I've gained a couple more followers over the past couple days, so hello everyone! It's about time I made one these to make sifting through everything a lot easier since I have a wide range of fandom posts!

What is Mole Society?

A MCYT AU focused mostly on Hermitcraft, but has elements from the Traffic SMPs and Empires as well!

Oh my gosh I just stumble into this au again after seeing it on twitter! Please tell me what you categorize the hermits as? Also what your world like? Just want to learn so much :)

I’m happy people like the AU! I’ll have to answer the question backwards in order for it to make sense, if you don’t mind!

The Universe of Mole Society is divided into 4 physical parts and 1 mystical parts. The mystical parts are where the Gods and Magic come from.

The planet itself has no name, but the crust/outer layer is where the Overworld is, the Moles live under the crust. It’s like a huge labyrinth system of interconnected tunnels, caverns, abandoned mineshafts, caves, and canyons! Both the Overworld and Mole Society are vaguely inspired by 1920s Industrial America. Their trade is cash crop and metal.

Instead of a mantle, the planet has the Nether. So, hypothetically, you could dig straight down to reach it. Because of this, lava rarely reaches the surface and the society is primarily made of blacksmiths, goldsmiths, military, and agriculture for survival. It’s vaguely based on Medieval Europe, with other cultural elements.

The End is the moon and they’re a cyberpunk society! Magic goes hand in hand with technology and the Enderdragon is their god/ruler. They’re mostly tech and very spiritual. Because the society is not attached to the other 3, they tend to be pretty isolated. They trade knowledge and flowers/botanical in the form is seeds and books. My version of the End is based on the “Better End” mod!!
