I discovered idolmas sidem a few months ago through the 3d mvs, and I've been obsessed with Cafe Parade ever since, but since I speak no Japanese and don't understand how idolmaster even works I don't know how to start getting into it lol
Do you have any tips or links to learn more about them??
Thanks for writing in. I think this is actually the first positive ask I've ever gotten on this blog lol.
Getting into The Idolmaster is pretty easy once you get the ball rolling. It's a matter of browsing around, finding your favorite idol/idol unit, then supporting them in various ways like listening to their music, buying merchandise of them, etc. That's basically what it means to be a Producer outside the games. With SideM, I consider myself not just a general Cafe Parade P, but also specifically a Asselin and SakiP. I WISH I could direct you towards a game for SideM, but sadly they're all gone as you probably know.
Continuing the trend of not very useful....I actually engage with the material in Japanese, so I actually don't know many English resources other than the wiki. I personally have been thinking of transcribing and translating some of the SideM and Cinderella Girls drama tracks that appear on some of the CDs I own, but I don't know if that's already been done or not.
Cafe Parade's music is on Spotify (minus the drama tracks) under their artist name, but you can also find some early solo songs by looking for the SideM Original Pieces line of CDs.
That's all I can think of for now, but I might update this with more information once I really wake up (and my power comes back on lol). Sorry if I wasn't helpful, but I'm glad to see another Cafe Parade fan out there.
