"I only care for one person" but not really...

Is anyone else aware of this trope? The idea of someone who will only care for a single person, hurting anyone else so that special person is safe?

I think this newest episode really shows a new side to J. One with care.

The person I'm talking about that she really seems to care for is Tessa.

The moment J shows up, she is helping Tessa with her light panic about the gala and does what she asked to help her.

When Tessa shows to be in pain, J is clearly worried and saddened.

Heck, even in the teasers for the episode, we can see J looking at Tessa nervously. [She isn't looking up high enough to see the parents, but it's high enough at Tessa]

She stops Solver V from slashing Tessa's face

When Tessa is chained up, she is a bit hesitant to break her out. But she is 1. Chained up as well and maybe didn't have an idea yet to get out. Honestly, she was probably feeling really down about the corporate saying she'd be thrown out a scene before.

And 2. When a huge danger comes along, she 's instantly - in the next scene - getting Tessa out. Which actually seems to have hurt J in the process of doing that. Or at least, definitely exhausted her.

And they both help each other to try and fight the threat, and also give each other their preferred weapons.

But, this old version of J does seem to care for more people than just Tessa. This evidence is with N and Cyn.

J does mean stuff to N, but he does seem to be Tessa's fav. So she tries to not do stuff like that around Tessa.

Even then, she does save him as well. She made a 'threat' to have him off himself, yet she saves him from V.

Also while N is optimistic, he does still get fear from getting hurt. Yet he doesn't take her threats seriously. If anything, he was happy with her artwork with the death note.

And with Cyn, she does antaganise her by keeping her in the basement.

But not only does Tessa not seem to like Cyn a lot [whether geniunely or to get her parents off her back], so that would affect how J thinks of her.

But she is still scared when Cyn starts going against the corporate.

She is actually still nervous while N tries to cover for Cyn. She only changes to a dissapointed expression when N makes a kinda dum insult.

She also makes the same face, even with Tessa, when he isn't aware of what Cyn did around them.

A lot of her words and threats are empty.

Something did seem to change thou when her became a DD. She actually nearly got N killed. And I'd love to learn what got her to that point.

Little thing I didn't know where to put it, But she seems to have an intense fear of the corporate. [she's the only one with the empty, circle fear eyes]

She's an impressive rule-follower.

I have to say this here and now Cyn is an amazing character!

In my eyes - she is underrated! Sure she is the villain in Murder Drones, well the host for the villain - 'The Absolute Solver'. I have seen a few videos where Cyn is not the victim here, but I think in a way she is... IM NOT SAYING THAT SHE IS 100% THE VICTIM More like 45-50% ? Well lets see, she was a disposed drone that was 'helped' by the Absolute Solver. She was clearly scared and confused, as she was under a heap of bodies of drones - drones whom are long gone.

Cyn accepted the access, maybe for one reason...or two in this case. She would get a second chance. AbsoulteSolver wouldn't discard her. She wouldn't be discarded again if she accepted this program. She has gained trauma from this and this way she would be free from that pain? AbsoluteSolver would have changed her coding too, we could maybe see glimpses of it. But who really knows? Cyn is a cool character, I would ramble more but I'm holding that off for now :D

spoilers for if you haven’t seen it yet (episode for 6/9/23)

Firstly, idk why i feel like pointing this out, but N giggling cus the birds pecking him tickled him was pretty adorable, I wanted to hug em there

2nd, I love Crow Uzi. Amazing.

thirdly, that one drone girl, who I think her name was Cyn? She was adorable I wanna hug her

4, Uzi doing that dramatic chair turn once she got N & V out of their memories, and then V threatening her with the Chainsaw & the little O-O face was funny (it wasn’t that exact face I think, I just can’t type out the expression exactly)

and finally, that ending was funny but also intriguing. Was that a person? A drone? Who was that mysterious being? We’ll never know until 6 comes out

but anyways that was an amazing episode today!!

Murder Drones Prompt Doodles on Magma!

Basic rules before joining PLEASE READ AS IT WILL EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS GOING TO WORK

General concept of how this will work

There will be two types of canvases “Prompt doodles” and “Random doodles” the prompt canvases will be for prompts only, I will write out a prompt in chat and then artists including myself can draw anything MD related with said prompt. Next to their drawing the artist will put their name and then type in chat “done” when finished. I will double check to make sure everyone is finished with their work and allow everyone to save the canvas/drawing before telling all the artists to erase their work for a new prompt. You can suggest prompts in the comments of this post :D

The Random Doodle canvas will be for art that is unrelated to the prompts in case anyone doesn’t want to do a certain prompt or just wants to join but not do prompts at all. Please keep these drawings related to MD only, they can be ocs or cannon characters but they have to be MD related (also applying the basic rules above).

THE CANVAS WILL CLOSE 5 MINUTES BEFORE EPISODE SEVEN AS TO NOT RISK SPOILERS BEING IN SOME OF THE ARTWORKS BUT BEFORE IT CLOSES I WILL ALLOW EVERYONE TO SAVE THEIR ART

Tried to save their friend and ended up getting their oil on their face. I just thought that was a pretty neat detail, but also being a bit sad at the same time.
