Moonview Highway is one of the most beautiful and chaotic tracks Mario Kart has to offer, and it's no different in Super Mario Spikers! The constant traffic can really limit the space you have to move, and when bomb cars are added to the equation, good luck getting around!

I actually had this one done for a few weeks, but the colors just felt so boring and flat and I didn't know how to make it better, so it's been sitting on the backburner for awhile. Today I decided to try adding some lighting, and the rest is history.

Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! Bowser has had at least one racetrack in every Mario Kart since the beginning and it has always been themed around one of his many, many, many castles… until Mario Kart 7. He still had a Bowser Castle track but for the 3DS installment, the king of the koopas decided to expand his holdings with a futuristic dystopian city. Quite the leap but I’m not complaining. Neo Bowser City is easily my favorite course in Mario Kart 7. It’s just so much fun to speed down the rain soaked streets of a city populated by neon tinged skyscrapers laden with Bowser propaganda. Then, they brought it back for Mario Kart 8’s DLC with increased graphical fidelity and an anti-gravity segment and it's still so much fun. Frankly, there isn’t much more to say than that. It’s one course in a racing game after all. However, that doesn’t make Neo Bowser City any less wonderful with its amazing atmosphere, thrilling track layout and assistance in vicariously living out my Akira and Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds inspired fantasies (though with a lack of ultra violence and card games).

Well they do have a Wii! I like to think they probably only have the one remote though, so they take turns playing Mario Kart Wii. Fynn's not good, but I imagine Nauno is even worse, like can't even comprehend motion controls bad.

I imagine finding games you can play with your illiterate friend with practically no ability to retain useful information is hard. Maybe they try and play Go Fish sometimes, or UNO or something.

Wii rainbow road - nostalgic banger, made easier in this game tho

3DS rainbow road - fucking beautiful, was my number 1 but wii just had a special place in my heart

Big blue - a masterpiece

Mount wario - another masterpiece

Coconut mall - let down by its remakes but still a classic

Maple treeway - pumpkin spice latte

Waluigi stadium - it’s fucking waluigi stadium

Daisy circuit - a beautiful and classic course

Sunshine airport - the star cup in 8 is just the best cup

DK’s snowboard cross - prefer Wii’s but I still love it nonetheless

Waluigi pinball - DS had me in a chokehold

Daisy cruiser - mesmerising

Squeaky clean spirit - probably the best new course out the whole pack

Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! Yeah, I’ve been on a bit of a mushroom kick this week. Video games too and when one thinks of mushrooms and videogames, Nintendo’s golden boy, Mario, should be just around the corner…in his go-kart since it's time for another Mario Kart track. Specifically, Toad’s Factory from Mario Kart Wii. Yep, Toad had a factory. One with conveyor belts, gears, industrial presses,  platforms held by shipping cranes, crates, grates, sirens, bulldozers, mudpits and one heck of big band backing track scoring the three lap mad dash. Such an awesome concept and execution for a track It’s a darn shame it hasn’t come back since its original debut but hey, there are still seven more slots available in the Booster Course Pack. Who knows? Maybe this #wonderful OSHA nightmare will come around again. I’ll certainly be happy even if the people working under Toad’s capitalistic machinations probably won’t be.
