Medieval Save 2.0 (with CC)

Welcome to my Medieval save for The Sims 4.

I've dedicated a considerable amount of time and effort into crafting it, and the work will continue with more worlds to come. As an enthusiast of this kind of Sims 4 world, I've created something that I myself would eagerly enjoy playing. I wish you a wonderful gaming experience with this save. Don't forget to familiarize yourself with the instructions.

Main Information:

1. Remade cities: Willow Creek, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, Windenburg, Brindleton Bay, Moonwood Mill, Sulani. More worlds will be added in the future.

(for convenience, you can download this file and place it in the Mods folder. It will highlight the remade cities).

C:\Users\username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods.

2. The following hidden lots have been remade: Police Station, Laboratory, Hospital, School + Classroom, Magical Realm, Movie Studio.

3. How to install the save:

Place the .save file at the following path: C:\Users\username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves

Lifespan is set to high.

4. This is not a mod! It's a save file. Look for it in the game through "Load Game." Changes will only affect this save.

Hey, stop re-uploading mods & don't download mod re-uploads!!!!

There are two creators MissChipsa (estrellka-chips) & Tiasha-sims that have huge mod-repacks/re-uploads online. One is Medieval gameplay ModPack 1.31 up on Patreon (with a paywalled version)--its since been deleted but still appears up on their bootsy, this is a 7.3GB re-upload. The other is hosted on vk, and the only version seems to be paywalled (big thanks to @cubiertodeflores for letting me know about this one).

Please don't download mod packs like this (even though it goes against many creators' TOU)...to name a few reasons:

You can't be sure the mods are up to date

You may not know what you're actually installing

Many mods have specific install instructions that require the user to read the instructions

Many mods have "choose your own" files and/or require "helper files" (looking at you food mods)

If you're tagged, then your mods are included--if you already knew about this and/or its not against your TOU, then please ignore me!!

So I have had plenty of people ask me where I get my medieval CC for my Ultimate Decades Challenge on YouTube. Hii I’m here to recommend you to use MissChipsa’s map replacement, they make your game look more historically accurate. For example in San Myshuno the apartment are replaced by towers!! It’s very nice

I'm aware of this map replacement and have actually reblogged it over on my CC side blog ( @allhistoricalcc )

There's an insane amount of incredible CC and mods on that blog - more than I would dare to add to my game (somehow I doubt my 1TB hard drive would be enough...). This community is amazing for CC and mods!

Base Game Medieval Save File (WIP)

I love watching simmers play the UDC(Ultimate Decades Challenge) on youtube & wanted to play it myself. They usually start in Henford-On-Bagley, which make sense since it has less modern structures & farm animals! Buuuuuut, I only got the free stuff y'kno. In this save file I only use base game and holiday celebration pack. Soooo, once I finish it, I would very much like to share it, so everyone can play it too without the worry on setting up their medieval gameplays.

I've completed all builds in Willow Creek. I covered some of the terrain using Twisted Mexi's TOOL mod, without that, it wouldn't look half as historical-era-looking as it is. I also used MissChipsa's Medieval replacement Map, had to edit it so it would match the terrain (I will discuss more about the map on another topic, but this is a mod file, so it is optional for the gameplay).

Right now, I'm dressing the Townies in their base game attire, which is really difficult, tbh, I forgot I had to. When I was done building and thought of placing the townies(with cc), I remembered that there are players that can't/don't want to use cc so here I am doing each townie a fit check haha

NPS outfit setting NoCC

"This is a settings file for the Command Center, containing presets for NPC outfits. It enables in-game generated sims to wear harmonious outfits instead of random clothing. This mod doesn't affect existing Sims.

Now, sims in your medieval-themed world won't be wearing mini-skirts and jeans.

"This is a settings file for the Command Center, containing presets for NPC outfits. It enables in-game generated sims to wear harmonious outfits instead of random clothing. This mod doesn't affect existing Sims.

Now, sims in your medieval-themed world will be wearing medieval clothes. You need to download CC for CAS from: lady-moriel, Zx-Tagada, Medieval Sim Tailor & Carpenter [simverses]

This version does not include Custom Content (CC). Additional version with CC will be added later.

You'll need the MC Command Center mod

Instructions:

Place the file mc_dresser.cfg into the Command Center mod folder.

Adjust Command Center settings for outfits:

In Live Mode, click on the computer, select MC Command Center, then:

MC Wardrobe > Outfit Settings > Use Only Saved Outfits > Enable

MC Wardrobe > Percentage for Custom Skin Usage > Set to 0

MC Population > Population Settings > Check Clothing for Inactive Sims > Enable

MC Wardrobe > Age Range for Module Action > Toddler, Child, Teenager | Enable this setting if you want characters to wear our saved outfits when they age up. It only applies to the specified age groups. You can choose other age groups if desired.
