I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

Cough Syrup would’ve been so much more meaningful if it were a Kurt solo and alternating between him singing that and Karofsky, would’ve been a better way to link him to it (since he already blamed himself and he had been going through very similar things to Karofsky). Bonus: I think Chris Colfer would’ve performed it better.

But if they were going to be having it be Blaine’s song (it could’ve at least been Santana), they shouldn’t have cut between the performance and what happened - it just felt wrong. If they were trying to buffer what happened, they should’ve gone about it differently.
