I did a big stationery haul last month, all from the French brand Mellow Days I can’t recommend enough!

There are two bujos, their new Rêverie journal, which the best journal I ever had! I love the thick, off-white, watercolor paper, because it allows to be so creative! (And it turns out I don’t really like white paper). The bujo comes in a matching box, which is really lovely. Why two journals though? The pink one is going to be my next bujo, and I will use the yellow one for a very special and personal project.

I also got some washi, stickers, and a cute memo pad.

06.10.19 // mayhaps I did something ?? absolutely fell in love with Dream Glow by BTS ft. Charli XCX. it’s exactly my type of song with mellow poppy beats and a catchy melody. i had to do a spread about it. i started this bulletjournal about 3 days ago so it could help me be productive over the summer and so far I’m feeling great about it. it’s so much fun and I haven’t procrastinated on working on it or things I need to do. im particularly proud of this spread cause it’s the first where I didn’t look at somebody else’s spread for inspiration. i guess you can tell since it’s really simple but I’m glad with the way it turned out. this bujo isn’t just for planning or school though, as you can probably tell. it’ll be my “daily” (using that word loosely) journal and I’ll be doing kpop spreads such as this one. super excited for what’s to come with this 🖤

Summer studying challenge:

11th August - What was the last movie you watched?

This prompt made me realized I haven’t watched movies in a while 😂 I think the last one was Black Widow. It was okay, but I think it could’ve been better (or, you know, it could’ve been made sooner)

I received my Rêverie journal for Mellow Days, a French little store owned by a married couple I first discovered because they’re also Archer and Olive reseller. But they have their own products, including this journal with 160gsm watercolor paper! I don’t use watercolor but I was so tired of ghosting in my Leuchtturm1917 that I wanted really thick paper. Plus it’s a small shop and for them every sell is important, I wanted to support them.

Look at the packaging! The journal comes in a box that looks like you bought some expansive art book. There’s a postcard with an handwritten note (and a splash of perfume!) and also a tea sample. The journal is gorgeous, the paper is thick, I can’t wait to start using it!

It sounds like this is a promoted post but absolutely not! I just think this shop is very neat, you can check it here.

By the way, I’m thinking of doing a journal review series in September; not really comparing brands because there are still so many journals I have yet to try, but talking about what worked and what didn’t work for me in my previous journals. Would anyone be interested?

Journal review series - episode 4

Rêverie journal - 2021

Last episode for now!

I already made a lengthy post about the French shop Mellow Days, who sells this Rêverie journal in two colors (blue lavender like this one, and coral pink).

My journaling process hasn’t changed since the previous journal. After almost six months of bullet journaling, I think I finally found a way to make a habit out of it. I’m still learning, I’m still trying new things. I’m still enjoying myself!

This journal has 160 gsm watercolor paper. It’s thick, it’s textured, it’s perfect. I can stick whatever I want on the pages, I know this journal can handle it.

I love using it. Whenever I take it out of my bag, I’m happy.

Maybe it’s a bit pricey (28€), but it’s really worth it, and other brands have quite pricey journals as well (looking at you, Archer & Olive).

A pink 120 pages Leuchtturm 1917 (the one I’m currently using)

A lavender 160 pages Rêverie journal by Mellow Days (my next journal I’m currently setting up; I’ll start using it next week). It looks thick because it’s 160 gsm paper which is the dream!
