favourite reader's note i've found in a second-hand book... scene which is obviously euphemistic with 'Are they Sex?' in the margins
(translation: I soon found that I was less of a child than I thought. My heart opened up to a thousand sensations of pleasure that I had never dreamed of. A sweet warmth flooded through my veins. I fell into a sort of transport, which for a short while robbed me of the freedom to speak and could be expressed only through my eyes)
