2018年トニ��賞を10部門受賞した新作ミュージカル。原作は2007年のイスラエル映画『迷子の警察音楽隊』。2023年2月から3月には日本版プロダクションのツアーが予定されている。こちらの版はマイケル・ロングハースト演出、トゥフィーク役にイスラエルの俳優Alon Moni Aboutboul、ディナ役にイスラエルの歌手Miri Mesikaを迎えてのプロダクション。

美術はスートラ・ギルモア。開幕前に背面に英語・ヘブライ語・アラビア語でテロップが出ている。その下は階段になっており、劇中バンド（管楽器、パーカッション、チェロ、ウード、ヴァイオリン）が座って演奏する。向かって左上には小さな電話ブースが据えられている。全面の舞台ではシーンによって異なる椅子や机がキャストによって運ばれる。回転舞台の速度による演出が大変に絶妙。主に夜のシーンが多いということか、照明は全体的に暗めでムーディな雰囲気。

休憩なし100分、英語、ヘブライ語、アラビア語（英語以外の言語の字幕はなし）が飛び交い、特にドラマチックな見せ場もない『カム・フロム・アウェイ』ミーツ『バグダッド・カフェ』のようなこぢんまりとした人情劇がUSの外、UKや日本のクリエイターを惹きつけた理由は見れば納得する。エジプトふうのバンドの音楽とよりニュートラルな処理をされているイスラエルの田舎町のギャップ、見ず知らずのひとびとがお互いにぎこちなく、それでも礼儀正しく失礼のないように交流する様は見ていてとても心和む。彼の地における凄惨な現状を直視せずにこのような物語を楽しむのは無責任なescapismと言われれば反論はできないが、それでも見た後にホットミルクかマルドワインでも飲んだようないい感じの暖かさが残る作品であることは否定できない。この物語をイスラエルの重量級ベテランと、UKの広くユダヤ・中東・地中海系の実力派俳優と手堅いミュージシャンで固めたキャストはBW版と比べてもかなり強力。あまり作り込まず、キャストのパフォーマンスに多くを任せる演出で人間ドラマを見せる方に重点を置いている。それとやっぱりこの小さい舞台でバンドが舞台上で実際に演奏することでさらに親密さをもたらしている。
