slept terribly once more, then went to the market at 8:30, the weather is finally changing (its been super cold these last days) and the morning air can only be described as "Freibadluft" (outdoor pool air, that particular feel in the air on early summer days where at age 10 you knew, today you and your friends can go to the outdoor public pool) and I got tons of spinach and chard, planning to make just rice with dumplings and spinach side dish today, and chickpea curry with chard tomorrow, but then there were these yellow zucchini shining at me at the stall, so I bought some of those and am considering scrapping the rice and dumplings today in favour of ratatouille with couscous. also will turn my completely brown bananas into a banana bread today, and might make a matcha poundcake too to bring to work Monday, and now it's time for my workout, and then I will also boil thai red tea, so I can have cold thai red tea in the afternoon, and tonight, watching the new Kim Jee-woon film. Today marks the 104th anniversary of the Armenian genocide, the systematic extermination of 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire.

Every year, on the eve of this day of rememberance, young people across Armenia gather in Yerevan and march to the Genocide Memorial with torches, in the memory of the victims of the Genocide.

To this day, both Turkey and Western powers like the United States, refuse to recognise this monstrous reality that forever marked the Armenian people, its scars still visible over a century later.

It’s about time for the perpetrators to assume responsibility.

It’s about time the tiniest bit of respect was paid to all those brutally tortured, raped and massacred.

In order to properly heal, justice needs to finally be served.

and the end of curb also is unfortunate bc i started working full-time outside of home office again yesterday, so now I am coming back home after work too unfocused for an entire film, but also too unfocused for like. an entirely new, or perhaps even dramatic show, where i dont already know the characters etc.
