My mother loves to follow me uncomfortably close in stores and ask why im buying the things in the cart and while it's ok most of the time, sometimes stores are very overwhelming for me and instead of being able to grab what I need and jet, having to spend any amount of time justifying my purchase and stepping around her cart that she parks in the middle of the isle is like 15 steps away from an anxiety attack

#im usually ok in big crowds but something about stores and having to stop and give someone attention really freaks me out #and sometimes its ok and sometimes i have to go stand outside #i need my space in stores and its hard to ask my mom for space because she either passes it off as a joke #or gets offended/in a mood #i cannot tell her hey please dont make this about you but when you stand too close to me i get stressed #your in my personal space and im not ok with it #those are things she dismisses and if i try to be more firm then im being mean #and she's also someone who needs a lot of handholding #its like being out with a toddler #mom please grab a cart. mom go to the bathroom first. mom stop staring at those people its rude #mom please move the cart out of the way. mom please don't leave the cart in the middle of the isle. mom where is the cart? #mom put that back you cant eat those. mom you can't live on lunchables please pick some real food. mom you grabbed the wrong bread again #mom i don't remember what you were supposed to get. mom im buying this because i DO need them. no we don't have to match. yes im sure #and whatever i have in my hand she'll ask what's that #i just want to shop in peace
