if we’re looking from a realistic point of view, the most popular dialovers character is undoubtedly ayato and not only because of the anime, he got a huge impact even outside his own franchise. tons of pics and videos of him are everywhere, he’s always the only diaboy in those “most handsome anime guys” tops and the most important part, i remember this post and i met more people talking about their resemblance. notice how satoi uses ayato’s face when making poster boys, whose purpose is appealing to the audience. this isn’t even a joke anymore, ayato is the main boy standard, his visuals are the most appealing.

it’s so sad tho how this fandom discredits him so much, from belittling his trauma to daring to say someone else deserved to be the official lover. bffr honey, you can’t outshine the shiner💋 ayato’s made to be the face of dialovers, his design got that special thing nobody else does. anyway, love your blog, admin! yui, ayato and laito stans are the goat!❤️‍🔥

As you mentioned, Ayato is unquestionably the most popular character, as well as the one with the greatest impact. He's not only everywhere on the internet, but he's also involved in a lot of crossovers, and he is the face of DL but also Rejet's symbol: meeting Lindo from DwD in Rejestic Brothers, being spotted by the Erosion boys in a Carnelian Blood CD drama, taking pictures with Atom from Marginal4, and so on.

As for his looks, I believe we can all agree that Satoi and other artists (4th and 6th pictures) were inspired by Ayato when creating other poster boys, which is understandable given that Ayato's visuals are designed to be the most appealing. From my point of view, Laito is the most good-looking Diaboy but Ayato is the most attractive/charming one since he got that appeal that can’t be matched, basically je ne sais quoi.

Ayato is most likely considered the blueprint but everyone is free to have their own opinion. I have nothing against people who express themselves, but if they start hating on characters and their stans, then their opinion is no longer valid.
