note ; this took ages to look up and research in order to try and not lock the insert into any specific tribe or tribal family for their native side — given how broad and diverse they are. hopefully this came across and wasn’t too disappointing to the requester or anyone else who might have been looking for a very specific type of representation.

Alois Trancy

this man isn’t the most sensitive or understanding in general — so he wouldn’t necessarily ‘get’ or question your religious practises

like if you’re spiritual and perform smudging in the manor then you’re only really going to irritate his demonic staff and prevent them from entering certain rooms for a while

on the other end of the spectrum, smudging is an excellent way of keeping claude and the triplets out of your rooms if you’re annoyed

this would amuse alois for sure — but his interests would be focused exclusively on the aesthetic and story based aspects of your culture

he loves listening to you as you explain the folklores and mythologies of your two heritages — wide eyed and quiet for once as he takes in everything you have to say

he has a particular preference for creatures and deities that explore the gorier aspects of life, and he’ll ask you to retell them often, but he’ll listen to any story you have to tell

and if you participate in cultural crafts like beadwork or shodo or anything along those lines, then he’ll gladly fund your work and might even pay you to make things for his person, his peers or just to display about the estate

he’ll also ensure that you’re never without clothing from your cultures and would prefer you wear it over things from england — be that a selection of richly dyed kimonos for you to wear during galas, or importing regalia from your tribe for you to wear during traditional dances and such if that’s something you partake in

if your tribe partakes in the tradition of getting facial tattoos, then he’ll be incredibly interested in their history and meaning for you

will celebrate and observe holidays that aren’t on the british calendar with you — whether that’s national foundation day, or something that requires travel abroad like a powwow

and in the same vein, he’s not afraid to send his servants after anyone who disrespects you whilst at his manor

Our!Ciel Phantomhive

ciel has a particular interest in the culinary/confectionary side of your dual cultures and would be very invested in trying and recreating the dishes you grew up eating

that, of course, includes sweet things like candies and desserts

(his favourites are dango and saututhig)

but it also applies to meals — especially those associated with specific holidays

so, for example, he would have sebastian recreate the seasonal flavours of namagashi if you opt to take part in any tea ceremonies

or he might recreate some festival foods like okonomiyaki or yakitori when it’s the right season

or if you’re craving something from a powwow, he’ll ensure you have access to things like corn soup, fry bread and so on

he never wants you to be without the comfort foods you grew up with, nor the things you crave

so he has the staff modify the manor’s menu and meal rotation to incorporate more foods from japan and from your tribe

(which is a relief as british food isn’t the most flavourful in the world)

he also insists on trying to learn whichever language (or languages) you’re comfortable with so he’s able to connect and understand more of his future spouse’s culture and world views

he struggles immensely with japanese, specifically with forming his kanji for some reason, but his pronunciation is pretty spot on

but he manages to pick up the language of your tribe pretty quickly

so he’d probably prefer to speak to you using that tongue if he wished to mention something privately

he’s also keenly aware of the history of conflicts faced by native americans — as well as the bigotry faced by immigrants in the uk

he did his fair share of studying at the beginning of your relationship and, well, he has eyes and the situational awareness to recognise how you were being treated

this makes him incredibly protective of you — he trusts you to take care of yourself (you are engaged to the queen’s watchdog, after all), but that doesn’t mean that he expects you to put up with outright horrific treatment by his peers or his people

in other words: sebastian and the rest of the phantomhive staff get some free target practise courtesy of people that insult the lord of the house’s fiancé

Real!Ciel Phantomhive

this man is the sort to spoil his partner however he can at every opportunity — and you are far from the exception

any food that you’re craving, he’ll have the ingredients imported and will hire a specialty chef (or train one) to make it for you

any clothing you desire, he’ll have hand made and imported

if you miss your family or wish to go home to celebrate a holiday, he’ll arrange a trip to the americas or to japan and send you there with supplies and gifts to spare

he’ll usually try to go with you, but there are times where his schedule just doesn’t allow it so you’ll be travelling alone (with dozens of personal attendants)

he’ll study every language you speak independently, learning them whilst you’re away in order to surprise you when you get home

he’ll decorate the manor with pieces of art that represent both of the cultures you come from — or pieces that were made by yourself/your relatives

if there are any local sports or games that you enjoy, he’ll arrange for them to happen at the estate

he’s an excellent partner in that regard

but he puts his business and reputation above a lot of the things he should be doing for you

like yes he’ll spoil and indulge and learn for you

but if one of his most important investors says something offensive then he won’t do anything to stop it

at most he’ll encourage them to keep that talk to his office, but usually he’ll just laugh along and encourage you to grin and bear it

he wants to defend you, really, but he can’t risk plummeting his business because of it

he doesn’t have the means to get rid of someone without it looking suspect — which would tank his reputation and out both of you at risk

if he can punish someone for being cruel, he will — like a staff member of his or someone on the streets

but most of the time he really can’t — so the most he can do is try to keep you away from it all

as his father taught him, his duties to his country and his business come first — only then can he be a husband and lover

Sebastian Michaelis

he spends most of his time with you switching between japanese and the language of your tribe — mainly because he doesn’t like the idea of anyone (or anything) listening in on your combinations and seeing him in such a vulnerable state

he has an incredibly low tolerance for any mistreatment of you (actual or perceived) and, unless instructed otherwise by his master, will just eliminate them immediately after their transgression

a lot of the time you don’t even realise what happened — only that someone is now missing

but you’re usually able to put the pieces together

if you have an argument, he’s usually able to gather how mad you are based on how many rooms have been cleansed and he’s no longer able to enter

the worst argument you had, to date, ended with you cleansing the entire manor and locking him to the outside and the basement for a whole week

(ciel found it hilarious)

if you’re ever feeling homesick, it’s a cakewalk for sebastian to get you back to your family — you can be there one day and back in england the next

but good luck explaining to either side of your family that you’re courting a demon

if you’re artsy and like creating things to honour your heritage then he’ll indulge you, fetching you the necessary materials and displaying the final result proudly

he has met both sides of your family and has scared the crap out of a few relatives when they accidentally almost cleansed him out of a room

(not a fun conversation to have)

he’s an excellent cook (naturally) and is more than happy to indulge any cravings you have for foods that aren’t a commonly sold thing in england

of course he’ll encourage you to eat full, hearty meals because he wants you to be as taken care of as possible, but he can’t say no to his mate and will usually give in if you’re particularly desperate for sweet things or street foods

he gives you a number of nicknames based on new or traditional pet names from your cultures

for example, some japanese pet names he might use are ‘ダーリン’ (daarin), ‘ハニー’ (hanii) (these are mainly used in notes sent to each other) — or, when speaking, he might something more traditional like calling you your given name or an a version with the appropriate suffix (depending on your preference)

and, of course, any other pet names depends on the tribe you’re from

Full Service 🚗 I finally got around to modding the Regalia so that Cindyn can interact with her. The cloth for cleaning the windshield keeps disappearing in Ansel lol. You can get the mechanic Ardyn mod on Steam. He is based on Debbie's wonderful AU art. The modded Regalia I may post for download on Nexus in the future. Elliott Scottish Festival Regalia mod is now up and ready to play!

This mod changes Elliott’s festival sprites to incorporate traditional Scottish regalia for 4 of 8 festivals. (Flower Dance, Moonlight Jellies, Stardew Valley Fair, and Feast of the Winter Star.)

Elliott’s festival regalia includes: - Prince Charlie jacket and waistcoat (depending on the festival) - Collared shirt, jabot, and pin (or Jacobite Ghille Shirt) - Dress sporran and sporran strap (frontal pouch made of seal skin), - Sgian-dubh (small knife kept in the sock) - Kilt hose and flashes (socks and sock tassels) - Kilt (+ pin), - Brogues (lace-up shoes), and - Fly plaid (a long strip of plaid matching the kilt pattern, worn over the shoulder and fastened with a brooch)(depending on festival). Festival Tartan Patterns: Flower Dance: “Clan Lockhart – Ancient” Tartan Moonlight Jellies: “Reflections of the Sea” Tartan Stardew Valley Fair: “Clan Lockhart – Reproduction” Tartan Feast of the Winter Star: “Clan Lockhart – Modern” Tartan

After marriage, Elliott will wear various Tartan-patterned pyjamas around the farm and farmhouse from 6 AM to 7:30 AM and from 8:30 PM to 2:00 AM. He will change out of his pyjamas if he leaves the farm or if the farmer leaves the map and comes back after 7:30 AM.

Scottish Tartan patterns are open to anyone regardless of their family, clan, or registry origin, but I wanted to pick patterns that would mean something personal and significant to Elliott as a character.

do you have any suggestions for making second life characters n models?

OKAY! So basically in terms of pricing it is much cheaper and more accessible to be a furry than a human in second life, usually with people you gotta hunt a bit more but I’ll list you some basics that I think are a good start. Here's a couple things I have off the top of my head, there is a TON of stuff out there on second life but here's the ones I use!

THIS WILL BE LONG SORRY. I REALLY LOVE RAMBLING ABOUT STORES YOU CAN USE IN SECOND LIFE I broke the links by spacing after the colon so if you want to copy and paste it just delete it! You know how tumblr gets with a lot of links LOL

FURRY STUFF:

If you want to be a pony, the Open Pony avatar is free and extremely customizable. You’ll start with only two basic mane and tail items and will probably have to spend some money if you want more stuff, which typically for the pony ranges from 200-600ish lindens depending on where you shop. This is about 3usd, but you can also customize the hair by selecting individual faces in the editor to get the colors and textures you desire.

MAJOR DOWNSIDE TO BEING A PONY THOUGH IS THAT THIS AVATAR WAS MADE BY *THOSE* KINDS OF BRONIES. THERE IS REALLY GROSS STUFF ON THE SECOND LIFE MARKETPLACE FOR THE PONY AVATAR :( USUALLY YOU CAN FILTER ADULT CONTENT BUT SECOND LIFE SEARCH ISN’T ALWAYS SO SEAMLESS. It is extremely unfortunate that this is like, the only up to date my little pony avatar we currently have on the marketplace but we make do, there are a lot of normal horse people out there it just is heinous if you go to my little pony sims.

For FURRY furries, like if you want to be an anthro animal, there is a lot of body mods out there for standard human avatar bodies (which I’ll get to in a moment) but for the most bang for your buck, I would recommend the SugarCult Regalia body. It is the easiest to customize if you ever look to wanting to make your own custom skin textures and is also modded a ton in the community so there is a load of content at the ready for it, the body link is here:

This one costs money, but it is pretty good for the price deal, you’ll get multiple body shapes that you can customize and tweak to your liking. When/if you want to shop for custom textures, make sure you look for ones that say are BOMR or BOMR compatible for the best results!

Really good beginner furry heads that have great animation quality and accessible prices are the Happy Paw heads! The link to the Happy Paw store is here:

Another good store is Anima, though it recently disbanded. Their products are still available on the marketplace and are good if you want a less toony and more oddball looking furry, the prices are a bit higher but they are also pretty easy to custom make textures for too! And like Happy Paw, a lot of mods are available on the marketplace for them!

HUMAN/HUMAN ADJACENT STUFF:

You can still use the Regalia bodies for people, but Regalia tends to be more specialized by the community in furry texturing, so finding human skins will be harder if you don’t make your own. There are a LOT of human bodies to choose from, and usually I say the best thing to go with are the ones with a ton of mods for on the marketplace so it is easiest to shop. The ones I use are Belleza Jake and eBody Reborn.

Belleza Jake usually goes on sale pretty regularly while eBody is kind of a fancier body model and costs more LOL it is so pricey to be an up to date human model in second life. Ugh okay I’m like writing this whilst looking at the second life marketplace right now and for whatever reason I literally cannot find the belleza jake bodies. -_- I’ll keep you posted if I can find a link to it because that’s annoying idk why SL does this sometimes.

The body I use aside from jake is the eBody Reborn, and the downside to that is they only allow like, known store owners to get the texture kits from the eBody Reborn if you want to make it, for that you’ll just have to go to the eBody inworld store to get it LMAO it’s pretty pricey though, I got it because it is kind of on sale right now but it’s still probably about ~10usd. There is literally so many mods for it on the marketplace though. I use it because literally everyone and their dog has stuff on sale that’ll usually fit the ebody and it’s perfect if you want to have a billion fun outfits.

ANOTHER downside to the ebody is that the ass is so big, you have to find a good deformer that’ll fit it if you want to make a smaller body that doesn’t have a huge ass. Second Life creators are usually all insanely horny!

HEADS I KNOW OF AND/OR USE:

https: //marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/101160 Raven Bell is what I use for my people avatars, and here is the whole store since it also sells hair that usually is pretty good too! The heads are about 2,000L and more expensive than the furry body entirely though… but! I have wound up using it a ton to make other avatars. There’s an older model of head they have that they no longer support though since it’s old that still has more mods than their more recent stuff from other developers, hilariously enough. If you don’t care for all the fancy new animations you can go to their inworld store and get the old head.

https: //marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/210372 This store has two free anime styled heads that are better than most the anime heads you’ll run into on the marketplace purely because it’s free to use and there’s a texture and developer kit that comes with it. I think it was ripped directly from that pixiv free to use avatar? It’ll say it’s one linden on the marketplace but if you go to their inworld store you can get it free of charge.

Some hair stores that are typically unrigged and can fit most heads with minimal editing (just stretch/rotate/reposition to fit):

i use she/her pronouns, and i’m a 17 yr old pokemon trainer! or. Somewhat. I haven’t really had the time to train..

here are my pokemon though!! I love em all to bits!!!! :D

my morelull, cas! he’s a little sweetheart. He keeps everyone in check; even me sometimes!!

my sobble, miiko!! she’s often timid at first, but she’s very sassy once she opens up, hehe.

my ditto!! I named them jelly. they are literally a cutiepie. silly little guy.

and, my shinx vincie!! met him on valentine’s day, hence the similar name. most polite little man. he likes to maul pidgeys.

my honedge, regalia! he’s a little shy and a little sharp but I love him so much

and recently, my mimikyu cheeri! I found her in a tera den on a vacation to paldea, and she has a Tera type of normal. she mimics a ditto, and she’s adorable :]

i uh… also have a biiiit of an unconventional friend. I don’t have him in a pokeball (they told me he doesn’t want that), but he will follow me around sometimes!!

…he’s a celebi. But i like to call him “celbii.”

when he shows up to speak, his tag is “celb speaks” !!! :D their text is green!!

Punkie Night

(Drarry, 597 words, Teen)

Challenge prompts used: Godric's Hollow, Jack-o'-lantern, Graveyard, Nearly Headless Nick, Bewitch. Content: Mild spice, Annoyed Draco, Grumpy Draco, Halloween stuff, West Country traditions, lucky omens (too many), gratuitous use of the word 'fucking'. (Punkie Night is a traditional West Country holiday practised on the last Thursday of October in Somerset)

Summary: Draco and Harry are far from perfect people. Which somehow makes them perfect for each other. But it's Punkie Night this evening. And Draco's beginning to think he's the one who's been punked.

Draco is very fucking irritated.

He stands sullenly by the window of their cottage in Godric's Hollow, looking out onto an entirely too cheery day. The sun is fucking shining. Starlings are fucking singing. There are cabbage-white butterflies flitting gaily outside the window. It's October, for fuck’s sake! He opens the window to shoo them away and the warm smell of woodsmoke comes wafting in. That won't do.

Potter, of bloody course, is still asleep—the bastard. Not only that, but he's sprawled himself right across their bed, so Draco couldn't even crawl back in if he wanted to. Which he does want to, rather badly. He won’t, though, because he's got important things to worry about. Though he does yearn a bit for the three more hours of sleep he's going to keep needing every night if Potter keeps insisting on doing that thing with his tongue that takes for-fucking-ever, but mother of fucking Merlin makes Draco just— Well anyway, Draco thinks, Potter better keep insisting on doing it. Salazar, he loves what a wild tumult this man is. His man. Loves how they clash and bicker and how they both fuck up now and then, but also how they comfort and soothe and care and how very, very fucking greedy they are for each other and how they respect and understand each other so very deeply. And gahhh…

He pulls the ring box out of his pocket, toying with the little clasp on the front. It springs open in an obnoxiously enthusiastic way, as if it just can't fucking wait one more second. The sunlight from outside glints off the gold band, sparkling brighter than a Lumos. Taunting him. Urging him.

He hears singing and looks out the window again. A group of children have started dancing around in circle on the outskirts of the graveyard holding jack-o-lanterns made from what look to be mangel-wurzels, and they're singing. At nine o’clock in the fucking morning! On a Sunday!

It's Punkie Night tonight It's Punkie Night tonight Give us a candle, give us a light If you haven't a candle, a Knut's alright

They're all dressed up in costumes, he can see one is a skeleton, one lad has cleverly managed to dress as Nearly Headless Nick, bloodied ruff and all, one girl is in full Auror regalia, and one child is just in a large black raggedy cloth which he assumes is supposed to be a Dementor. That takes him back. He’d spent ages making those sodding costumes in third year.

He almost chuckles, but he grits his teeth against it. It's all too appallingly cute—he can barely stand it.

A cat, black as obsidian, pops out of the hedge at the left of the front garden, swivels its ears, looks up at the window, and then slinks across to the right, disappearing behind a bin. Draco wants to scream at the barefaced omen of it. What next, will a rainbow appear in the sky? A four-leafed fucking clover flutter onto the windowsill?

He looks back to Potter, spread-eagled on the bed with his pyjama bottoms on inside out, hair an absolute tangled mess, looking more adorable than he really has a right to.

He feels set up, as if someone’s bewitched the day to be fucking flawless. Because it really is the perfect moment. Portentous, you might say.

Harumphing, Draco picks up his wand and clomps to the kitchen to make a strong coffee.

He obviously can't propose now.

It’s just too sickeningly perfect. And anything this perfect just would not be them.
