Bestie I am so torn!!!!! I went into this season with the intent of having ozzy as my li but now I’m attached to Lewie bc he’s so sweet but also I think Marshall (and hamish to some degree) are cute too so I’m just screwed!!!! I think this is the first season I’ve struggled to pick a li and I cannot for the life of me choose

Okay, so I know I’m super late on all things Mass Effect, but having just recently discovered it & allowed it to take over my life, I have since uncovered the following similarities between my two favorite boys, Sniper Bae and Marshal McCropTop. Please read my essay below.

1. They abandon their cop jobs to follow and aid a redhead on her mission

2. Due to the betrayal of someone they knew, they lose their squad & end up as the sole survivor with a horrific injury

By the time the crew touches down on Kor'Sel'Koo on 3/22/24, all of the messages have been sorted and provided and we pick up a new crew member: Mari, a quirky mate who is 4'6" of apparently pure enthusiasm.

The crew doesn't immediately settle down, as there are messages to read and Gilmore Gilrs to figure out.

Muzzain, the far'ly'dae one who ordered all of that Gilmore Girls merchandise, is staying temporarily in Wuunzek, a smallish city about an hour (by underground tunnel train) from Twarvu.

Wuunzek includes a variety of amenities, including Yggld Bars, the Inspired By Earth Waterpark (it's got a lazy river, a waterslide, and a wave pool), an enormous vitamin store aimed at Ly'Daesun called Yonrur, and more.

Wuunzek Population: 89% Far’Ly’Dae, 9% Erkuss, 1% Vanneer, 1% Carrek.

The process of getting the Gilmore Girls merchandise to the right place now will be... annoying because most of it actually needs to go to Twarvu. While it would normally take an hour and a half, the crew will probably take a full 24 hours to get their surreptiously.

THE PRINCE OF WALES WILL VISIT RAF CONINGSBY

Grantham, UK

Friday 18th November 2022

The Prince of Wales, Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Coningsby, will visit the base to learn about future technological innovations and open a new boxing club.

During the visit, His Royal Highness will spend time in the Air Traffic Control Centre to hear about ‘Project Marshall’, a multi-billion-pound equipment upgrade programme of air traffic control radar services across Lincolnshire. Whilst in the centre, His Royal Highness will meet staff and engage with new radar displays and control systems that have been put in place to improve efficiency and elevate data sharing.

Following this, the Prince will visit the BAE Systems Typhoon Maintenance Facility (TMF). The site, which has been open for over a decade, specialises in longer term maintenance of Typhoon jets and focuses on delivering faster turnaround times to ensure that more planes are readily available for front-line use at any given time.

When His Royal Highness is in TMF, he will meet maintenance staff and hear about the transformative technologies which are currently being explored by the Royal Air Force and BAE Systems.

The new technologies include exoskeletons and VR headsets, which will allow jet support to be carried out in a smarter and faster way. In addition, there is also technology that is used to identify any structural issues on objects such as fighter jets and drones to further increase the speed of aircraft maintenance and availability of front-line Typhoon fighter jets.

Finally, the Prince will visit and officially open the new RAF Coningsby Boxing Club. The club is situated in the heart of the RAF base and creates a central place where personnel can go to exercise and box. The new boxing club is the extension of a popular provision of boxing coaching during the pandemic. His Royal Highness will see how the new facility will benefit staff’s wellbeing as well as meet other sports teams at RAF Coningsby.

Before his departure, the Prince will carry out a short walkabout with RAF families who live locally.

England and Japan intend to merge Tempest and F-X fighter programs

England and Japan are close to an agreement to merge their next-generation Tempest and F-X fighter programs, with the two countries seeking an agreement on a new joint project by the end of the year.

It would be the first time that Japan would seek a non-American partner for a large military program and the first major collaboration between Tokyo and London, going beyond expectations when industrial negotiations began five years ago, three sources told Reuters.

"This would be an egalitarian partnership between Japan and England," said one of the sources with knowledge of the plan. It will cost tens of billions of dollars, he added.

The effort to combine the Japanese F-X program, led by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), with the British Tempest, managed by BAE Systems PLC, until December had not been previously reported.

The sources asked to remain anonymous because they are not allowed to talk to the media.

"The main goal is to build a common jet, which can have small design differences for each country," said another of the sources.

England could handle exports in Europe, while Japan would take care of the Asian market, said another of the three sources.

The collaboration would spread development costs, while exports would increase production batches and reduce the price per plane, helping the two countries to stretch their defense budgets.

BAE Tempest.

This would represent a deepening of security ties between the two close allies of the United States. London is assuming a larger military role in Asia under a strategic "tilt" towards the Indo-Pacific, and Tokyo is expanding defense cooperation beyond Washington.

Japan's policy, pressured by the late former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to strengthen Tokyo's hand against neighboring China, took on a new urgency after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which Moscow describes as a "special operation".

The move to a European partner occurs as Japan's defense spending increases, with the budget expected to double in the next decade, as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida follows Abe's national security agenda and fulfills an electoral promise to "substantially" increase military spending.

"We would like to decide how we can cooperate by the end of this year and we are considering several possibilities," said the Japanese Ministry of Defense.

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defense did not make immediate comments. The country's head of the air force, RAF Chief Marshal Mike Wigston, said at a conference on Thursday that England is "exploring partnership opportunities and sharing our technological experience with a number of international partners, including Japan and Italy".

England plans to give an update on Tempest at next week's Farnborough Airshow, another source said, without giving details.

OPENING TO EUROPE

Japan's partnership with England is a chance for BAE and other European Tempest companies, such as Rolls-Royce, missile manufacturer MBDA and Italian defense group Leonardo to explore a growing market long dominated by U.S. companies.

Efforts to merge fighter projects follow the deepening of cooperation between the United Kingdom and Japan in recent years, from the JNAAM (Joint New Air-to-Air Missile) missile project to the work of sensors and an agreement to develop an engine demonstrator.

"You can see the direction of the trip," said Douglas Barrie, senior member of the military aerospace sector of the IISS think-tank.

It's been more than 20 years since MHI, the manufacturer of World War II Zero fighter, and the American defense group Lockheed Martin built Japan's F-2 fighter, a short-winged derivative of the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Lockheed, which later developed the F-35 stealth aircraft, was expected to help MHI build the F-X, a replacement for the F-2, which Japan wants to deploy in the 2030s to combat China's advanced fighter jets.

Japan chose to purchase the F-35 from Lockheed Martin.

The cost of the F-X development program is estimated by employees of the Japanese Ministry of Defense at about $40 billion, of which $700 million was allocated this year, making it a profitable proposal for Japanese companies that lost when Tokyo bought the American kit, including the F-35.

The Tempest project, led by BAE, to replace the European combat jet Typhoon has a government budget of 2 billion pounds (US$ 2.38 billion) by 2025, when full development is expected to begin.

It is one of the two European initiatives for the next generation of air power alongside the Future Franco-German-Spanish Air System (FCAS), currently jammed in divisions between partners Airbus and Dassault Aviation.

Lockheed, in 2018, had proposed to use a mixed fuselage of F-22 Raptor and F-35 for the F-X, but this interim partnership ended this year because U.S. control over sensitive technology meant that Washington could say when and how Japan maintained and updated its planes, the sources said.

A Lockheed spokesman said that questions about the program should be forwarded to the Japanese government.

For Japanese companies, which were banned from exporting weapons abroad until 2014, the partnership is a chance to access foreign markets and European technology with potentially fewer restrictions than those imposed by Washington.

Tempest "is a flexible construction that lends itself to multiple forms of cooperation," said defense analyst Francis Tusa.

The last fighter manufactured in Japan was the F-2, in partnership with Lockheed Martin.

Hunting will still need some U.S. components, such as communications and data links, to ensure interoperability with U.S. forces.

As the negotiations in Tokyo and London progress, it is still unclear what role, if any, the Swedish and Italian governments will play in the new project after agreeing to collaborate on Tempest.
