Some day I want to see a show that does the “no filler episodes” thing from the opposite direction. Just a whole season worth of low-stakes character pieces that seem to move the overall story absolutely nowhere, then episode 26 pulls all the triggers at once and this massive Rube Goldberg machine of a plot the show’s been quietly setting up in the background the whole time hits you like a truck.

It’s been a few years since I’ve participated in this challenge but when I saw Chloe.z.art’s prompt list on Instagram and I was immediately intrigued. The first prompt is ancient Egyptian mermaid and here is my offering!

I was inspired by a lot of Egyptian art and really wanted to incorporate some of the stylistic elements and lotus themes and referencing the fashion and wigs and ah it was so fun.

There’s old fandom discourse that says somewhere out there is a callout post from before the NSFW ban. That post you just reblogged, the discourse goes, is included in that callout.

Just do me a favor. If you find more of those posts, and plan on reblogging them, watch out for a blogger named a//ll//en-m//ar//ks. He’s called out more than a few people to collect as much clout as he can, and your ignorance as to what those posts are won’t protect you.

(In general, I'm working on a series of characters from Fate/zero, but I don't know when I'll finish it, and I don't think it's right not to show this one.

I really put my heart and soul into it and even made "easter eggs".

I think it's one of the biggest works I've done this year, because I don't like draw interiors on background.)

all these marriage r/relationship_advice posts involve people my age. how are you even finding time for marriage. i'm at the gocey store

the fact that kobolds seem to be this more "animalistic" race, with kuro talking in broken language and like improper grammar. this, coupled with the fact that he seems unaware of the fact that he's being exploited by mick, makes kobolds appear to be less intelligent than other races.

but we actually find out that the simple speech patterns are in fact due to common being kuro's second language. and in a scene where kabru talks to kuro in his native language, it's actually kabru with the simple speech patterns.

we even learn that kuro seems to actually have a much better understanding of his situation with mick than we first imagine. merely wanting to stay with them so they can have someone who they can feel relaxed around.

this, coupled with a bunch of other things, really makes dungeon meshi stand out from other fantasy media. there are no "dumb" or "evil" races, they're all just people.
