching || Closed RP

Today is a good day for a block party in New York City where venues are set to make food and sell food. In Harlem, where a lot of people are walking about as good food are being served. 

In one of the stalls, a young black teen is serving a medium wide cup with one divider, creamy mac n’ cheese in one side and saucy buffalo bites in another. His friends are helping with the cooking following his directions. 

“Jaron, these foods are great and everyone is lovin them!” A blond is stirring the pot where the mac n cheese is cooked.

“Thanks! Ophelia! How’s the sweet hisbcus tea ice coming along?” The black teen named Jaron exclaimed. 

“Fantastic!” A brunette in a ponytail and wearing rounded glasses smile. “I’m glad that you ask me for this!” 

“Well you know how to make a great garden! I hope the sweet tea gets these guys pumping for the whole night along.” Jaron smiled.  “Maggie, check the oven of the baked potatoes.”

“On it!” A flaming redhead checks the oven of the potatoes.  

As the team led by Jaron are in harmony as they’re working together, getting what Jaron needs, someone interesting came by the stall.

“Hey man, welcome to Jaron’s Soul Food Corner, what I can get ya?” Jaron asked the stranger.

          Sora wasn’t against biting people, obviously, but she liked there to be some kind of reason for it. Even if it was just as simple as someone being annoying. Biting someone just because you lost your temper, though, was bad. Seeing Gorou do this reminded her of what her mother used to do when Sora had done something similar as a child. 

          And so without hesitation, she makes her way over to his side and bites down on his arm.

The footfalls that approached the sixth were frenzied, even behind the mocking masks they donned, the terror was obvious, palpable, punctuated by the scent of burning flesh clinging to their clothing, “M-my lord!” the words were staggered through labored breaths, both falling to their knees upon entering the space, trembling with barely contained fright, “R-reports from th-the...the...oh Archons...”

One dissolved into quiet tears, hand sliding beneath the veil of anonymity, shaking with noiselessly sobs as they fought down the way bile rose in their throat, taking a moment before continuing to speak in their comrade’s stead, “...reports from Seirai Island, sir...we are all that remains of our platoon - an anomaly emerged from Amakumo Peak...the soldiers...all of them we’re...they were melted - not even bones remained.”

Taken the moment of offered respite to compose themselves, the first continued, “The anomaly...she only uttered a single sentence before we made our escape - a question; how many soldiers does it take to deliver a message? I...w-we didn’t know what to make of i-ULK!” the stench that filled the space was overwhelming, cloth and flesh sloughing away from muscle and bone as they liquefied, the skeletal too eroding away, leaving behind a pool of melted effluence and something that held a sickly sweet aroma.

The remaining Fatui agent recoiled, started to scream incomprehensibly as they fled from the harbinger’s presence as the answer to the inquiry posed revealed itself - one.
