SDKJFLKDSFJ I DIDN'T KNOW HE DID THAT. I love ritsu and his weaponized use of honorifics, he's so funny. teru uses "dimple-kun" generally too, this spirit gets no respect

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 6 - Episode 5: Reigen’s Will - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren’t depicted in the OVA. More info here!
Here’s the translation of the sixth track, “Episode 5: Reigen’s Will”!
Characters: Reigen, Serizawa
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
REIGEN [As Narrator]
This fifth story takes place within the looping train, when I’d resigned myself to the fact that I was going to die.
[BGM: train moving]
[SFX: scratching into floor with screwdriver]
REIGEN
“Reigen… Arataka… was here.” Damn it, my vision’s going… as if Serizawa’s screwdriver would turn out handy after all, for something like this...
[SFX: dropping screwdriver, pained inhale]
That Serizawa… where did he go? It’s been a week since he vanished.
[SFX: a few pained deep breaths, flipping of page]
“Trip Guidebook”, huh… when I was making this, I really didn’t think this kind of situation would happen, did I…
[SFX: flipping of pages, pained exhale]
“Fun memos”... I need to tell my mother and those guys what they should do after I die… my final job.
[SFX: Pen click; pained exhale, begins writing]
“Father, mother,
I’m so sorry that it’s come to this. Honestly, I didn’t think this would ever happen, so I apologise. If I think about it, after I left my job, I was nothing but a nuisance and a worry to you both, and I’m sorry that I couldn’t give you the love and respect required of me.
However, through the office I work at now, I’ve obtained many things. Above all, I was blessed when it comes to my employees. At the office I run, I have an employee named Kageyama Shigeo - I want to give ownership of the business to him. The formalities of that will take time and labour, but I’ll leave that in your hands…
Mob, I’m a nuisance to you as well now like this, aren’t I? But. Even without me, I want you, together with Serizawa, Ritsu and Hanazawa, to continue to make the office greater…
If all of you work together, then even without me, surely, you’ll be able to manage fine.
Do your best, and make S&S the greatest consultation office in the world for me.
If it’s you guys, you can definitely do-”
[SFX: pen drop, Reigen collapses, voice as if about to cry]
[BGM: creepy piano that gets louder and louder as he continues]
Damn it… seriously, damn it! Why am I the only one suffering…? Even when I was in primary school, playing games with everyone, whenever it’d be my turn I’d get skipped over… I’d never recover from my colds… when it comes down to it, I just stood out as someone buggy…
What was it called, that game...
That’s right… “Ninja Khaiden”[1]. How nostalgic…
I frantically memorised that spell, that’d let you start the game off in the strongest position possible... [2] I can recite it even now.
Na-n-ta-ko-ro, ko-cchi-to-ru.
Eh….huh? What was it?
Na-n-ta-ko-ro, ko-cchi-to-ro...no-ro-ma-n...
Eh… wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. That’s not it.
Na-n-ta-ko-ro, ko-cchi-ko-ro?
What? Seriously, what was it... I was always able to recall it.
I definitely have it down as far as “tsu-ku-ki-na”...
Damn it, seriously, what was it?
Just a little more...
Uh, If I remember correctly… Um...
Ah, seriously!? What was it!?
To be in the strongest position poss-!
[SFX: Train door opening]
SERIZAWA
Ah, amazing! The landlady made onigiri with some bodai butterfish rice-
REIGEN
Serizawa-san! Where the hell did you go? I was looking for you!
REIGEN [as Narrator]
And like that, somehow or another… I survived. I’ll likely not forget the taste of that onigiri for as long as I live. And even now… I can’t remember that spell.
--
And here’s the subbed audio! Thank you @mobu-time!
youtube
--
TN: Goodness this was hard to translate. It’s SO difficult to understand what he’s saying because his speech is very slurred from… y’know, dying. I’m a bit iffy on the “tsu-ku-ki-na” bit but the rest is fine, I BELIEVE, because I ended up spending hours on this one translation mxcvn.
[1] This is a play on the Japanese title of Ninja Gaiden (a famicom/NES game) which is ‘ninjaryuukenden’ (lit. Ninja dragon sword story). Clearly in the Mob universe it’s called ‘ninjaryuumaden’ instead (Ninja dragon magic story). I don’t have enough brains to translate such a thing, pls take “Ninja Khaiden” instead mncvbcbcnvb
[2] Spell, as in, a video game cheatcode

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 7 - Episode 6: Ritsu Can’t Sleep - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren’t depicted in the OVA. More info here!
Here’s the translation of the seventh track, “Episode 6: Ritsu Can’t Sleep”!
Characters: Ritsu, Reigen, Serizawa, Mob, Teru
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
RITSU [As Narrator]
This sixth story regards the night in which I couldn’t sleep at the onsen ryokan.
EVERYONE
Goodnight!
[SFX: light switch goes off, making themselves comfortable]
REIGEN (thinking)
It’s no use… I can’t sleep. Damn it, the rest of those guys are probably sound asleep, tired out from the onsen and their meals…
[SFX: uncomfortable groaning from Ritsu]
RITSU (thinking)
How weird… I can’t sleep for some reason. I’m tired, and yet… maybe it’s because the pillow is different to what I’m used to… I’ve always been pretty bad with the kinds of futons they have at ryokans. When I went to one for a field trip during primary school, I also couldn’t sleep… this sucks…
SERIZAWA (mumbling in his sleep)
One page… two pages… I’ve already copied that page down, mum… [SFX: snore]
RITSU (thinking)
Serizawa-san is already sound asleep, huh… he’s so nervous all the time, he probably tired himself out… I wonder if nii-san and Hanazawa-san are sleeping?
[SFX: stuffy breathing through nose]
Hmm? Who’s breathing through their nose like that?
I’m more sensitive to hearing a noise so small like that… I’d much prefer if they were just snoring!
[SFX: louder stuffy breathing through nose]
Seriously, who is that! It’s so annoying! It’s like the second hand of a clock - if you pay attention to it once, you can’t get it out of your head! My eyes have gotten used to the darkness… I’ll find the perpetrator!
Hmm? Over there, that’s… nii-san!? Is he okay? Did he feel chilly after coming out of the onsen? His nose seems pretty much halfway to being blocked up completely… alright, if that’s the case, I’ll hit him with a pillow using my telekinesis. If it shifts the angle of his head, then the blockage will go too, and the sound of his breathing will stop… this is nasty to do to you while you’re sleeping, nii-san, but...!
[SFX: movement with telekinesis, Reigen getting hit and yelping]
Ah, I hit the wrong person! W-who did I hit? R-reigen-san?
REIGEN (thinking)
Seriously, what the hell?! I got hit by a flying pillow, all of a sudden… could it be someone wants to have a pillow fight…? Heh, even though I thought I was the only one who wanted to do that… I don’t know who threw it, but it’s way too late now! How should I respond? I’m gonna continue to pretend to sleep…
[BGM start]
RITSU (thinking)
No response from anyone… [SFX: relaxed exhale] Everyone’s sleeping well, aren’t they…
[SFX: annoying nasal breathing continues]
And nii-san’s breathing hasn’t changed… If I could just fall asleep then it wouldn’t matter, but…
REIGEN (thinking)
Argh, come on… that breathing is so annoying! I can’t stop concentrating on that sound, and then that pillow flew at me… there’s no way I can sleep like this!
RITSU (thinking)
It’s no use… I have to move nii-san’s pillow with my telekinesis! Hn!
[SFX: Pillow moving, Reigen yelping]
Oh, I messed up again! I’m so tired, I can’t concentrate properly!
REIGEN (thinking)
What the hell… someone took my pillow! Is this some underhanded bullying? Or is this that youkai that plays around with pillows?! [1] Whatever this is, I’m not gonna retaliate! I’m SLEEPING!
[SFX: annoying breathing continues]
RITSU (thinking)
Again, no response from anyone… I’m glad… everyone’s sleeping peacefully, I want to be sleeping as well…
[SFX: annoying breathing continues]
The breathing has gotten faster… Nii-san, are you having a nightmare…?
REIGEN (thinking)
I can’t stand it… that breathing! I want to wake whoever that is up, but since I’m ‘sleeping’, I can’t!
RITSU (thinking)
I have to figure out what to do, quickly. If I raise the futon off the floor along with Nii-san, then it’ll force him to change his posture!
[SFX: telekinesis]
REIGEN (thinking)
Huh? What? My futon is floating!
[SFX: telekinesis stops, crash, Reigen yelps]
RITSU (thinking)
Ah, no! I’ve definitely woken someone up now!
REIGEN (thinking, pained)
Damn it… but I won’t ‘wake up’…
[SFX: Mob moving, sighing]
MOB (speaking in his sleep)
Look… I can make this iron bar bendy, too…
[SFX: no more nasal breathing]
RITSU (thinking)
Ah! Nii-san moved! Was the crash that just happened the cause…? He changed his position and his annoying breathing stopped…!
REIGEN (thinking)
Oh? It’s finally quiet...
RITSU (thinking)
Oh, I’m so glad… And now… finally… I think I can sleep…
[SFX: peaceful sigh, peaceful breathing]
[SFX: grinding teeth]
REIGEN (thinking)
Oi… no way… who the HELL is grinding their teeth?!
--
[1] Reigen is referring to ‘makuragaeshi’, a youkai that turns pillows inside out or moves them around etc.

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 8 - Episode 7: Breakfast - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren’t depicted in the OVA. More info here! Here’s the translation of the eighth track, “Episode 7: Breakfast”! Characters: Mob, Ritsu, Serizawa, Reigen, Dimple, Teru
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
MOB [As narrator]
This seventh story takes places during breakfast the following morning.
[BGM: birds chirping, SFX: door sliding]
MOB
(Yawning) Ah, I slept well… I feel great, I’m sure that’s in part thanks to the onsen… Ah, good morning, Ritsu! Did you sleep well, too?
RITSU
S-sure! Super soundly.
SERIZAWA
Everyone! Good morning! Woooow, it’s such a refreshing morning, isn’t it?
REIGEN
Yeah. It’s fantastic.
DIMPLE
You don’t look so good. You’ve got bags under your eyes, too.
SERIZAWA
Reigen-san… were you unable to sleep…?
TERU
Even though the futon was really soft and felt great to lie on…
DIMPLE
It’s because you sleep too much during the day… for someone who made a whole guidebook, you sure don’t have any planning ability.
REIGEN
Don’t say that, moron, I slept fine! Well, if you guys had just been quiet, I probably could’ve slept more soundly, but...
MOB
Eh? Were we loud?
RITSU
No, t-that’s not true at all, nii-san! We slept just fine.
REIGEN
Eh, whatever! More important than that - food! I missed my chance to eat last night, so I’ve been looking forward to this…!
[SFX: door sliding]
Oooooh, it’s here, it’s here! This is it - a real ryokan breakfast! White rice in a wooden container, colourful pickled vegetables, crispy nori, natto, raw eggs… Oh!! Walleye pollack roe and simply scalded whitebait! And that’s iwanori there too, isn’t it! Everything’s here! Moreover, warm flavourful miso soup, and wanmono with a delicate touch of high quality seasoning. Then! Grated daikon and grilled salmon, cut in a rare way… 100% perfect! As expected of a long established ryokan! This is it! A real Japanese-style breakfast!
[SFX: door sliding]
MOB
It really does look delicious…
RITSU
Looking at this I feel like I could eat everything, even though we ate so much the night before…
TERU
Considering I live alone, this breakfast is like a dream to me.
SERIZAWA
And I only ever eat cup noodles… Reigen-san, thank you so much for bringing me along on this trip!
REIGEN
I already told you this doubles as your welcoming party, didn’t I? In any case, let’s eat! It’s all gonna go cold otherwise!
[SFX: hands clapping together]
EVERYONE
Let’s eat!
[BGM: that soft music that plays when OVA title drops]
[SFX: eating, cutlery against bowls and such, happy exclamations]
REIGEN
Mob… seriously, did you put raw egg on top of your natto?
MOB
I did.
REIGEN
Ah, amateurs are such as bother... Listen. With the raw egg, your body becomes unable to absorb the precious vitamins in the natto!
MOB
Really? But, I like having raw egg with my natto…
REIGEN
If you want to have your natto with eggs, then make it only the yolk. That way, you don’t lose any of the nutrition from the natto. That’s something good to remember.
MOB
Alright. If that’s what you say, Shishou…
REIGEN
And Ritsu. You shouldn’t put whitebait on your grated daikon. The daikon inhibits your body’s ability to absorb amino acids from the whitebait. I recommend you have the grated daikon with the grilled salmon, and the whitebait with something else on the table.
RITSU
(unimpressed) Huh. Is that so.
TERU
Reigen-san, you really know a lot, don’t you?
REIGEN
Hanazawa… are you really eating that high-quality nori just the way it is? There’s a griddle over there! Nori is something you should lightly toast before eating!
TERU
Ah, that’s right, isn’t it? That must be what I forgot when I was eating the ibo-niku steak from last...
REIGEN
I’m not talking about that! ...In any case, don’t talk about about delicious-sounding food I didn’t get a chance to eat!
DIMPLE
Seriously… stop trying to one up these middle schoolers with how much you know about food, it’s immature.
REIGEN
On the contrary, it’s evidence of my maturity that I’m able to give this advice. They’re in middle school, they’re still growing - I have to teach them the most nutritionally-beneficial ways in which they can eat. It’s my obligation as an adult!
DIMPLE
You say that, but you just want to show off how much you know, don’t you?
REIGEN
Shut up, evil spirit!
SERIZAWA
But really, all of this food is delicious, isn’t it! This pickled daikon radish [SFX: mouth stuffed, still talking] is so crunchy…
REIGEN
Serizawa… you’ve still got a lot to learn as well.
SERIZAWA
Ehhh?? Did I... do something wrong? Did I take too much or…?
REIGEN
Needless to say, pickled daikon radish just by itself is delicious. However, there’s ways to make it even more so…! [SFX: knife brandished, loud chopping] First of all, cut the pickled daikon radish into tiny pieces using the provided knife, then mix it with natto! You could leave it like this and it’ll be delicious BUT, you could also throw in walleye pollack roe cut into little pieces with a hint of seasoning plus some iwanori! After that, roast some nori for 30 seconds or so until it’s crunchy, break it into pieces on top and… complete! The ultimate pollack-daikon-natto!
[SFX: munch, echo] MM! TASTY!
TERU
Eh…? Is that a special recipe?
REIGEN
So? Anyone fancy a bite?
TERU
Ah, I’m sorry… I don’t really like natto.
RITSU
I’m not great with walleye pollack roe.
MOB
And I just ate natto, so…
SERIZAWA
T-then… I’ll have some!
REIGEN
“Then”?! What the hell do you mean, “then”!? Fine. I’ll eat it by myself.
SERIZAWA
I… I’m sorry…
REIGEN
In any case, Serizawa. I noticed that you’re not eating the skin of the salmon - why is that?
SERIZAWA
T-that’s…! It’s because I don’t like the skin… I deeply apologise.
REIGEN
Hey now, I’m not criticising you. I was just thinking that I felt a little sorry for you is all, not knowing how delicious salmon skin can be.
SERIZAWA
So how delicious can it be?
REIGEN
Well, firstly, toast the remaining skin on the griddle until it’s crispy. After doing so and pulling it apart, put it on rice with some whitebait! ...but, with just that, it’s pretty fishy, SO! [SFX: knife brandished] You take the pickled vegetables, cut them finely… (carries on mumbling in concentration)
SERIZAWA
Ah… I really do want to eat this, but… I’m so full…
DIMPLE
You were able to serve yourself two more times while Reigen’s been making that.
REIGEN
Well, what can you do. So, Mob? You’ve been training your muscles, you need to eat a lot, don’t you?
DIMPLE
Reigen… you’re abusing your authority over your employees.
REIGEN
I’m not forcing anyone. It’s advice, through and through! It comes from a place of love...
DIMPLE
That’s just what a boss abusing their authority would say.
REIGEN
Ah, you’re annoying! Someone who can’t even eat this stuff should just shut up and go suck up some spirits!
[BGM end]
DIMPLE
Seriously?! Was that an order?!
REIGEN
ANYWAY! All I wanted to say is; delicious food is something that shouldn’t be eaten sloppily. Remember that! And now; I’m eating!
DIMPLE
You’re slow. Everyone’s finished.
[SFX: Reigen eats grossly ASMR]
REIGEN
Mmmm!! Delicious, delicious!! [SFX: slurp] Alright, what should I go for next!!
DIMPLE
Oi, licking your chopsticks, Reigen… that’s a breach of manners.
[BGM change]
REIGEN
Huh!? [SFX: more slurping, mouth full] MM!! This pollack-daikon-natto is so delicious!!
MOB
Shishou… my mum told me that you shouldn’t draw plates toward you using your chopsticks.
RITSU
Ah, you’ve dirtied the miso soup!
DIMPLE
The way you eat is filthy.
REIGEN
[SFX: mouth stuffed] Oh, shut up, you guys!
TERU
Reigen-san… I don’t think it’s good to speak when your mouth is full.
RITSU
And the natto, too...
TERU
And I think holding the plate that holds the fish is a breach of manners, too, isn’t it... I’ve heard it’s only fine to hold rice bowls, small bowls and small plates.
DIMPLE
Piling up plates when you’re done with them isn’t good, either.
MOB
And, my mum told me eating with an open mouth is-
REIGEN
Oh, come ON, you’re all so annoying! I was showing you all what NOT to do! Everything I just did was for that purpose. So don’t copy me! I just wanted to show you! Understood?!
EVERYONE
Uh… understood.
[SFX: gross eating continues]
DIMPLE
You’re deplorable, you are.
REIGEN
(echo) MM! TASTY!
Ah… the onsen was great, the food is delicious! What an amazing trip, huh? Haha! Hahahaha!! Haha!! Haha… ha… ha.

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 2 - Episode 1: Serizawa’s Preparation - English Translation
Here’s the translation of the second track, “Episode 1: Serizawa’s Preparation”!
Characters: Serizawa, Serizawa’s Mother
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
NARRATOR
This first story is from the night before the trip.
[SFX: clutter from Serizawa going through his suitcase]
SERIZAWA
Right, let’s see here… I’ve packed cold medicine, sinus medication, an antidiarrheal agent, and if that’s too effective then laxatives… ah, I should also prepare anti-travel sickness medicine, stomach medicine, vitamin supplements and band-aids…
Then… hand towels, tissues, a tooth brush set, cotton ear-cleaning buds, nail clippers, beard-trimming scissors, an air cushion, earplugs, scissors, a stapler, sellotape... And if worse comes to worse and I tear my clothes, a needle and thread… actually, I should just prepare a sewing kit…
Ah - I may as well bring a tool set, screwdriver, those kinds of things…
[SFX: keys in door]
SERIZAWA
W-who’s there?! A.. A b-burglar!?
[SFX: Door opens]
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Katsuya!
SERIZAWA
What... mum!?
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Seriously, Katsuya, what are you doing? Raising that screwdriver over your head like that.
SERIZAWA
B-b-because you suddenly came in without warning!! If you were going to come over, you should’ve called or emailed or-
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Sorry, sorry. I have a duplicate key, so I thought why not!
SERIZAWA
...At least ring the doorbell. I’m not used to this yet, and I’m really occupied right now! I already told you, no? Tomorrow I’m going on a trip...
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
That trip you’re going on with those people at your company, right? Ah, when I think about how you used to be, Katsuya, a hikikomori all locked up in your room… I’m so proud of you!
SERIZAWA
But I’ve already worked for somewhere else since then?
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Well, yes, but the place you used to work was rather shady, wasn’t it? I don’t really understand what that company was all about…
SERIZAWA
Well that’s… uh…
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
But I’m so relieved that you’ve found somewhere else to work! It’s a consultation office, right? Even though you hated counsellors so much… to think you yourself will be consulting others now, you’re truly making the most of your experiences! So, what kind of place is it? This consultation office?
SERIZAWA
Ah! This is the home page…
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Hmm… “Spirits & Such Consultation Office”...
[BGM begins]
“Reigen Arataka, the rising star of the spiritual world, who defeated the Dragger... You, reading this, if you are plagued by spirits or a curse; please come to our consultation office. Here is the full list of available courses, no hidden fees, and a discount for repeat customers…”
Is this place… really okay?
SERIZAWA
Huh? What is it?
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
“What is it?” Well, it’s a little shady, isn’t it? “A discount for repeat customers”...
SERIZAWA
There’s no need to worry! Reigen-san is a respectable person. Also, my senpai, Kageyama-kun, is reliable. So, in order to live up to what is expected of me, I have to properly prepare myself!
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Well… then you’ve been blessed, haven’t you? Give thanks that you’re able to go on this company trip.
SERIZAWA
S-should I? Then, I should buy a present or… ah, I don’t remember if there’s a confectionary around here, or - oh, but it’s probably closed by now… But speaking of, I think the convenience store sells assortment packs filled with cookies and rice crackers… I always used to think “Who even buys stuff like that?” but it’s for moments like this, isn’t it…
[SFX: stands up] Ah, okay, I’m gonna go buy one straight awa-!
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Ah, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Katsuya… I know I said “give thanks” but you probably don’t have to go that far…!
SERIZAWA
Really…? Well, thinking more about it, it’s probably strange to give a present before a company trip… and my suitcase is already stuffed… If I don’t go to the bath and sleep now it’ll reflect badly on me tomorrow - actually, mum, why are you here?
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Well, I thought I’d come give you this!
SERIZAWA
Ah… what’s this book? Hmm? “How to have a good relationship with your boss”?? But… the trip is tomorrow?!
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Well, when I heard you quit your previous job, I thought that perhaps you weren’t able to get along well with the people you worked with? Katsuya, you were a hikikomori for so long, so when you told me that you’re going on this trip, I thought maybe you could read this book and see how it goes?
SERIZAWA
[SFX: flips page] What is this… “How to walk behind your boss”...? “When in a taxi with your boss…” Huh?? I have to remember all of this?!
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Listen, Japan is one of those countries that’s strict on things like manners and rules! There’s no disadvantage to remembering all of this.
SERIZAWA
(sounding defeated) T-thank you, mum… I’m… alright now…
SERIZAWA’S MOTHER
Is that so? Well, I’ll go home now. Have fun on your trip!
[SFX: footsteps]
SERIZAWA
(sounding defeated) Yes… I’ll do that…
[SFX: Door opening, closing]
[BGM ends]
SERIZAWA
AAAH! This is AWFUL! What do I do!? If I don’t remember all of this then - wait, it’s just one book, I can do this - … but wait, clearly this isn’t the only thing that’ll make me a fully-fledged member of society… Umm….
(Sounding out what he’s typing on a keyboard)
“The etiquette… of a fully-fledged member of society...” And-
[BGM begins]
What’s this? “A compilation of the base minimum knowledge a fully-fledged member of society should have,” “30 pieces of business etiquette it would be embarrassing to not know”, “50 things fully-fledged members of society should do that a surprising amount don’t”....? You can’t be serious…? There’s… this much?
I can’t sleep, I have to copy this all down…!
[SFX: hasty writing with pen]
NARRATOR
Eventually, morning came. Serizawa did not get a wink of sleep.

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 3 - Episode 2: Going Shopping - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren’t depicted in the OVA. More info here!
Here’s the translation of the third track, “Episode 2: Going Shopping”!
Characters: Serizawa, Reigen, Mob, Ritsu, Dimple
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
MOB [As Narrator]
This second story is about a shopping trip that occurred while we were on our way to the hot springs.
[BGM: Train station noises. SFX: running]
SERIZAWA
Urgh...
REIGEN
Hurry, hurry! We’re gonna miss it!
[SFX: Train doors closing. Train horn, departure]
REIGEN
Damn it…
MOB
We messed up...
RITSU
Considering the location, I don’t think the next train will be for a while, nii-san...
SERIZAWA
The next train departing for Ibogami Village will be… in 58 minutes!
MOB
Amazing! You went that far taking notes.
DIMPLE
In 58 minutes… that’s not even enough time to do some sightseeing.
MOB
Dimple, since you can float anyway, you could just go on ahead?
DIMPLE
Well, that’s… I could do, but what’s a trip without companions?
REIGEN
What’s that, Dimple? Even though you’re an evil spirit, you’d feel lonely by yourself?
DIMPLE
Nope! We wouldn’t have missed the train had you not been taking a shit for so damn long! What the hell are we meant to do in this tiny space of time?
REIGEN
Heh! Listen up, everyone. Perhaps my stomach ache has landed us in this situation, but, you could also say it’s necessary that this has happened.
MOB
Shishou, what’s this, all of a sudden?
RITSU
You’re talking as if us being stuck here is a good thing, but…
REIGEN
- The reason being, going on a trip is something that greatly resembles life itself. You can’t always be moving forward. Sometimes, it’s necessary to pause, look back at everything that brought you to where you are, and make preparations for the future!
DIMPLE
And? Your point?
REIGEN
Pausing en route to our destination… this pause means we can go shopping!
[BGM start, SFX: footsteps]
MOB
A local souvenir shop...
SERIZAWA
Ohh! There’s so much here!
RITSU
There’s not just souvenirs, there’s bento boxes and local specialty products.
REIGEN
Buy anything and as much as you’d like - we’re covering this in-house.
MOB, RITSU, DIMPLE
...huh?
REIGEN
...What’s with you guys? What’s with the “huh”?
MOB
I just… think this is unusual, is all.
RITSU
Reigen-san… are you alright?
DIMPLE
Nah, it’s clear he’s not alright in the head.
REIGEN
You’re all being rude! I’m always thinking of you all! I get you takoyaki, or ramen, or hamburgers, or…
MOB
That’s true, but…
DIMPLE
Those are all cheap, though, no?
REIGEN
Ah, shut up already! In any case, just buy whatever you want!
MOB
O-okay!
RITSU
Let’s go, nii-san?
MOB
Sure.
[SFX: footsteps]
MOB
Oh, these oyaki look delicious!
RITSU
There’s frozen satsumas over here, nii-san. I haven’t tried them yet!
MOB
What should I do? The oyaki look good, but… this ice cream would be good, too…
RITSU
Nii-san, you really love milk, don’t you? I think I’ll go for something safe… a Zebra Prefecture specialty two-tone onigiri.
SERIZAWA
I’ll go for the zebra-stripe soboro bento box.
DIMPLE
I wonder how this is? This zebra-stripe nori bento box? Well, it doesn’t matter if I eat or no, so whatever.
REIGEN
Oi, you guys! Come over here, there’s something I wanna show you.
[SFX: footsteps]
MOB
What, Shishou?
RITSU
Hmm? An extremely spicy habanero oyaki and a wasabi manjuu?
REIGEN
We can’t get these anywhere else, so they’ll add to our memories of this trip, no?
MOB
I’m sorry… I’m not great with spicy food.
RITSU
I’ll also pass.
REIGEN
Hmm… then how about it, Serizawa?
SERIZAWA
A-ah?! But - I - I’m… (Thinking: What should I do…? If your boss recommends it, you shouldn’t turn it down… that’s what the manual said…)
DIMPLE
Stop it, Reigen, you could get sued for abusing your authority.
REIGEN
Then, what about this? Grasshopper mushipan, hornet larva sushi.
MOB
Food made using insects is…
RITSU
Nope.
REIGEN
Ah, but is that really okay, guys? It’s times like these where you should be adventurous with your food choices! One of the best things about a trip is being able to savour the sensation of tasting things that you never have before! One of the reasons I invited you all along on this trip was because I wanted you to experience new things.
DIMPLE
Hmm? What’s this? There’s something written in front of the register.
REIGEN
Uh?!
[BGM ends]
DIMPLE
Hmm..? “If you buy 3 goods at our store, you’ll receive a special key holder featuring the mascot character of Zebra Prefecture, ‘two-tone-kun’.”
REIGEN
...Huuuuuh? Really, is that true...? Nah, I didn’t know that at all, hahaha…. hahaha… haha...
DIMPLE
Don’t tell me, Reigen… you wanted the keyholder?
REIGEN
I just SAID that I didn’t know! ...And even if I did, there’s no way I’d want something like that! ...Though, people who remember their experiences via trinkets definitely exist…
DIMPLE
Shigeo… must be tough, having a boss with bad taste.
RITSU
What did you buy, Reigen-san?
REIGEN
Ah? I went for the standard sansai bento, dango on skewers, and hot tea…
SERIZAWA
Oh! Looks delicious!
MOB
But what about the extremely spicy oyaki, or the wasabi manjuu?
REIGEN
No way, too spicy. I don’t even have wasabi with my sushi.
RITSU
And the grasshopper mushipan? Hornet larva sushi?
REIGEN
Too gross, no way.
DIMPLE
And there you were talking about having a food adventure.
[BGM start]
REIGEN
Excuse me! We’d like to pay.
[SFX: Till sound]
MOB [As Narrator]
And like that, we bought our bentos and snacks, and proceeded toward Ibogami onsen, but…
REIGEN
AHHHH!
DIMPLE
Damn, you’re so freaking loud! What?! Did you eat the spicy habanero oyaki?
REIGEN
No! I forgot to take the receipt …I’m such an IDIOT!

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 1 - Intro - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren't depicted in the OVA. More info here!
Here’s the translation of the first track, “Intro”!
Characters: Reigen
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
[BGM: Reigen’s slimy consultation music. You know the one]
REIGEN
...So, dearest customer, there are two sides to everything and anything, just like a hundred yen coin - a front and a back… Huh? Which side of a hundred yen coin is the front and which is the back…? Well, there’s many things like that that are entirely trivial, aren’t there? I, Reigen Arataka, rising star of the 21st century, have solved numerous paranormal cases, and I am able to see through to the ‘other side’ of things…
Won’t you give it a listen? This company trip, that was like hell for me… you want to hear more about it, don’t you? Right?
...Excellent decision.
NARRATOR
The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul… and such.

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 4 - Episode 3: Onsen - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren’t depicted in the OVA. More info here!
Here’s the translation of the fourth track, “Episode 3: Onsen”!
Characters: Mob, Teru, Ritsu, Dimple
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
TERU [As Narrator]
This third story takes place at the open air bath at the ryokan.
[SFX: water movements, relaxed sighing]
RITSU
This onsen is great…
TERU
You’re right… It’s as if I could stay in here forever…
DIMPLE
The water itself has a spiritual element to it, as well...
[SFX: rustle of bushes]
MOB
Ah… there’s something there.
RITSU
Huh? W-where?
MOB
The thicket next to that pine tree…
TERU
Where? I can’t see anything.
MOB
Over there! Where that weird rock is!
RITSU
...Which one is the weird rock?
MOB
Next to the pine tree with the thicket!
TERU
Thicket…?
MOB
The one next to the weird ro-
DIMPLE
Hey, we’re going round in circles here. Surely the sound was just the snow falling from the trees?
MOB
No, there was definitely something there… ah, look, it’s moving again!
[SFX: rustle]
RITSU
It’s true!
TERU
There’s something there…
MOB
Maybe it’s a squirrel…
RITSU
It’s bigger than that!
DIMPLE
A bear…?
TERU
I think it’s still the hibernation period for bears.
MOB
Then… a wild boar?
RITSU
According to my analysis… considering the size and speed in which it moves, and the light brown hair, it’s probably… a monkey, right?
MOB, TERU, DIMPLE
A monkey!?
[BGM start, SFX: water movement]
MOB
I mean, you can see monkeys who enter onsens on TV sometimes, right?
[SFX: rustle of bushes]
TERU
Woah - it’s definitely a monkey! Look!
MOB
It’s true… it’s a monkey!
RITSU
I wonder if it’ll come in!
TERU
Ah! It’s coming closer! Ru-rururururu…
DIMPLE
That’s the noise you make to attract foxes, Hanazawa.
RITSU
This’ll make a great memory… ah, a picture! We need a picture! Dimple-kun, could you take it? My phone is in the bath house!
DIMPLE
Leave it to me!
[SFX: Dimple speeding away]
MOB
Amazing… this is the first time I’m seeing a wild monkey…
TERU
Let’s be careful and wait, so it doesn’t scratch us.
[BGM: angelic holy symphony]
RITSU
Being in an onsen with a monkey… that’s the kind of memory that stays with you your whole life!
MOB
Ah, it’s coming… it’s coming out of the thicket!
[SFX: rustling]
[SFX: shocked fanfare]
MOB
Ah. It’s here.
RITSU
...Uh… what is….
MOB
That’s a deer… I think...?
RITSU
A deer… right?
TERU
A deer…?
[SFX: dimple returning]
DIMPLE
You guys! I brought the phone, where’s the monkey!?
MOB
Over there…
DIMPLE
Wher- ...what the hell. That’s a deer?
TERU
It’s probably a Japanese serow. It’s a protected species.
MOB, RITSU
Eh...
DIMPLE
...So what should I do? Should I take a picture?
TERU
Yeah, we may as well!
RITSU
I’ll take it?
[SFX: agreeing hum]
[SFX: rustling]
MOB
Ah… it ran away.
[prolonged silence]
MOB
It’s gone.
[SFX: sigh]
[prolonged silence]
TERU
...Do you guys wanna go back inside and play cards?
RITSU
Yeah, I’d be happy to!
[SFX: exiting water]
MOB
Can we play Fan Tan?
[SFX: door sliding]
DIMPLE
I’m gonna go for a stroll.
[SFX: dimple leaving, door sliding]

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 9 - Outro - English Translation
The MP100 OVA Drama CD, titled “The first spirits and such company trip; The other side of a journey that mends the heart and heals the soul and such” comes with the blu-ray/DVD, and is officially described as a compilation of 1) conversations from the day before the OVA itself & 2) exchanges that aren’t depicted in the OVA. More info here!
Here’s the translation of the ninth and final track, “Outro”!
Characters: Reigen
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
[BGM: Reigen’s theme, funky variation w/ train horns]
REIGEN
So, how was it, dear customer? Just like I said at the beginning… behind everything, there's a variety of other, hidden sides, aren't there? Once you know the other side, you look at the surface once again... and without fail, you make a new discovery. In other words, you listened to this drama CD, and now you’ll rewatch the OVA. Upon doing so, you’ll want to listen to the drama CD once more, and then you’ll want to watch the OVA again.
In short… you’ll enjoy the OVA and the drama CD again and again, infinitely… Hm? That’s… similar to me, Reigen Arataka, and my circumstance in being imprisoned in the train? You’re accusing me of wanting you to go through the same kind of experience? What a cynical thought… you’re able to eat and drink as much as you like, aren’t you? You don’t have to fear starving to death, so you’ll be able to truly enjoy your own infinitely looping experience!
So, will you enjoy the OVA and Drama CD again and again? You will, won’t you! Yes, excellent decision!

MP100 OVA Drama CD Track 5 - Episode 4: Dimple & The Local Spirit - English Translation
Here’s the translation of the fifth track, “Episode 4: Dimple & The Local Spirit”!
Characters: Dimple, Nebaru
You can listen to this track from the masterlist!
-
DIMPLE [As narrator]
This fourth story takes place at twilight before dinner.
[BGM: water flowing, SFX: Dimple floating]
DIMPLE
Woah… what an amazing scene! I feel like I’m being showered with negative ions. If I mix with more of the spiritual energy here, perhaps I could regain all the power I had in my heyday…
Huh? What’s that? I feel the faint presence of another spirit… where is it? Is it in that mountain somewhere?
[SFX: Dimple speeding off]
[BGM: Birds squawking]
[SFX: More dimple movement noises]
Around there…? That’s pretty deep in the mountains.
NEBARU
AH! Help me! Spirit, over there! I’m here, I’m here! Come quickly!
DIMPLE
Hmm? Over there!
[BGM: spiritual flutes, SFX: Dimple movement]
NEBARU
I’m here, I’m here! [SFX: Dimple floating closer] Ah… I’m saved! Ah, to think I’d meet another spirit here…
DIMPLE
I should be the one to say that… gross! You’re seriously sticky.
NEBARU
[SFX: stickiness] Ah, It’s become so hard to move because of this stuff... it’s so difficult!
DIMPLE
What is this sticky stuff?
NEBARU
I don’t know myself… since I came out of the hole, it’s been stuck to me!
DIMPLE
The hole…?
NEBARU
You don’t know?! Are you… not a spirit from around here?
DIMPLE
I just happen to be here on a trip.
NEBARU
A trip?! (laughter) But you’re a spirit?!
DIMPLE
Like that matters?! In any case, what hole?
NEBARU
It’s over at that mountain. The huge one. It’s been blocked up for a long time by a strange God and ‘something’, but recently, there’s been openings.
DIMPLE
Hmm… so that hole leads to the rumoured isekai?
NEBARU
When I slipped out through that hole, I… ended up in this state.
DIMPLE
That came along with you, huh?… My name is Dimple. I am a high-class evil spirit, and my original aim is to become a God. And you?
NEBARU
Who gives a damn about names?
DIMPLE
...Oi, I’m being polite to you, I only extend that courtesy to spirits.
NEBARU
Is that meant to be a joke?
DIMPLE
I’ll ask you only once more. Your name.
NEBARU
(Nervous) My na- my name……! Nebaru! [1] I - I just came up with that now, I can’t remember my name from when I was alive... As far back as I can remember, I’ve been floating around in the other world, so…!
DIMPLE
Ah, a spirit born and raised in the isekai…? So. What was your plan, crossing over into this world?
NEBARU
Isn’t that obvious? To destroy the weird God and that ‘something’ that’s keeping this world from my own! If I do that, then we can drag human beings over to the other world, just like we used to before!
DIMPLE
I see.
NEBARU
It was so much fun, back then…! Even people who just came to the mountains would be roped in… When they’d be taken to the other world, they’re… so frightened, it’s like they could drop dead! We’d want to get more humans in, and just like that, they’d be stuck in the other world. Doesn’t that excite you…? [2]
DIMPLE
Yeah, that sounds fun…
NEBARU
Right?! But, because of that ‘something’ and that strange God, we’re unable to do that anymore! It’s been so very boring… So. Hahaha… I’ll destroy that ‘something’ and that weird God, and I’ll make the world as amazingly gloomy as it used to be!
DIMPLE
I see…
NEBARU
I’ll let you get involved, too… s-so, eat this stickiness off of me!
DIMPLE
Oh, sure!... but, you’re going with it.
NEBARU
...Eh?
[SFX: sucking]
[SFX: gulping]
DIMPLE
Mmm…
[SFX: burp]
Too bad, Nebaru… but can’t tolerate a low class spirit like you laying waste to the world I’ll become a God of!
[SFX: Dimple floating]
[SFX: burp]
...Even if I had to eat something weird with you… super salty and heavy on the stomach... I’m gonna go back and watch TV or something.
[SFX: Dimple speeding off]
--
[1] Nebaru's name is derived from 'nebaneba', which is sticky
[2] Nebaru’s voice is run under a filter which is fine most of the track, but makes what he’s saying hard to understand in places here, so this is more a rough translation than a very accurate one
