Oooh, this one's a little more difficult since I haven't thought about it much, and they don't have many interactions. Lessee...

Right off the bat, what stands out to me is Mahiru's sunny disposition in contrast to Jeje's reclusive one. Mahiru's a go getter, but over the course of canon, he's also become far more cognizant of the needs others might have. Jeje is the type of person where he does best, I think, with someone who will be patient and understanding of his limits and needs, but also push push push instead of letting him pull away.

I also think that Jeje being a fair bit more serious minded than the majority of his siblings works in favor of this relationship. Mahiru is young and has a lot to learn, but he's the type of young where he's eager to listen and will soak up lessons like a sponge. Jeje would feel this deep warmth in his chest every time Mahiru runs to show him something he's completed by following Jeje's instructions. It's very cute! A sort of big brother, little brother vibe.

At the same time, Mahiru's accepting nature and more easy going, love of simplicity is very suited to Jeje as well. He's the type to prefer to stay in rather than go out when it comes to leisure time. He's also a veritable ladder, so bonus points for being able to reach things Mahiru can't? In exchange, Mahiru helps Jeje learn to cook! It is... Very slow going xD I can easily imagine these two sharing the same couch and doing their own thing while still enjoying each other's company, as well. A nice, relaxed atmosphere.

There's some awkwardness with the whole... Tooru was technically Jeje's superior for a little while situation, BUT. There isn't the heavy trauma of having caused the death of Mahiru's mom. Trade off?? lmao
