Hi kiddos! Today we're gonna talk about middle regression. What is middle regression? It's when your brain regress to those years after childhood and before being a teenager, the middle years where you're not a kid and not a teenager either, usually from 10 to 13. It's a strange transition period that most of us didn't have the luxury to live properly so the brain can try to relive those moments if we didn't have stability and safety. Here's some tips to middle regress:

Keep a diary with a lock! You can write fanfiction,stories,secrets,thoughts songs and wish for the future because privacy is a key to feel more independent from your younger self

Do a chore reward system! Since you're bigger you can help in the house more, try to reward yourself. For example if you made your bed, washed the dishes and cleaned your room you deserve something that makes you happy like a walk outside, a yummy food, more time playing videogames.

Find new TV shows that you love! Middles are not kids but not teenager either so they try to understand the world through fiction and stories, embrace your inner "fangirl" and enjoy show targeted for 10 or 13 years old

Decorate your room more independently from your parents, what do you like? And it's also okay if you need to change it a lot, you're growing up and discovering yourself so having a lot of phases it's completely normal and part of life too

Find an hobby that you enjoyed when you were a middle yourself and practice it again during your regression. Writing stories, watching horror movies, playing online, being creative with bracelets, collecting trinkets, there's a lot of great options! You just need to find what fits you best!

Find a group of middle regressors that understand you (stay safe)! For example I have a friend and we both regress to middle ages so we send each other letters with adventures, cards, stickers and tea like two 12 years old would do with their penpal!

Final tip, the only one that can determine if you're regressing properly it's you because there's no right way to do it. If watching horrors make your middle regression easier but you wouldn't do it when you were younger it's totally cool. If when you were 10 you were a tomboy and now that you regress to the same age you're more girly and into princesses it's totally okay too!
