Alright so here's the commission for @mossybrows sorry it took so long! I wanted to do some development and designing first and here is the result of my original Straw Hat. Her name is Jeanne Lawrence (loosely based off of John Laurens). She is a very gay abolitionist and military tactician!

Okay, so here we are!

Missing You is a collab fic done by myself and @mossybrows-draws for the Zosan month hosted by @onigirifortwo. This, for me, came off a little weird at first as it hit me in a style I normally don’t write in, but I like it just the same. It’s short (by my standards) but it’s got a little angst and a little fluff. Perfect for these two!

in response to @mossybrows asking if i like the op movies (i didn’t want to reblog my own post bc i’m already taking up too much of y’all poor peoples’ dashes ;__;) yes, absolutely, i love them!!  

i like the movies in part because we all know they’re not canon and have no bearing on the actual story, they’re just a good time >///<  and i agree, i find it a lot of fun to see the straw hats in different cool/funny outfits, and to see them in more crisp/differing animation styles!

i think one of one piece filler’s greatest strengths is its ability to show more of the straw hats’ downtime or more of them just...chillin together idk, which is often present in the movies/specials.  i completely do not reproach oda for not having as much of that in canon- the series is long enough and he has enough shit left to cover already- but it’s nice to get it somewhere, and to generally just get more full-crew interaction!

i mean, my fave movie is movie 6 (baron omatsuri and the secret island) and while i completely disagree with....i forget who it was, some youtuber i watch who claimed it’s a good intro to one piece, because it’s so off stylistically and tonally from the actual series, but that’s precisely why i love it!  imo if it’s not gonna be canon anyway, why not have fun with it and let director put their own spin on things so we can experience op in a different light.

So, this is based on the ending of Fishman Island, just with Zosan instead. Zoro came there and saved it all by himself and as he was leaving, Prince Sanjihoshi couldn’t just let him go that easily. 

Thank you to @mossybrows for showing me “Mermay”. I had this comic sketched out, but never got around to actually finishing it. But, since it fit in the event, you helped me push through it, so my love and kisses go to you ;)

When and what made you get into One Piece and eventuslly ZoSan?

Anyway, I only got into OP like 4 years ago, I think it was now. I had seen it back in the early 2000′s when it was on Toonami (back when Toonami was good. Don’t judge me, I’m bias to old Tom) and 4kidsdub was doing it. The episode I saw was a Baratie one with Sanji and his stupid lollipop. Completely ruined it for me at that point.

Years later i was bored and my friend had spoiled Ace’s death for me-- yeah I watched the entire series knowing that Ace was going to die-- and decided to try it again.

I didn’t get into Zosan until after I got caught up because I absolutely hated Sanji, and I mean HATED him. I hated him with everything I had and I don’t even know why. I just did. I’m pretty sure it was remains of the 4kidsdub episode.

But yeah, I was looking for pics of Zoro one day and came across one of Zoro and Sanji and that of course got me wondering what in the hell was going on. It was a downward spiral after that. I actually have zosan to thank for changing my view on Sanji.
