Just preface this by saying I have no idea what I’m talking about and I’m doing this with the outmost respect and love and just because I’m so excited for TTPD, buuut I feel like Melbourne’s surprise songs are spelling the dissolution of the relationship, letting us know what the narrative in #ttpd is going to be.

Day 1: Red and You’re Losing Me: relationship not going well, feels like an ending but she’s trying to make it work (also we know the timing of when YLM was written - thanks Jack)

Day 2: Getaway Car/August/TOSOTD cheating involved, she forgives (this one was painfully obvious to me) - This is me trying: heartbreak, depression, struggle.

Day 3: CBBH/Daylight: took him back because she was in love. Teardrops on my guitar: I feel like this one is self explanatory.
