☯︎ WangXian - Yin and Yang ☯︎
Opposite concepts were a very common theme on my Art courses at the University. Curiously, this reminded me of Yin and Yang, part of the Chinese philosophy.
Later, I realized that WangXian is like Yin and Yang. Two different personalities, but they are similar in some ways.

Conceptos opuestos era un tema muy común en mis cursos de Arte en la Universidad. Curiosamente, esto me recordó al Yin y Yang, parte de la filosofía china.

WIP: Of Coasts and Courtships
Character Intro: Nemaia Nevarro (Prequel to Of Yarrow and Daffodils)
Name: Nemaia Ellison Nevarro
Nicknames: Maia or Mai
Title: Lady - her father is the Marquess of the Veridian Coast - 1/3 of the ruling aristocracy along with the patriarchs of House Oberlin and House Yarrow - she will one day inherit the title and estate.
30 years old - she/her - demiromantic
Physical Description: While her sister looks passably human, Nemaia inherited all the nymph traits from her mother. A stony gray complexion with white and black flecks. Full sclera black eyes, though hers are smaller and less distinct than a full-blooded nymph.
There is no hiding what she is, but she never wanted to. She has an imposing appearance, but she embraces it, has learned to cherish it. It’s a piece of who she is and she wouldn’t change that for the world.
Personality/Background: Nemaia is extremely perceptive and knows how to control a conversation. She’s perfected the art of keeping the attention off herself and on someone else. She listens to others stories, while keeping hers close to her chest. Many people underestimate her because they don’t know her, nor do they bother to. She’s the stone hearted heiress. She feels nothing and she let’s the world believe that.
Notes:
Her mother is a maiden nymph from the Endless Peaks, her human father fell in love with her and chose to marry her despite the uproar it caused in society.
A brilliant chess player - she loves to challenge people to a game to learn more about them.
She loves food, but even more so when it’s doused in sugar.
Her favorite book genre is erotica - because normally, there are no feelings attached and she believes that’s a more accurate depiction of real-life relationships.
Cares deeply for the Veridian Coast and its people. She sees that the system currently running is broken, but until she takes the mantle, the power to change things is just beyond her reach. She does what little she can in the meantime.
Prone to panic attacks and anxiety. She has no idea what she’s doing half the time and she hopes no one can tell.
Is currently in the midst of a game of courtship - she has no interest in finding a partner. Romantic love doesn’t exist as far as she’s concerned. But she plays anyway for her family’s sake.

Cuando no dibujo me pongo a jugar genshin, ver videos de la magalyn o a hablar con mi pareja xD
Hmm tutorial no sé jaksdja solo pinto como me salga, aunque recientemente conocí otro truco que no sabía,, que era de pintar primero en escala de grises, luego ponerle una capa de multiplicar o superponer(¿ y después poner color encima.

My first Mo Dao Zu Shi fanart.
(At least they don't have as much details as the Honkai characters XD)
I was ashamed doing this XD
Everything started because one of my favorite Youtubers (Magalyn) became "obsessed" with it.
Suddenly, I found a link (WARNING: Story not suitable for children under 18) and I decided to take a look at the manhua…
There was no going back! I read about 238 chapters in 2-3 days.
I don't find stories like this so often XD
PS: How do I explain to my mom that I like this "story of blood, death and destruction with funny Chinese gays"? XD

WIP: Of Coasts and Courtships
Character Intro: Magalyn Nevarro
Name: Magalyn Venora Nevarro
Nicknames: Maggie
Title: Lady - her father is the Marquess of the Veridian Coast - 1/3 of the ruling aristocracy along with the patriarchs of House Oberlin and House Yarrow.
15 years old - she/her - bisexual
Physical Description: Magalyn takes strongly after her human pa and is passably human by society standards. She is pleasantly plump just like her pa. She has a warm brown complexion, freckled skin, and golden amber eyes. Her dark hair is curly and always a mess regardless of anyone’s attempts to tame the curls.
The only noticeably nymph trait she inherited from her mother is her sharpened canines, that she likes to show off and watch the color drain from their face. Always covered in paint — hands, face, her hair. It’s everywhere.
Personality/Background: Despite being fifteen years younger, Nemaia and Magalyn are exceptionally close and would do anything for each other. She tends to be a voice of reason for her sister, albeit in a very sarcastic way.
Nemaia has learned the art of subtlety in her age, while Magalyn much prefers a more direct course of action. She will call people out, stare at people openly with a shit-eating grin, and speak her mind far more often than her sister. She likes to say the openness of her family has allowed her to develop such a confident and blunt nature. She isn’t afraid to say anything because her parents taught her to speak out.
She is very observant and tends to notice things others overlook.

She lost the most recent one when Theus not only last longer than five minutes, but was also invited to stay over the winter season. She didn’t speak to Nemaia for one WHOLE hour.
Has more romantic experience than Nemaia. She wears it like a badge of honor.

Character Intro: Lyle Oberlin
Name: Lyle Everett Oberlin
Nicknames: None
Title: Lord - his father is the Marquess of the Veridian Coast - 1/3 of the ruling aristocracy along with the patriarchs of House Nevarro and House Yarrow. The second-born son.
36 years old - he/him - homosexual
Physical Description: Lyle looks a lot like his father, all sharp cheekbones and foxlike features. He has wavy auburn hair that he wears longer around the cut of his jaw. Unlike his father, who has blue eyes reminiscent of the ice encasing his heart, Lyle’s are a deep brown like the color of freshly tilled soil. He has a sturdy build, though a bit on the shorter side. He prefers pastels and lighter colors like spring green and baby blue.
Personality/Background: Lyle has a sharp quip or snotty aside for anything. Nemaia likes to say he has a tendency of popping up when he isn’t wanted and Lyle would say he’s always wanted anywhere he goes. He likes to watch people squirm and has perfected the game into an art.
As a 2nd son, he will never inherit the mantle of House Oberlin, but he more than makes up for it by spending his parents’ money on luxurious campaigns across the continent. His most recent trip has lasted five years with very limited correspondence with his family. He is far from ready to settle down, more so because he knows the lifestyle his parents want for him and the one he wants for himself are quite different.

Human
One of seven children, one of three boys. He is closest with his younger brother Edmund (18) and his younger sister Brigitte (16)
Loves to learn and experience new cultures. When the option came to take a tour across the continent when he turned twenty, he took it and never looked back.
He and Nemaia are a lot more alike than either wants to admit, both use their words as a weapon and both keep their own stories close to their chests. If it was ever pointed out to them, they’d vehemently deny the accusations.
Loves children, though he’d never let on. He’s like that dad when shown a kitten pretends he absolutely hates it until one day you walk in on the two snuggling on the recliner.

Physical Description: Black skin and a shock of white hair worn long to mid-back. He normally wears it in fancy updos with hair clips or intricate braids. His eyes are the color of liquid gold. He has a charming and genuine smile. His family is in textiles and clothing, so he likes to make sure he looks good at all times. After all, who would buy from someone who doesn’t dress well?
Personality/Background: Theus is a hopeless romantic. He’s come to the Veridian Coast, believing winning the heart of Lady Nemaia Nevarro is his destiny. He is genuine and kind, if not a little oblivious. He doesn’t always consider the feelings others when he makes decisions, often lost in his own romantic fantasies.
He is a creative spirit and loves to create. He is a younger elf still obsessed with the threads of fate and the art of prophecy - a tradition that has since fallen out of vogue for others living in Loragio.
Notes:
Loves jewelry making. He does it as a side hobby and makes things for the people he cares for.
His mum, Maive Maistel, owns and runs a series of drapers shops, haberdasheries and manages a textile trade across the continent. It used to belong to his father Darwin, but he passed when Theus was young. It’s been him and his mum ever since.
Loves love. He falls hard and fast, often for people he’s just met.
A bit of people pleaser, but only surface level. He still has some growing up to do when it comes to creating meaningful relationships with people.
