How to make best use of some scrap leather. Quick view on making a braided belt. Step 1- make some strips of leather. Mine are roughly 1/2 inch. Step 2- slice a slot in both ends of each strip. Once again roughly 1/2 inch. Step 3- weave the strips together. Strip 1 goes through strip 2 then tail if strip 2 goes through the tail of strip 1. This locks the strips together. Step 4- repeat until you have longer strips. Step 5- braid them together.
