alright so, I made the absolutely WRONG decision to update my game (the last time I had updated was sometime in october) and for my troubles now Dominic Baxter-Steele and Aiden Cortes both have the face melting issue, and even my backed up version of them are corrupted. This was most likely caused by the now very out of date lip slider originally from teanmoon. I've tried every possible fix you can think of, and taken out cc entirely and the issue still stands. :(

Basically I'm going to have to recreate both of them to the best of my abilities 😔 The good news is, they are both kids and have barely been seen. However I am now looking at every single sim in the simblr to make sure they are the only two affected by it. So if anyone looks a little different going forward it's because this 2,000$ game is a piece of shit.

No post today because i've been in mad reading form so i thought I'd share with the class the stories I've been losing my mind to this past week :)

-Caught up on @bridgeportbritt 's Simdonian Royals and was treated with so much iNTRIGUE OOOO -Read all of @lynzishell 's Star Sign Legacy and cried my little eyes out no less than 3 times :') - Read thru most of @rebouks 's little legacy backlog which I adore, and yesterday I spent approx. 7 ish hours absolutely losing my mind starting Somnium. I'm very late to the party and shall continue losing my mind to it later today 🎉💃🏽

If you've not read any of these (tbf it looks like i'm very late to the party on all of them lol) Go forth! It's a fabulous time :D

hiatus time babey

Wow! The end of Sorella's teen years are finally here! In October 2021 I decided to take a break from the main Cortes Legacy and do a side story that I thought would only take me a month to finish. Anyway I finished that in March of 2023, and in the interim I've had Sorella's teen story on my mind. I''m glad to finish it!!

SO WHAT'S NEXT!?

Well first off, I want to take a bit of a break. Recharge the simblring batteries. So my intention is to take the rest of January off :) However in that time I will be doing a few things simblr adjacent here are my hopes:

Update the Family Trees! this is a fun activity for me so I should get this done on an off day :)

Resume work on my legacy map. I started painting one earlier this year, and stopped when a new world was announced. I want a good visual map for the way my sims 4 worlds are set up in me head!!

Character Pages. Since my legacy is turning 7 years old (holy shit) next year, it's a bit long. And I'd love to have generation specific character pages so new people don't have to start from the beginning. There's a lot of lore.

Probably Release Some Poses! I have 200 odd poses I made for Sorella's teenage years, and I know there are some useful ones. I'll try to sift thru them soon and package a few accordingly :3

I have an idea for another 'side story' that I'd like to do. Which will probably be what I come back with, and then it's back to following Sorella. She's in the city, she's doing what she loves, and it should be a BLAST! And there are more musicals she is destined to be in 👀

And on a kinda sappy note, for a long time this side blog has been very much the forgotten about little sister to my main. I'm really glad that between Princess and Me, and the writing group I'm in now- there's some serious love for this silly little story I run ;__; Thank u sm for that.

hi there, just today i pulled all the pictures for the two ~spicey~ scenes in princess and me and am going to reupload them to pillowfort (rip newtumbl 😔)

the reuploading will be a different day tho because uploading photos to pillowfort is actually the biggest pain in the ass lol.

OK! I hope you all enjoyed the first ~official~ chapter of the Steele Legacy :3 I know I sure did. I have a few other ideas for 'chapters' and we'll see where I go with it. But overall it's nice to kinda just let myself do what I want lol. I know I always could but sometimes I just need to give myself permission sTILL lmao.

Anyway, no posts for the rest of February, however I will be returning in March back to Sorella and the main Cortes Legacy :D Hope you're ready for that! I'm very excited to get back into it :3

i spent approx. 4 hours this morning trying to get all the cc for a couple builds into my game only to 1. not even acquire the cc for the more important build (an airport) and 2. not even like the second build (a hotel).....

i spent 20 minutes editing an airport i already had dl in my library and i didn't even need a hotel anytime soon... i might just post cute pictures of raina and cordy 2moro sims 4 and i are fighting rn

I would say start with my little side story I did the last couple of years, The Princess & Me which is a loose adaptation of The Prince & Me (2004) starring Julia Stiles. I'm really proud of it. 🥰

what's next!?

Oh hey! So I finally finished my little simblr story I had planned! I started Princess & Me in 2021 simply b/c I had been drawing cordy in the pose on the poster- and it just snowballed from there. (If you didn't know, I was vaguely adapting the 2004 film starring Julia Stiles. And I do mean vaguely.)

I also thought that I would do this entire story in 1 month. lol. I'm glad I took my time with it, because I think it's much better for it :3

so! what is next??

I'll be returning to my Cortes Legacy with my Gen. 4 heir, Sorella. If you would like to catch up with the main legacy I have some starting points listed here But all that you would really need to catch up on is the tag Gen 3.4 As that is Sorella's childhood. Could be helpful! Bonus: Teenage Cordy and Co. are my side characters! (I almost always have a side story so i can hop into a different household if I need a refresher)

Edit from 1 month later: I'll be posting a few supplemental things in the next few days, the family trees for the main families in the legacy (including an updated one for the steeles :3 ) as well as an updated legacy map. I'm painting that in clip studio paint and it's taking a while so odds are there will be a small hiatus. Esp since the game is like a week from getting an update that ruins it lol.
