Eggs with a spicy twist: Here I come so called eggs to dance in your taste buds. I'm one of the wholesome food who has rich protein content and I'm inexpensive.I have 2 faces the angelic side would be egg white/albumen that contains nutrients like protein and the evil side of me is the yolk/yellow part coz I have fair amount of cholestrol content. Its scientifically proven a normal person can consume 1-2 eggs per day. So #LetsGetCracked Add 4eggs to boiling water, after 5mins remove the eggs and peel off the shell. In a hot tawa add 1 large vertically diced onion+ chilli powder + turmeric powder + coriander powder + pepper powder + a sprig of curry leaves and allow it to roast for about 3mins. Now add the sliced eggs and let it cook for about 2mins on each side. Serve hot as a starter. Mission name: Paneer potato butter masala Ground set up: Paneer - 100gm Potato - 1no Large onion - 1no Tomato - 2nos Garlic - 4cloves Ginger - 1inch Green chilli - 1no Butter - 10tbsp Green chillies -1no Chilli powder- 1tbsp Salt - 1tbsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Pepper powder - 1tsp Cumin/jeera powder - 1tsp Methi leaves - 1tbsp Coriander leaves - 1bunch Cinnamon stick - 2inch Fennel seeds - 1tsp No. of disasters per fire: 3persons How to launch: 1. Grind the tomato and garlic into a smooth paste using a blender. 2. Heat a kadai, pour 8tbsp of butter and saute the cinnamon stick + fennel seeds along with onions + salt until it turns transparent. 3. Pour the blended tomato garlic paste + green chillies and saute for a minute. 4. Cut the paneer and potatoes for about one inch smaller chunks, add them to the masala along with 2tbsp of butter and give it a toss for about a minute. 5. Add chilli powder + turmeric powder + pepper powder + cumin powder + crushed methi leaves and roast it for about 2minutes until the butter separates from the paste. 6. Add one cup of water, cover it with a lid and let it boil for about 5mins. Once it turns into a semi thick gravy turn off the stove and garnish it with some finely chopped corriander leaves. Serve hot. Mission launched: Best combination for chapati, naan, parotta, dosa and poori. Post mission expedition: 1. Don't fry the paneer as it becomes quiet harder. 2. Wash the paneer with hot water before cooking. 3. If you have less paneer and more guest just add potatoes to increase the content. 4. Take a mixie and grind grated coconut + jeera + peppercorns + dried chillies + coriander seeds and keep it aside. 2. Heat mansatti/earthernpot in stove, pour some gingerly oil, add mustard seeds to crackle, add fenugreek + shallots + green chillies + curry leaves + turmeric + chilli powder + coriander powder + salt + tomato and saute for about 2mins. 3. Now add tamarind water + blended paste and water. Bring it to a boil. 4. Add fish one by one and dont stir it. Add 1tbsp of oil and close it with a lid. 5. Mission name: Squid pepper dry | kanavai pepper dry Ground set up: Squid - 4 medium sized Peppercorns - 2tbsp Fennel seeds - 1tbsp Ginger garlic paste - 2tbsp Dried chillies - 3nos Gingerly oil - 10tbsp Water - 1cup Salt - 1tsp No. of disasters per fire : 4persons How to launch: 1. Grind or pound peppercorns + fennel seeds + ginger garlic paste + dry chillies into a coarse paste. 2. Heat a pressure cooker, pour gingerly oil and let it heat up. 3. Add the squid and give it a toss for about 2mins by adding salt. 4. Add the masala paste and let it cook for about a minute. Add 1cup of water and close the lid. 5. Allow it to cook for about 2whistles. Turn off and open the lid once the pressure drops. 6. If water remains allow it to dry or you can serve it as a gravy. Mission name: Valaipoo vadai | banana flower patties Ground set up: Bengal gram - 1cup Diced banana flower - 1cup Buttermilk - 1cup Fennel seeds - 1tbsp Green chillies - 2nos Dried chillies - 3nos Salt - 1tbsp Asafoetida - 1tsp Onions - 1 large Roasted bengal gram powder - 3tbsp Curry leaves - 2sprigs Oil - 1cup for shallow fry No. of disasters per fire: 4persons How to launch: 1. Soak Bengal gram/ kadalai parupu for about 2hrs and drain it. 2.Remove the valaipoo/banana flower's bulb shaped tip found inside called nerambu, chop it and let it soak in buttermilk water for about 10mins. Strain and keep it aside. 3. Blend in a jar, soaked bengal gram + fennel seeds + dried chillies + salt + asafoetida + roasted bengal gram + curry leaves into a coarse paste. 4. Add drained banana flower into the same jar and make it into a coarse paste. Transfer the paste to a bowl, add diced onions + green chillies and mix well. 5. Mission name: Pineapple sorbet Ground set up: Pineapple - 1no Sugar - 1cup Water - 1cup Lemon - 1full lemon juice No. of disasters per fire: 2persons How to launch: 1. Peel the outer skin of the pineapple, chop them into large chunks for about 2inch and deep freeze them for about 3-4hrs. 2. Take a sauce pan, add one cup of water + one cup sugar + one whole lime juice and stir continuously until the sugar dissolves. Allow it to boil for 7minutes. 3. Remove the deep frozen pineapple and blend it into a fine paste. 4. Take a bowl, add the pineapple paste, in batches add the sugar syrup according to your sweetness and mix well. 5. Mission name:2 in 1 China grass pudding with jelly Ground set up: For pudding Agar agar/china grass - 1tbsp Water - 2tbsp Milk - 500ml Sugar - 1cup For jelly Jello powder - 100g Water - 500ml No. of disasters per fire: 3person How to launch: 1. Take 1tbsp of agar agar and mix with 2tbsp of water and beat it until it dissolves completely without any lumps. 2. Boil milk with sugar in a bowl, turn off the stove and add the agar agar mixture into the milk. Stir it continuously for about 2mins, either the agar agar will settle down and form lumps. 3. Pour into desired mould, allow it to cool for about 20mins in room temperature or refrigerate. 4. For the jelly mixture, I have taken 100g of @jello mix and added 500ml of water and stir well. 5. Take the settled agar agar milk mixture, pour the jelly mixture and refrigerate for about 15mins. Serve cold. Mission launched: Kids and even grown up kids would be tempted to have a scoop. Post mission expedition: 1. You can also add agar agar strips. Boil 10g of agar agar strips in 1cup of water, allow it to dissolve completely and add it to the warm milk. 2. Take a wide plate, add besan flour + rice flour + corn flour + chilli powder + turmeric powder + pepper powder + jeera powder + salt as per your taste buds and mix the dry ingredients. 2. Add water little by little in batches and make it to a semi thick paste. 3. Slit the ladys fingers vertically and make an one opened pockets. Don't remove the seeds. 4. Stuff 1tsp semi thick paste into the slits and seal it. Rest it in a fridge for about 5mins. 6. Shallow fry the ladys fingers for about 1-2min by flipping until the green turns to a light brown.
