Ok but when Mao Mao finds out about Adorabat's dad he says:"I thought you were a ward of the state!". He legit thought he adopted Adorabat. The entire fandom said "Mao Mao is Adorabat's dad" and the Mao Mao crew said "Yes"

SPOILERS FOR THE LATEST MAO MAO EPISODE! DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HAVE “ADORADAD” SPOILED!

OKAY. I’M SCREAMING. SONORA AND EUGENE HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED. 

Okay before anything, If anyone is wondering about my version of adorabat’s past and family, i’m still gonna continue with my thing because it does derail from canon a bit, and it’s been around since before the episode was aired. So yeah, that’s not gonna change.

Spoilers ahead, I’m not retelling the episode exactly, but just some points that a pivotal to my reaction.

First off, I FUCKING KNEW IT. IT WAS A MONSTER! IT WAS A MONSTER!

Second, OH MY GOD THE... SHE-I- SONORA! OH NO.

Third, HOW THE HELL DID EUGENE LOSE TRACK OF HIS DAUGHTER.

Fourth: Mao Mao and Badgerclops reacting to all this *breathe intake* AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! THESE TWO MISS HER! AND ITS ADORABLE AF!

Fifth: Adorabat is a warrior and it’s great!

Mao Mao timeline

So there are some spoilers ahead for those who haven't seen all of season one of Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart so be warned.

When Eugene says that his daughter's missing it’s revealed that is been “for 8 mouths.” Now, the following is an ASSUMPTION, but let us suppose that she started not coming home because of “banjo lessons” when Mao Mao and Badgerclops first crashed into Pure Heart Valley. When Eugene came to the sheriff’s departments, there had aired 36 episodes before this one. If the epsiode events were spread evenly over that time (8 months), that means that they had an adventure at least once a week. for the past 8 months (however, it’s more likely these episodes has some slight clustering, one week could have three episodes while the next week had none.) This also ASSUMES that every episode has aired according to the shows chronological timeline. Fortunately, most of these episode were aired “in order.” There were a few that Parker Simmons said came earlier than others , but these are few and relatively minor (for example Enemy Slime happened chronically earlier than it aired).  The team does keeps track of the episodes timeline as well. The chart shown in “Popularity Conquest” actually correlates to the chronological episodes which happened before it.

Digging further into the time of the show, Adorabat is indeed 5 years old; the special men started their scam “three years ago” which means that she had known them for over half her life before driving them off. We don’t have hard evidence (yet) of how long Badgerclops and Mao Mao have know each other, other than them knowing each other for “years,” However, this could have been an expression rather than fact. We do know that Badgerclops’s eye was blue before it changed into the present yellow sclera with a pupil. This change must have happened after they met. [Speculating, it could be a bionic eye or a regular eye with a digital, full-sclera contact lens. Badgerclops does cry from that eye, so it must have some organic material. It also changes color when going into ‘ultra-focus” when he was younger and in “Badge-a-fire Explosion.” It could also merely be that his eye changed color as he got older; eyes can change color with age.] We do know that are both adults. If you want my headcanon, Badgerclops is older than Mao Mao (almost like Badgerclops is 29 and Mao Mao is 21, using human years). Another headcanon is that they have known each other for at least 3 years.

I just thought it was neat to have a frame of time when this takes place. It’ll be great to see how the show continues to develop.
