🍁Mabon Magick🍁
In many countries, the autumn equinox was a time to revere and speak to relatives that had passed over to the other side. This tradition now seems more akin to Halloween/Samhain but, as we slip into the autumn months and the light fades away, now is actually the perfect time to be looking at the darker side of life and thinking about the uncomfortable things from which we usually shy away.
While there is an element of darkness to Mabon, it is still firmly a harvest festival and is closely linked with apples and sweet fruit. Mabon, just like the autumn equinox that houses it, is a time of embracing balance in your life – welcoming in the dark and the light. To honour this, journaling your emotions can really help you get a handle on the change and juxtapositions that are occurring at this time of year.
Honour your ancestors by including photographs on your altar, making their favourite foods or visiting places you once went to together. This might be tricky, particularly if your loss is very recent, but finding light in the darkness can be a way of easing any sadness that autumn might stir up. 🍁🍁
Sending Mooncraftmagick Mabon Magick and blessings to you and your loved ones. 💙💙

🥚Rebirth & Renewal🥚
Easter is a time of rebirth, a time to reflect and go forward with new intention. Eggs are a symbol of new life and rebirth, just as nature returns to life after the cold of winter or Jesus is resurrected after the crucifixion. Decorating and eating eggs on Easter first became a custom during the Middle Ages, when people would decorate and eat hard boiled eggs following Easter Sunday mass after fasting throughout Lent. This ritual is still popular in many Eastern European countries, where you’ll find families hand painting and eating actual (non-chocolate) eggs on Easter.
The symbol of the rabbit also represents new life as it symbolises fertility, rebirth, and renewal as celebrated by the pagans. The sacred symbol of the goddess Eostre was a hare, and rabbits have long been considered a symbol of fertility due to their ability to reproduce quickly and in large numbers. Sending blessings to you and your loved ones. 💙💙Image by #meraylahallwood. Source: https://chefin.com.au/blog/the-pagan-easter-and-different-easter-foods-from-around-the-world/

✨Moon’s Companion✨
For wild cats, each month will adjust the schedule of life according to the moonlight intensity and the change of the moon position. Pet cats are not as "sensitive" to the moon as wild cats.
But the influence of the moon on cats can still be observed.
When the moonlight is gone, many pet cats will eat. A few days before the full moon, many pet cats will eat less, and their appetite will return to a good state at the full moon.
At the full moon, domestic pet cats are also prone to restlessness, and some cats still try to go out and play.
When the moonlight is gone, cats will often be with people. But this is not the only factor that cats like to look at the moon.
Another important factor is that cats are used to seeing the "moon as an indicator".
Whether it is a wild cat or a domestic cat, it needs to use some things in the environment or around as indicators.
For all cats, the moon is a good indicator.
If your cat often goes out to play, on the way home, the cat will use the position of the moon to identify the direction.
For domestic cats, the location of the moon is also an important factor for cats to define their home. In addition, the results of the new research on cats show that moonlight itself can have some effects on the health of cats.
A view that has gradually become a trend is: allows cats to see the moon, which can increase the natural atmosphere of the cat’s living environment .
And this natural atmosphere can alleviate many domestic pet cats "emotional problems caused by being kept at home for a long time."
If the window itself has good ventilation, then the moon and fresh air are enough to make a cat feel good. If your cat likes to stare at the moon outside the window, try not to disturb the cat.
Looking at the moon can make cats feel better and less stressed, truly the moon’s companion! Sending blessings to you and your loved ones. 💙💙

🌞Midsummer Magick🌞
Midsummer, falling on the 21st June 2022, is the longest day and the shortest night of the year. The Goddess is now full and pregnant with Child, and the Sun God is at the height of His virility.
This is the peak of the Solar year and the Sun is at the height of its life-giving power. The Earth is awash with fertility and fulfillment and this is a time of joy and celebration, of expansiveness and the celebration of achievements.
Yet within this climax is the whisper and promise of a return to the Dark. As the Light reaches its peak so this is also the moment when the power of the Sun begins to wane. From now on the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer and we are drawn back into the Dark to complete the Wheel of the Year.
At this time the God, as Oak King, is rich in abundance, but he too surrenders his reign to his brother twin, the Holly King, and the descent begins.
But before we welcome the return to the Dark side of the year, and acknowledge this great turning point of the Wheel, we celebrate!
Sending Midsummer Magick and Litha blessings from Mooncraftmagick to you and your loved ones.

🥖Lammas Blessings🥖
Lammas is one of the four “Greater Sabbats,” making it one of the most important days on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year. It is the cross-quarter day between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox, and it marks the beginning of the harvest season. Though it’s often the hottest part of the Summer, this is also the moment when the first hints of Autumn are perceptible—the first grains are ready to be harvested, the trees begin dropping their fruits, and the ever-shortening daylight becomes more apparent with each sunset. At this time we give thanks for the abundance of the past growing season and look forward to the remaining weeks of light and warmth as we continue reaping what we have sown.
Wiccan mythology holds that the God’s power begins to wane at this time, as the days grow shorter and the crops are ready to be cut down. In some traditions, the Sun God actually infuses the grain with his power, and so is sacrificed, in a sense, when the grain is harvested. This grain is then used to bake the first bread from the year’s crop, which in earlier times would then be taken to a church and laid on the altar to be blessed. This custom is a good example of how pagan religions and Christianity were able to coexist and even commingle for a time. The name “Lammas” actually comes from this tradition, taken from an old Anglo-Saxon phrase meaning “loaf mass.” 💙💙

🌙Magickal Moon Musings🌙
Solar Eclipse. Blood Moon. Harvest Moon. Ruler of the waves. Temptress of the tides. Do you ever notice that you are out of sorts around the same time each month? Have you looked up to the heavens and noticed that big, beautiful bulb shining fully? Is there a correlation? You are not alone!
The moon, our Earth-home’s satellite, has a scientific sway on our ocean, crops, and moods. It is no wonder this celestial body has marked the passage of time, and been studied and worshipped for thousands of years. Connecting with the phases of the moon can bring awareness to other cycles and rhythms within our own body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Although the moon is always whole, depending where the Sun, Moon, and Earth are in their rotations, only part of the moon is visible to us at any given time. This is why there is the New Moon phase (when the moon is not visible from Earth), Waxing and Waning Moon phases (when a crescent or partial moon is visible), and Full Moon phase (the moon is illuminated when the Earth is located directly between the Sun and the Moon).
In almost all faith traditions, the New Moon is considered the start of the month and a good time to begin projects. In many cultures, the Full Moon is considered a time of celebration, delight, and mystery.
However you define your spirituality, choosing to tap into the energy of the moon can add an element of beauty, mystery, and flow to your convictions. Sending magickal moon musings form Mooncraftmagick to you and your loved ones. 💙💙

✨Eclipse Enchantment✨
One of our planet's most stunning sights is coming to the skies - a super blood Moon on Monday 16th May 2022.
In the year's only full lunar eclipse, Earth will come between the Sun and the Moon.
Falling fully into Earth's shadow, the Moon will slowly darken before turning dusky red.
It will be visible with the naked eye before dawn on Monday in most of Europe. The Americas will get a great view on Sunday evening.
The Moon will appear larger than usual because it will be at its closest point to Earth of its orbit, giving it the name super Moon.
It will also be called a super flower blood Moon. In the Northern Hemisphere, a full moon in May is often called a flower Moon because it coincides with the Spring flowers.
The only sunlight reaching the Moon during the full eclipse will be passing through the Earth's atmosphere. This light will be blood red, from all Earth's sunrises and sunsets reflected on to the Moon's surface, explains Dr Gregory Brown, astronomer at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London.
"You'll actually be seeing every sunrise and every sunset occurring around the Earth at once. All of that light will be projected on to the Moon," he told BBC News.

🍓Strawberry Moon🍓
June’s Full Moon, happening on the 14th June GMT, is named after the wild strawberries that ripen this month and could be gathered by the Native American tribes. Other native names are Berries Ripen Moon, Green Corn Moon, and Hot Moon.
The Celtic names are Horse Moon, Dyan Moon, and Rose Moon. Other English names are Flower Moon and Planting Moon. Other sources quote Mead Moon as the Anglo-Saxon name because this was the time for mowing the meads, or meadows.
