“What do you mean you are good at Wii Sports announcer impressions?” I laughed. Robby, Miguel, Eli, Sam, and I were sitting outside on our lunch break. Somehow, we started talking about Wii Sports, specifically losing to Mr. Level 900, Matt, and how Robby claims to have the best announcer impression.

“I mean what I said,” he responded. “I feel like a lot of people can do it.”

“Please, enlighten me,” I pressured, gesturing with my hands for him to continue. “I’m calling bull.”

“Eagle,” he said in the exact voice. Sam and I started laughing, but Miguel and Eil also started talking in the same voice.

“Nice strike!” Eli said with a fake enthusiastic smile and a thumbs up.

“Deuce!” Miguel laughed as he could not keep a straight face.

“You should say something else in the same voice!” I said leaning into Robby. “I don’t trust it until you say something else in the same voice.”

He stopped for a second as everyone else kept saying common phrases from the game. He threw his arm over my shoulder and leaned in, whispering, “Well, what do you want me to say?”

“I don’t know,” I laughed again, feeling pressured to come up with something for him to say. “Tell me a joke in that voice.”

“Ok, umm,” he hesitated before clearing his throat, getting into the voice. “How can you tell if an eagle has an identity crisis?”

“What the fuck?” Eli jumped in and suddenly everyone else was quiet and listening intently.

“They watch you like a hawk,” Robby responded with a slight voice crack to keep himself from laughing.

I’ve been playing more tekken again lately. Mostly treasure battle offline in seven. Also still playing Akuma. I will probably switch to Azucena or Hwoarang in eight. I’ve only really been playing since bloodline rebellion when I got into it out in Korea at the arcades. But that’s pretty much when i renamed the blog I think. It’s so long ago I don’t really remember what the original name was. But I do remember sitting down with tekken tag for the tutorial and seeing the violet systems logo. I was always a street fighter type of person before that. But now sfv is way too fast for me. I like treasure battle because you win prizes. Some goofy ass customizations in mirror battle like Miguel dressed like Rambo. It’s also no pressure if you aren’t really used to long chains of combos and wall juggling. I’ve definitely gotten better with frame counting since Elden Ring. They both move at about the same speed so they compliment each other well. I’m about to break out pokken tournament on the Wii U later. Not entirely sure what is going on with the jobs but I do have an interview next week. It’s online and the county wanted me to install something which I opted to tell them in respect to cybersecurity protocols I would join from the web instead. Didn’t hear a reply back so I don’t have the best feeling about the turnout right now. Still waiting for a final decision on the college one I sent my reference letters off to which says it’s still under review. And also under consideration for another one at the same place. So it’s technically three jobs cascading into each other. Plus some weird phishing on linkedin. But there’s so much weird stuff going on that I have little or no expectations any of it will work out. I’ll be ok but it is frustrating. 🤷‍♀️

Last Night's Dream: The same Uncle that we dog-sat for gave me a lamb as a pet because he had too many. The kids could rap Blackpink really well. My cousin Matthew offered me meat that my aunt cooked. I remember the room was covered with strings of meat. Hanging off the ceiling like decor. There was a party at our house. For some reason, we couldn't turn on the Wii.

Where I went: res, school - Josephine's class, back to res

What I ate: I don't remember exactly. Probably instant noodles with bok choy and egg. I've been eating instant noodles every single day. I also probably had tea and cookies. On this day, Carrie and I also had snack time where we ate the rest of our cheese and a new box of crackers. We drank too. it was nice.

What I did: At Josephine's class, I talked with Erica quite a bit! We joined Sarah at the library where she picked up her books for Marco's class because she skipped class earlier in the day. Sarah and Erica will be tabling with Carrie! So exciting! We also had to sign up for a presentation and I'm a bit worried about it! I might sign up for an earlier date that isn't so close to finals. Maybe I'll even write the script early. I need to write down all the stuff I need to do because I will forget. After class, I had lunch. Samina also asked me to work at 4:00 but she keeps messing up the scheduling so I didn't have a student, besides Zia. They are quite unorganized. After that, I tried to sleep, but I didn't. Then Carrie and I had our snack time! Maybe that's why I don't remember what I had for dinner. But we had drinks, cheese, crackers, luncheon meat, and cookies, and tea. We were planning on looking at the different co-op jobs but didn't get to that until much later. I think we also started watching some NCT live performances to see Doyoung looking funny during 7th sense.
