here's the reason i made that very little guy.

raptor terrarium in a jar. inspired by @jurassicjarsandmore's little dino jars that came across my dash the other day.

in hindsight i wish i'd used a lighter coloured sand, but ah well.

that green plant isn't gonna be green forever (it's the top of a tiny pine sapling) but that's fine cause i kinda want it brown anyway.

Finished this little pet project between work.

I repainted one of the sleeping Rathalos gachpon to be my dreadking character, Lio, and built a mini diorama / terrarium for him. If you look under his wing, or pick him up, there's a very tiny nest with a few eggs in it. :>

I made a lovely living diorama out of things i could find around. Ramble under the cut.

My maing goal was, to have some living organism in my living space, which is tiny. Just like the moss, which needs minimal maintenance, all the while giving me the maximal joy. So here i am with a mini moss garden in my painting cup, because i used everything i already had.

For this DIY project I had to find myself the best living organism which are various type of moss from various places. For example, the best sources were the wall of the local church, a few moss from the bark of a tree in the local park, and another bunch from the sidewalk. As for the rocks i found them on the streets too. I put paper tissue as a bed in the cup, so the moss could grab on something. The tiny benchy boat was a gift from a local 3d printer owner.

Unfortunetelly, this project is addictive, so i already plan to plant another mini terrarium.

Fun fact: while I was looking for paint color ideas for this Dimetrodon in a jar, I found out Dimetrodon was not actually a dinosaur. All those children’s books about dinosaurs with pictures of Dimetrodon in them? Lies. Dinosaur toy play sets with Dimetrodon figurines? LIES. However, I’ve decided to ignore that fact because he’s my favorite. Suck it, evolution.
