The greatest boy band from the 90's you've probably never heard of but really should:
Take That
If you grew up in the 90's or consider yourself a 90's kid and are a fan of the boy/girl groups of that decade such as the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, The Spice Girls, etc, I highly recommend you delve into the rabbit hole that is this UK based musical group who have had the most success in Europe but are relatively unknown in America. The most famous members of the group being Robbie Williams, who has had some exposure in America with his solo career with hits such as "Angels" and "Rock DJ" and Gary Barlow who was the head judge on The X Factor UK from 2011-2013 (replacing Simon Cowell) I personally only knew about Robbie in the early 2000s when I heard his songs "Rock DJ" in the movie 'Sweet November' which starred Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron and his duet with Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue called "Kids". But then on one magical day I happened upon this music video for a song called "Back for Good" that was in the related section for Robbie's songs on Youtube. I noticed the thumbnail was of a blonde man I had never seen before and thought to myself, that's not Robbie, who is that?? Feeling intrigued, I clicked on the video and automatically fell in love. With ALL OF THEM. All five of those men captivated my attention. Their vocals were beautifully unique, their dance skills were on fire, and their bubbly cute personalities won me over right from the start that I had to watch all the videos, concert clips, interviews and documentaries I could find. Their overall history is a fascinating journey starting in dance/gay clubs in 1990 to their temporary break up in 1996 following the departure of Robbie who soared as a solo artist and their reunion in 2005, minus Robbie, only to be fully reunited with him in 2011 and onward to a newly announced tour in Europe this summer 2023 with hints of Robbie possibly joining the remaining three members Gary, Mark and Howard (Jason has notably chosen to stay out of the spotlight since last performing with the group at the Olympics in 2012) These men just continue to Shine and Progress as more time passes..
Listed below are some videos that will definitely pique any music lovers interest.
