🎮 VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER — what are three of your oc’s favorite hobbies?

she's a sucker for wood carving (and working, by extension), puzzles, and anything to do with textiles, in particular screen printing. she doesn't do it as much, particularly the more hands on stuff, but give her a puzzle and she's distracted for ages.

🎶 MUSICAL NOTES — what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?

as for a genre, her regular listening does fall into the very broad category of 'rock', but she's fine with almost anything. doesn't necessarily have a preference, because it's dependent on her mood and why she's listening. if it's to like listen to other local bands and/or competition, then it's more of a focus on what they do, not just the music. if it's for her own leisure and pleasure, it's probably just the radio playing in the background. constantly has some form of music on though, half-jokingly but kind of seriously like a soundtrack to her life following her through even just doing the dishes.

💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

jen is kind of a conspiracy nut, like the wormhole reading late at night that sucks her in. worked hard to reduce her stutter, insofar that like, those she met in high school aren't even aware she has one. has a fear of forests, refuses to consider them.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY WITH MOTHER, FATHER, SON AND DAUGHTER — how many people are in your oc’s immediate family? how many people are in your oc’s extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family, or do they have a found family?

yeah she's got her parents who are like. off doing their own thing. her dad's parents basically raised her, but by the time of infamous her grandma has passed. her maternal grandparents don't talk to her, has about four aunts on her mum's side with a spattering of cousins she doesn't know the names of. on her dad's side, has an uncle who has like. a kid that jen is vaguely aware of. but is also convinced the uncle is paying child support for at least twelve kids, whose to say. she's close with her granddad (and grandma before she passed), but definitely the home is in the friends... even if it is a lil fractured underneath.

okay like considering that dragons and griffons are rly common, ganieda is like fascinated by the simple house cat. they're so odd, but also like found everywhere. obsessed with picking them up, despite whatever may happen. otherwise, warclaws probably. something about the mist...

💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc’s negative traits?

reactive, unreliable, uncooperative. to start with lol, but mostly due to her kind of primary focus within the priory and kind of ignoring literally everyone for the sake of her work, its got her a lot of association with being an all around negative person, not someone many want to work with.

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

the lil carved fern hound around her neck. with no possible emotional attachment there to anything else of course but it is definitely only the fern hound. yknow.

🖤 BLACK HEART — has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone’s heart and/or broken someone’s trust?

okay i mean to be fair if she fights to kill, she fights to kill. very rarely does it end up with simply wounding. especially as in her line of work prior to being thrown around with all the dragon god war things, like sometimes she had to make the first move. sometimes, she removed a thug on the road who pissed her off enough. sometimes, she took out the bandits first. and then sometimes she's been pissed off in a bar hard enough to break a glass against someone's face without quite knowing her own strength.

it's all perspective on breaking a heart. but she definitely has.

😞 DISAPPOINTED FACE — does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

if ganieda has attracted anyone, it's not really been picked up by her. granted, most people tend to also give her a wide berth, in the sort of observation way. pretty flower perception way. there have been times where ganieda has been aware, and acted on that attraction, but she definitely is very aware that the vibes she gives off are rancid. the layer of filth as she's bog diving probably doesn't help.

👊 PUNCH - are they quick to violence?

both of them, yes <3 ameht'ana will claw ur face, while tova will prefer to knock you out the min you turn your back

👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?

tova comes from a humble family of rangers in skyrim, just her and her parents, no other siblings. after tova starts dabbling with conjuration magics at a young age (resurrected her wolf companion, Rafe), her parents disown her and she is kicked out. she hasn't had a relationship with them since.

im not sure nocturnal shrikes have families in a traditional sense, but whatever flock ameht'ana used to keep with in the evergloam im sure they have no interest in talking to her anymore

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

tova's inspiration really is just necromancer barbie. this image i have it in her board still

🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?

The only thing of emotional value Chris has left, from their time at the two foster homes they were living at, is a little notebook they had filled with food and recipes that they had prepared with said families. If their foster parents at the time allowed it, they would cook with them, and note down what they did for 'later use'. They still go through the notebook sometimes and revisit those dishes, and they would be heartbroken if it was damaged or lost.

Rashmi still has some of her old toys and drawings/creative projects she did as a kid, though most things she and her brother Ranveer donated to other kids that have more use for it now. The toys she has kept to herself are wooden toys her now passed father Aditya has made for her, a small sunspear and many animals from the desert. Her most cherished one was a toy of a 'monster' they'd thought of together when she was small, a jumbled mix of a griffon, a choya and a sand eel. She wouldn’t forgive herself if she lost that...

Considering sylvari don't really have a childhood I'm gonna take an object from Rhiannín's first few months as a fresh sapling. It's her earring, a gift she received from a lovely elderly human woman in Divinity's Reach. Rhiannín had stumbled into her while running errands, and helped her bring them home, where she found out the old lady used to be a jeweler. She was invited to stay for lunch, then for dinner, and while they were cooking and talking together, the old lady was telling her stories of how she met her wife and their adventures together. A few weeks later, Rhiannín received a lovely letter with thanks for the lovely evening and earrings. She wears one earring in her ear, the other is safely kept in a little jewelry box until she finally gets to pierce her other ear. lol She, too, would be very depressed about losing those earrings and the letter.

🍁 MAPLE LEAF - what is their favourite season? why?

Chris enjoys summer the most, cause it's warm and they get to bring the pups to a lake for a little swim and not worry abt them catching a cold.

Rashmi enjoys the desert winter, because it rains more, making the desert bloom. :)

Rhiannín loves autumn, when the trees all turn different hues of red, orange and yellow. And so many leaf piles to jump into. <3333

🔪 KNIFE - how do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? do they put themselves at blame?

All three obviously get very worried, they’re all kind of mother hens when it comes to this, trying to help their loved one patch up and rest. Rashmi the most honestly, she’s the one that absolutely will not argue about this. ☠️ She and Rhiannín are also the two of the three to feel guilty about their loved one getting hurt regardless if they were there or not to maybe prevent it, but both wouldn’t say it out loud to not worry their loved one.

Chris is the most calm (on the outside LOL) out of them, they’d feel guilty if they were present when it happened, but other than that they just hope Stella does not leave that bed and act like its nothing as soon as they leave the room. 🚶‍♂️ It’s like “could you please stay in be- oh you’re on your feet and want to get out. well how convenient that im blocking the entire door so u cant leave. eat ur soup pretty please. :)”

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Rashmi picked up sewing from her best friend Yasmeen, when the two used to sew and alter their own clothes as teen girls. :) She then taught it to her brother Ranveer, so they both could fix the family’s shirt holes. 😭

Chris always keeps treats and bandaids on hand. Literally all of their jackets contain both of the two. Also they made Stella a noodle necklace made of ramen once as a birthday gift, mostly as a joke. 🍜

Rhiannín used to sing and dance at the constellation shelter in the grove frequently, before she left for Maguuma, and she had a favorite dress for it. She still carries it with her, but she hasn’t worn it since... perhaps sometime!

💋— What are their kisses like?

She hasn't kissed much in her life (she can count the people on one hand), but when she did, it always started slow and quite chaste, very shy and hesitant, considering her Jedi upbringing and them being (officially) against any sort of affection like that. However she does quickly get into it, being bolder with each kiss, but in general staying rather soft.

(also deepy amusing to me that you chose bahash for this ask as well, as he literally. was her first kiss à la 'wym u never kissed before?' 'the jedi made themselves quite clear about it. i didnt.' 'would... you like to be? kissed i mean' and there we go LOL)

☔️— What are they like when they’re emotional? How quickly do they recover?

You can literally see the storm behind her eyes when she's angry, seething like a cooking teapot. Most times she manages to stay this way, quiet and 'collected' but absolutely furious, though it doesn't take much to make her burst and lash out.

💧— Random angst headcanon

She's going to save a little child and take them in, and said child looks very similar to her brother that died in her arms. <3 hihi

🧡— How do they say thank you/show appreciation?

With romantic intentions in mind, he very much is vrupet's kid and knows how to pick his gifts for the right 'thank you', all intentions and meanings of the gift very cleverly thought out. That said, he IS a spymaster after all, so he knows what response would be best suited for the person he's trying to impress.

💖— Are they a showy partner? Do they make grand gestures of love or try to be subtle?

He, personally, is rather private and subtle when it comes to showing affection to the public - he as Vrupet's spymaster knows how much that can betray someone and their intentions. Though if his partner expressed they like being showy and receiving bigger gestures, he absolutely would indulge them no questions asked.

He cooks! It's something his father taught him and something he keeps improving on the side, when he manages to find time. He always cooks for the girls and Vrupet, and rylen when he's there too <3

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

A lot of her stronger emotions that border on intense anxiety, guilt and anger. Surviving Vault 11 left her with going through the motions and almost not wanting to acknowledge what happened, and those strong feelings manifest in an almost 'no man left behind' attitude. Eve has those feelings push her into risking her own livelihood for someone else, whilst also feeling like she's out of body watching herself like why.

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

Very quiet, and for quite some time after the Vault, didn't speak much if at all, utilising sign language instead. Rolls a lot of her words together, misses first consonants, that it comes across as mumbling. Still is a bit scratchy and raw in her voice.

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Eve hand raised a night stalker she encountered several weeks after getting out of the Vault. She had been attacked by the mother, who was merely defending the area, Eve knows, but upon finding the pup felt quite a decent amount of responsibility, and took it with her (without actually knowing what the hell a night stalker really was).

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

Ganieda does have some problems with simply expressing emotions, especially the lighter, brighter ones. She spends a lot of time consumed in her studies (and swamps, and cliffs, and bogs, and rivers, etc), that when it comes to talking about anything else, it is a lot harder for her to come around to that. She’s trying though, to get the deeper feelings out, and trying to say them to the right people.

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

Equal parts loud and strong, especially when discussing her studies. Running on sentences and lots of movements, excitement scaling in her voice as she rotates whatever it is she’s showing off. Rarely though, there are times when she is quieter, eyes firmly on you, and there is still that strong voice, but barely above a whisper.

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Several journals travel with Ganieda as she does her studies. And they are full of anything from sketches of what she’s discovered, notes, locations and times, even samples of flora. But due to having a bodyguard assigned as the Priory and Vigil came up with the joint venture, her journals have been accompanied by other sketches. They range from the first entries, of funny faces with reminders of Ganieda, stop swimming in the swamps, Ganieda, watch out for the cliffs, Ganieda, eat your vegetables. But as they spent more time together, the sketches became more detailed, more personal. Far more private.
