How do you choose the names for your mcs?

Hi! Tbh it’s different every time lol

Sometimes I’ll already have a name in mind I saw somewhere, like Rian (infamous mc). I saw it on Twitter and thought ‘oh that’s pretty I’m gonna name my next mc that’

Sometimes I’ll have type of name I want in mind like Mina (other infamous mc). I wanted a musician’s name for her and a lot of my inspo for her was kpop so I went with naming her Mina after a member of Twice

Sometimes when I need a more fantasy name like Elodie (fate unwritten mc) or Nayel (andromeda six mc) I’ll search “fantasy names” or “girl fantasy names” on Pinterest!

And sometimes I’m no thoughts head empty and don’t feel like looking up a name and will just pick from default options authors include to choose from like Payton & Xavier (the spirited: origins mcs) lol
