you're laying in bed unable to fall asleep when it happens. your hand just creeps up his shirt.

miguel doesn't think much of it, you like the skin in skin contact- so does he.

it's when your hand hovers just under his pectorals that he turns to you and raises an eyebrow.

he's still working, hair tired back with one of your scrunchies and his tablet looks tiny in his massive hand. he'd been trying to hypothesise a re-calibration to his nano-bots all day.

"what do you want?" he asks, looking down at you with curious eyes.

your eyes are barely even open, your face turned to face his bicep. "can't sleep," you murmur, planting your hand on his chest and squeezing.

"oye," he bats at your hand when you do it a second time. you groan when his hand removes yours from under his shirt.

"miguel," you whine, drawing the syllables of his name out long.

"amor," he mocks your exact tone. "why're you grabbing my chest?" he drops your hand and cups your face, guiding your tired eyes to rest on his face.

"'cos it's comforting," your words sludge together but miguel makes you out just fine. he cracks a smile, you narrow your barely open eyes; "it is. helps me sleep."

"yeah?" he teases, and you nod. your hand slinks back up his shirt and rests on his chest, for the most part it's just an added heat to miguel's chest. "if you don't fall asleep any faster i'm calling bullshit."

you let out a tired giggle and slobber a kiss to his bicep; miguel waits five minutes and in no time he feels your breathing change- deeper now as you fall asleep.

he can't believe it.

⟼ Pomegranate Cider !! miguel o’hara + “you think i’m jealous?” maybe?? idk he’d definitely say that if he was trying to act like he wasn’t jealous lmfao

He’s seething. If he were in a tv show, there’d be steam coming out of Miguel’s ears as he sits at his desk and tries not to look at you and Peter from Earth-2024 as you chat.

There’s some heat in his chest, it burns and makes it hard to breathe deeply as he sketches more changes to his dimension jumper.

“Yeah it was pretty good! Maybe you can do it with me next time?” Peter Earth-2024 says and Miguel’s pencil snaps between his fingers.

You look back at Miguel when he grumbles and frown.

“Maybe, but there’s always something new coming up.” You say, waving away Peter as he heads for the door.

“Miguel, you okay?” Your hands coast down his shoulders and to the middle of his back as he’s hunched over the table.

“M’fine. Why wouldn’t I be?” His jaw in clenched and his pencil hasn’t been replaced with another one.

“You broke your pencil, and you’re way hotter than you usually are.”

“Mm, didn’t know you were una doctora, amor.”

Your eyes widen at his snark, but then you’re relaxing when he sighs and pulls at his hair. “What we’re you and Peter talking about?”

You smile, “You didn’t hear? We’re going out soon,” you’re only saying it to rile him up and it works.

“Going out with him for what?” There’s ice in his tone and it makes your smile even wider.

“Are you jealous of Peter, Miguel?” You ask it so casually, that he almost, almost confesses.

He doesn’t and instead he sucks at his teeth. “You think I’m jealous.” There’s a high pitch to his voice that makes you giggle and he finally turns to look at you.

“Miguel, you’re seething. What else am I supposed to think?” You wheedle your way into his lap and lock your arms around his neck.

“Well don’t think that,” he mumbles, tucking his chin over your shoulder. Silence engulfs you both for a couple minutes and then, “Are you actually going out with him?”

You pull back from him, your hands cupping his strong jaw. “I was just being polite Miguel,” he rolls his eyes and you tut. “He’s just a friend and plus, I’d much rather spar with you.”

Miguel hums, “Good,” he kisses you chastely and then actually gets back to his work.

“Celoso,” you whisper in his ear before hopping off his lap and going back to your own table, but not before Miguel slaps your ass in warning.
