not all of them are headcanons, some of them are lore drops that i decided to throw in for funsies

ive had this sitting in my drafts for so long

aphmau is obsessed with dating sims (this was inspired by me discovering blooming panic)

aphmau is a compulsive doodler. to the point where she keeps a little notepad in her bag so she doesnt draw on her hands

laurence is visually impaired/going blind

travis, garroth, and katelyn have all gotten their tongues stuck to frozen lightpoles in their lifetime

dante & travis are childhood friends and travis had a crush on dante in highschool

katelyn and lucinda met in middle school and have had a weird love/hate relationship since

cadenza, kiki, and zoey live in a neighborhood close to the main cast

nana goes by [kandi/honey/sugar] not kawaii chan (there was no way i was keeping that stupid nickname. havent picked which nickname shed go by)

aphmau loves dating sims and got katelyn and nana hooked on them too

nana is actually a magicks user just like in mcd

she uses her little maids to do her chores around the house (katelyn and aphmau hate her for it)

aphmau had a fnaf hyperfixation and infected the entire group with it

aside from nana, who hates anything even remotely spooky

during halloween on mystreet, aaron has dressed up as ghostface

everyone lost their minds

aside from aphmau and katelyn, who laughed at everyone losing their minds

nana actually has an intense fear of relationships which is why she obsesses over other people's relationships because she romanticizes them in her head

garroth, despite also being of the fruity variety, is the friend who buys anything rainbow and gives it to his gay friends

laurence has been and will continuously be the main victim of this

garroth also has no idea what a lot of the flags mean despite everyone reminding him

katelyn has bpd

and he frequently wears crop tops to show it off too

travis is a lil sleepy guy. if hes not doing something important, you can and often will find him curled up snzzing

and we love him for it

aaron is the friend that carries around shit for his friends

specific stim toys for specific people (chewables and clicky keyboards for aphmau, a puzzle ball for zane, soft weighted plushies for nana)

hes got a man purse /hj

aphmau has two long, jagged, faded lines on her back that she was born with. they look like were once deep scars

but theyve never went away and only seemed to have gotten bigger??

while not a big practicer of the craft, travis seems to be really good with witchcraft and magicks

no one knows what his magicks is though because both lucinda and nana have said it feels off

aphmau used to scare zane in a weird way. which is why (aside from just hating everyone and everything) he avoided her for so long before they got close

that fear is gone though

I am a little scared to post my Laurance analysis. I am too scared it goes against a lot of characterizations of Laurance that I commonly see. So I decided to talk about it here.

An overlooked trait of Laurance is how he refuses to let things that he sees as injustices slide.

He and Garroth constantly butt heads at first in MCD, not only about Aphmau. But things about Garroth too. Laurance often over-analyses Garroth. And calls him out on holding information back and so forth. And on what happened with Zenix. Meanwhile, Garroth spouts meaningless insults when Laurance confronts him about these things. Garroth is clearly not good at being confronted on the spot like that. 

And I’d like to talk about what I’d consider Laurance’s best scenes.

The one where he defends Isabell against her abuser, and the one where he defends Lucinda against her toxic ex Ivan. Laurance is very admirable in these scenes, unafraid to step in. For how often abuse is excused within MCD and Mystreet, Laurance calls it out twice. Which is, as I said, incredibly admirable.

Like someone mentioned before; when we see Laurance letting things slide, the narrative often ignores it too. Laurance is never the only person to let things slide. He doesn’t get as upset with Garroth after the betrayal as he should’ve been, but no one is. Everyone lets it slide. After Aphmau didn’t search for him, the narrative claims she did try her best. It was written that way for convenience, rather than a purposeful flaw. Even then Laurance is framed as less forgiving because he did blame Garroth for Aaron’s death when he let his anger slide. But that was overall a pretty bad scene nonetheless.

I would have preferred if Laurance took more time forgiving Garroth for this, and called him out on his behaviors. The betrayal hurt many people, and someone needs to hold Garroth accountable. Judging from Laurance’s other actions, it would make sense if it was him. 

One of Laurance’s main traits is how stubborn and headstrong he is. Throughout MCD season 2, Laurance continuously refuses to listen to others' advice. He doesn’t listen to Vincent or Vylad, instead deciding to deal with things his way. And when he realizes he does need advice, it’s too late. And the only person to turn to is Sasha.

He is also prone to grudge-holding, he doesn’t seem to forgive people quickly. We see this in how long he takes to warm up to Zane and Gene in Mystreet especially. And how he distrusts Sasha at first despite their history together in MCD. If I remember correctly, he took longer than Garroth to start liking Aaron too. 

Laurance cares about his friends, VERY deeply. But he is no doormat. He is no sheep, rather he is like a goat. Following on his own accord. 

His care is shown by how he shuts himself away later on in mcd season 2. When it’s getting more apparent his behaviour is hurting those around him. And eventually leaves just to avoid hurting them. 

Overall, I think Laurance acts more open then he actually is. And is far more cautious and private then he lets on. But he holds the people he holds dear very close. 

Maybe in Mystreet, his caution is because of the Shadowknights. And he takes so long to forgive people because of his experiences with them.

Unpopular(?) Mystreet Opinions! Why? Because this has been in my drafts for MONTHS and I need to clean out my drafts (there are like 19 or something-)

- Laurance and the Shadow Knights (Sasha, Zenix, and Gene) deserved an exclusive episode together

- Garrance should’ve been canon

- Jess should’ve used Nana Ashida instead of Kawaii~Chan for said pink mefiwa

- Laurance and Garroth should’ve moved on from Aphmau by the middle or end of season 1

- Laurance and Cadenza deserved more screen time (please, I want the sweet older sister and the angry little brother dynamic-)

- we should’ve got more insight into some of the characters backstories (ex. Katelyn, Laurance, Cadenza, Lucinda, Nana, etc.)

- THEY SHOULD’VE KILLED EIN SOONER (OR redeemed him, he had such potential)

- Laurance shouldn’t have been abandoned as a character

- Ivy should’ve been told off in PDH for stalking Garroth

- Aaron and Aphmau shouldn’t have met in high school, they should’ve met as adults

- the series is poorly written

- Aphmau is a Mary Sue, especially early on

- Laurance and Aphmau should’ve had a more sibling relationship than a romantic one

- we should have gotten some context about Laurance and Gene’s past, instead of just implied mistreatment

- Aphmau is a boring character

- Jess and Jason were bad writers

- there should’ve been more racial diversity (Aphmau is canonically Mexican, Nana is Asian (implied to be Japanese i think?), and Teony is black but everyone else is implied to be white)

- the Shadow Knight’s should’ve kept their “demonage” (if you will) from MCD

- NOT EVERY MALE CHARACTER HAD TO BE INFATUATED WITH APHMAU (PLEASE! I am TIRED)

- Aphmau and Katelyn should’ve been step-sisters (they’re already a great duo and Katelyn’s dad is... involved with Aphmau’s mom)

AND THATS IT! 20 unpopular(?) opinions and months in writing later (I fuckin’ forgot this in my drafts-) you finally have some juicy content. Feel free to steal this idea or to fiddle with my ideas as your own (I know I’m probably not the first one to come up with some of these.)

Okay I kinda wanna ramble about my "cosmic dragon au" as I'm dubbing it.

It's technically an au of my Mystreet rewrite however it is tied to @roxxie-spirt MCD rewrite. So, I recommend reading her lore about the divine warriors to kind of get an idea about my cracked au lol.

So, to start, all magic originally came from this primordial cosmic dragon named Mithora. She was originally from the Wyvern Dimension but her magic was so potent, it had been seeping into the overworld for centuries. She's an incredibly old dragon who is/was worshiped as a deity of magic (mostly by witches and such). When the wyverns came over, followed by Mithora who they recognized as their queen, many of the Divine Warriors became nervous. They, of course, began their wyvern hunting spree. Realizing Mithora would be a far more dangerous threat than the wyverns, they befriended her, intent on tricking her. To Mithora, she actually became very close friends with the Divine Warriors. Mithora was eventually betrayed by the DW, a special arrow of poison striking her heart. Although the poison didn't kill her (kinda difficult to insta kill a being as powerful as the source of all magic) it did permanently wound her. She was banished from the overworld via a portal spell and sealed away within her own dimension, unable to escape. The spell chaining her to the dimension would eventually wear off, but by the time it would, she'd be on death's doorstep.

Now for the actual character stuff; in this au, all of the mys characters are reincarnations of their MCD counterparts. This was done via intervention on Aphmau/Irene's behalf when she approached each of her friends (and enemies) when they died. She essentially offered them a second chance at life, although they would not remember anything of their previous life. When this happened and Aph stored the souls of the people who'd accepted her offer in the Irene dimension, Mithora was able to sneak into the Irene dimension while Aph was away. She chose Zane to be the next dragon and to take her place when her magic eventually ran out. She did this, not only because she was sympathetic towards Zane, who'd been robbed of his ties to magic as a half witch, but also as a big fat middle finger to Esmund who'd been the one to first kill a wyvern and the one who'd broken her heart by betraying her. (Mithora did have feelings for him but never mentioned them out of courtesy of his feelings towards Irene).

Well, because of Mithora's marking, Mys Zane ended up being very magically talented, even more than most children his age. By the time S3 rolls around, he's comfortable with his witch heritage and has tutored under Lucinda for some time. It's in s4 (so this would replace what happens in Emerald Secret) where Zane takes up the mantle of the new dragon.

Mithora, on her last ember of life, comes to Zane and explains what she has tutored him to do. (He's had dreams about her since he was a child and she'd teach him various things about magic). I imagine it would be this dramatic moment of Zane being called into the snowy woods, the snowstorm protecting him as he enters the woods but keeping the others away until it's over. So, he accepts, taking up the mantle and protecting magic. This is extra important because magic sustains nearly every facet of their world. Magic would also become far more powerful once Zane takes over since he'd essentially be restoring it to its original strength before the poison overtook Mithora and drained her of her magic.

Nova: much like in mcd, regards her almost like a little sister, although that's a relatively recent change. In high school, when he was much closer with Garroth and Laurance, he was way more focused on playing wingman for them, and as such tended to accidentally treat her more like some kind of prize. He's doing his best to make up for it now though <3

Aaron: sorry danron fans but these two do NOT interact, not in my heart (or my rewrite).. they don't have a huge amount in common, and before becoming close to Nova Aaron was a completely closed book, so there's no really reason for this two to really know each other. As such I think dante would have super neutral opinions about him

Garroth and Laurance: close friends, but not as close as they were in high school.. as teens they were quite the trio, but most people's focus was always on Garroth (rich) and Laurance (charming), and not usually on him. It definitely affected his view of himself, and after becoming friends with Travis and Aphmau he started to distance himself from the others.

Travis: literally best friends, inseparable, attached at the hip and have been since high school lol. So attached at the hip, in fact, that they are constantly pushing the boundaries of a platonic relationship, always hugging and cuddling, sharing beds and stealing a few kisses, all they need to make it official is the label lol. They won't though, because while they are EXTREMELY close there's no real romantic feelings between them

Zane: pretty bad opinion of him in hs, and he kept that same view well into adulthood until Nova finally insisted that Zane was a good guy at heart. Nothing changed between them immediately, but Dante did open up to the possibility of change. Now a days he's got a pretty neutral opinion of Zane, leaning towards good. He still things Zane's cold, but he does understand what Nova sees in him :)

Katelyn: really respected her as teens, but as they've gotten older he's found he has less tolerance for her. Her treatment of Travis grates on his nervous, and while he understands why she defends Nicole with her life he really wishes that didn't involve talking down to him

Lucinda: he's genuinely terrified by her lol. She's gorgeous and intelligent and powerful, and it intimidates him a lot. He respects her a lot for it, despite how nervous she makes him, and does his best to stay in her good graces

Nana: he didn't used to ever really pay attention to her, but lately she's been catching his eyes and he's developed a lil crush 👀 he's incredibly nervous about asking her out though, given his previous dating history and her proximity to Katelyn. He doesn't wanna risk repeating what happened with Nicole with Nana

Nicole: his first love, the two have had a very rocky on-again-off-again relationship throughout the latter parts of high school, college, and even early adulthood. They broke it off again early in s1 on somewhat negative terms, and he tries not to dwell on how much he misses her

Gene: looks up to him a lot, even though he knows perfectly well that Gene got up to some shady shit back in the day. Their mom was always busy trying to support them as kids, and their father dipped shortly after he was born, so he's always considered Gene the closest thing to a real parent he's ever had

Zenix and Sasha: he's friendly towards them, but to him they've always be Gene's friends rather than his own. He knows them pretty well however considering how frequently they were around growing up, and he's pretty proud of how the whole group has changed since school

Mystreet addition!

• Travis and Sasha are cousins, that didn't know they were cousins until post season 3 (I basically looked at them both and basically said; "this would be some good family drama")

• Dante got a tongue piercing because Gene dared him to get one

• Travis and Sasha used to sneak off Friday nights to hang out without anyone knowing

• Aphmau and Zane had SOME feelings for each other post season 1 (I adore Zanemau)

• Katelyn and Travis were pretend dating for like the majority of mystreet

• Travis was given SO mucuch money by Michael even tho Micheal was only giving Travis a SMALL portion of his money per month, Travis still has too much money till this day

• Garroth can't and I mean CAN'T be trusted near a stove

• Laurance semi knows how to cook, he knows the basic at least because of Cadenza

• Zane is a baker and cook

• Vylad took a part-time job that ended up becoming his job for like 2 years (he was working at a flower shop) until he moved to a fashion industry with Zane

• Zane was a designer when he signed up for a fashion industry and then got into modeling due to one of his work colleagues convincing him to try it

• Zianna taught his 'sons' how to sew stuff

• Lucinda is just the same Lucinda from mcd, she's immortal okay?

• Michael is very ancient and used metal rulers to punish Travis, most times about lower than average grades that he gets (aka anything under an A)

• in middle School Travis was the definition of "President perfect" he was likeable by everyone he was naturally pretty and was always one to show up early also a straight A student

• Dante till this day still doesn't understand how he and Travis became friends in middle School, Travis is like this goddess while Dante was some late average grade normie

• Laurence took ballet

• Gene almost got sent to a violin academia by his mom cuz he was so good at violin

• Dante had a 'little' crush on Travis but decided to just back away from that she tried to ignore it since Travis and Katelyn are "Dating"

• In high school Zane and Vylad betted on how gay Garroth was, whoever won that bet even if it's years later had to do whatever the person who won said, and if it's something expensive then it'd be a one-time

• Garte is actually better in my universe (I can't fully defend him yet, all I can say is that he did help Zianna through tough times)

• Vylad and Zane has the same father but Zane is still older then Vylad by a few Days

• Vylad and Zane are twins even if they don't look like it

• Vylad and Zane would hang out in secret always anytime they can hang out

• all the Ro'maeve brothers are multilangual

• Travis speaks so many languages, (list; English,French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, mandarin, Malaysian, Italian,German,Tagalog,Arabic,Russian,Thai, Vietnamese,Icelandic,Polandic, that doesn't include the fact he knows sign language and Morse code)

• Travis and Gene both knows sign language and would talk shii about people and also gossip in private while not being in private

• Sasha knows sign language but doesn't bother to tell anyone she's here for the gossip

• Dante and Zenix is fed up with Gene and Travis and started communicating through

• Travis understands Morse code only because Dante taught him, but Dante thought Travis forgot how to do Morse code which was his own problem

• Travis barely remembered anyone from the street when he first moved in with the guys, it was so strange that even other people that barely knew Travis was interested

• Lucinda try to figure out what was happening with Travis but had no idea, her magic doesn't extend to ancient magic anymore since she has modernized her magic. Even with the blockages she has she tries to figure out what's wrong Maybe by a potion but she found no specific potion that could do it most of those potions were illegal and she sense no specific potions she sense Magic

• but Lucinda never stopped searching for why Travis didn't remember anyone besides Dante, since there was no record of any major accidents involving Travis or the valkrums

• Micheal gave Travis a box of crystals cuz he had a obsession with crystals (still do) and Travis was shocked by the amount of emeralds there was in that box there was around 50 something emeralds if counting the broken shards, if counting the whole emeralds there would be like 35 which is still a lot

• Terry once threatened Micheal to turn his physical form into a relic due to a factor that Michael was trying to erase an important memory and Terry wasn't having it that day

• Travis would endlessly rant about crystals to Vylad which had started to make Vylad actually interested in crystals and start looking into them and then got obsessed over it with Travis

• Dante as a teen was a hoarder, he grew out of it eventually

• Gene, despite being a horrible person in general in high school, he tried his best to be a better person around Dante trying not to influence him cuz he is far much more aware the fact that Dante can be influenced by him and he does not need Dante to be on his level of trouble

• Gene is far nicer to Travis than other one of Dante's friend, most likely due to the fact there was already this out of nowhere trust bond that existed when Dante first introduced Travis to Gene

•Zane had braces throughout freshman year and no one noticed cuz he had a mask on, then he got retainers mid season 3

• Zane is diagnose autistic

• Garroth and Aphmau is undiagnosed ADHD even though Travis has multiple time told them to get diagnosed due to the fact of the symptoms they had visibly and every time they always have this conversation;

"well are you a psychologist?"

"No"

"then how can you see the ADHD symptoms?"

"Cuz I have ADHD!"

"oh..uhm well you pay for a psychologist then!"

And then Travis actually gets them appointed to a psychologist for a ADHD diagnose and they got an actually official diagnose because of Travis and his ridiculous amount of money

• Vylad is dyslexic and Travis would spend hours after school in the library with him teaching him stuff, even if that means getting home late which Michael usually don't mind cuz he's never home until midnight Vylad got his permission card to stay late from his mom

• Vylad is the reason Zane is into my little horsey, Vylad actually introduced Zane to so many cartoons that now they can binge watch any kind of cartoons that Vylad puts on the platter

This whole post is just me ranting about stuff I wish were canon but isn't Canon, but hey no one can really stop me from posting this :]

Hear me out, I may just really be Mystreet/MCD deprived but Hear me out I beg you.

Imagine Mystreet Aph being the new "Irene" and is the reason why for the new child-ish videos, it's exactly what the previous Irene did (MCD Lady Aphmau)

Lady Aphmau had created a new realm, new dimension or a new place where all of the people she knew, friend or foe, could live peacefully. She set a new timeline, a new path, a different way for her To be happy, and is through Mystreet Aph.

Lady Aphmau had used most of the Relic's left over strength to create this new realm for her to see what it would be like if all the bad things in MCD never happened. A place where Zane isn't some evil priest with a cross waging war on everything, a timeline where she isn't pressured by her thoughts of being Irene, where she doesn't have big responsibilities, where everyone she new and loved had the life they deserved, and mostly an alternate home where Aaron is alive. In the end she knew Mystreet Aphmau isn't her life to live. After years, decades, centuries even, She finally rests in the hands of judgement.

But what exactly happened before Lady Aphmau became Irene? a TL;DR of my Theory of this is that, she had exchanged her life in the Mortal world to replace Irene in the "Irene dimension". I personally believe the reason Irene in MCD wasn't able to pass to the after life was because there no one to take her place in the "Irene Dimension" or whatever dimension it was that helps the universe stay in shape. Irene wasn't able to lay and rest in judgement because no one would look after all of these Realms and dimensions.

So during Shad and Lady Aphmau's battle in that one episode in MYSs6, I believed that Lady Aphmau had accepted Irene's full power and relic to be able to save Alina and return everything "the way it should be"

(Miraculous: Lady bug style yk?)

But her accepting Irene's full power meant that, Irene was finally able to pass to the other side, which left the "taking care of the realms" responsibility to Lady Aphmau.

Now let's take a look at what happened to MYS Aphmau.

MysAphmau is the reincarnation of Lady Aphmau, me personally, MysAphmau is the "carefree" side of Lady Aphmau, the side of Lady Aphmau where she has no worries, where she can do whatever she likes, whenever she likes.

I take it when Aphmau died, and was going to be sent back to the Mortal realm was the part when basically MCDAphmau is passing the torch of power down to MYSAphmau.

So MYSAphmau wakes up, beats a demon's ass, and dies part 2, wakes up to realize most of her friends are traumatized (not dead surprisingly) and finds that Lucinda can't do magic, Zane can remember but talks in A.I., and lastly Aaron, who doesn't remember her.

You could imagine how devastated home girl must be, hiding from men with guns, coming back from the dead, meeting Gods, witnessing her friends absolutely lose their shit, opening realms, just to find out her Fiancé, no longer remembers anyone. Not even her.

Now this is where I insert my ✨personal timeline✨, Now MysAphmau is the new Irene, MCDAphmau now resting in the afterlife, No one is there to take care off the realms.

MysAphmau, too devastated, too ashamed to face her friends and accept all of their problems and all of their difficulties, especially seeing Aaron the man she was Destined to be with, no longer remembering her or anyone really. Accepts that she's the new person to take care of the thousands of realms left to her by her former ancestors??? Former–Goddess–Leaders?? Former–idontknowanymore.

Basically instead of facing her friends and family, she decides to step up and be the new Irene, this is where the new videos come in.

Now that MysAphmau is in control of everything, no Godesses to tell her what to do, think, and make (considering the Relic holds both Irene and MCDAphmau's memories), She decides to repeat history and create a new realm, once again.

Same reasoning as the relic holder before her, she just wants to see all of them happy.

But it just doesn't stop there, this would explain why the videos are repetitive of the old ones. It's MysAphmau reliving her life, it's MysAphmau trying to push all of the conflict and trauma behind her and stay in the past before all of these overwhelming–otherworldly things happened to her.

Not only is MysAphmau trying to relive her past but she's also trying to make up for lost time, and creating fantasies she's always wanted, these scenarios she's created include and are not limited to:

•finally getting to marry Aaron ��� as we all know Aaron's kinda yk, half dead rn, blind and has amnesia. Pretty self explanatory, we could see how excited Aphmau was for the day they were going to get married.

• finally having a loving family — as we saw in the new videos, suprise, Zack and Slyvanna get along, even call eachother loving names. Something a child of divorce and abandonment would love, and I mean would LOVE to experience, no matter how icky and yucky it may seem, to Aphmau's eyes having both a loving mother and a supportive present father, would've meant the world to her, especially seeing as what Aphmau went through during her Child–adolescence years.

•Getting herself a sister — Arina has been showing up too, and as we can remember in starlight (and maybe even season 1 and PDH) Aphmau was obsessed about having an older sibling, she was always envy about Zane having Garroth, and Aaron having Melissa. She had always wanted an older sibling to run to about her problems, hence Arina.

• There was also family videos with Aphmau and Aaron having kids but I don't really wanna touch that.. the thumbnail alone scares me.

• There's more I could say but let's keep this short I still have a series to write, but another thing these videos have in common is that in the end, Aphmau is always happy. There is not a single video where in the end she cries and suffers or stay mind controlled, she always ends up saved and laughing by the end. This further suggests that MysAphmau unlike MCDAphmau had the balls to keep changing the plot of the story so that the new videos–Aphmau, would never have to feel the pain and suffering she went through.

Another thing i'd like to mention is the surrounding places of these new videos—

(FYI, yes, I know they make the scenery simplistic and color-coded because they are showing this to children, and children need things to be handed to them on a silver plate but seriously stay with me on this one)

Unlike the scenery in both MCD and MYS, the new videos seem to generate places, not as "pretty" as the realms before, I'd like to connect this with the fact that the current relic Aphmau holds is very weak, it's gone through centuries and centuries of over-usage and imbalance, so of course it wouldn't generate a world so beautiful such as MCD and MYS, because it's so weak and fragile now the best it can do is to put a few houses, make a few roads, spawn a few vehicles, but it can no longer generate realms that compare to the beauty of MCD and MYS.

•Personally, I'd like to make this a series, after my Prequel-Parents rewrite, The story would basically be—as I said—Would start with a devastated aphmau leaving the world of MYS to create her own world, but this time MysAphmau's friends are trying to reach and travel to her, crossing dimensions to help her heal, to be able to reach her and tell her whatever she's feeling is what they all feel aswell. She shouldn't be ashamed because she had done all she could and that was enough.

To me personally this is the season 7 that I would love to see. But who am I to say this, I'm just some girl who sleep, eats chips, and has asthma. See ya'll on the next one.

MCD Heathers AU

I didn't ask for this, I had a passing teehee funny thought and then it stopped being funny and actually turned out to be a brain worm that took over all my neurons. I do not know what the fuck happened to make this AU but here we are.

Main thing to know before I come up here and elaborate in a later draft, this AU is imagining a production of Heathers featuring the cast and crew of mcd. It's an AU that's largely non magical other than the furry stuff, and it's distinctly the mcd characters and how I characterize them, not the MyStreet version of these characters. I think I've made my... thoughts on the matter of MyStreet characterization well known.

Anyways, the real actual main thing I meant to write was that this AU is also two productions. One is the main cast, and then there's the Understudy Cast! I might put that in a separate post because holy fuck this is already going to be a lot and I have to pull the entire cast of Heathers out of the pits of my memories.

so what if we took Garroth, Zane, Aphmau, Lucinda, and the shadow knights from Mystreet... and CHUCKED them into MCD??

here's how i see the start playing out. this is long after the events of starlight like a year or so, so just add one year to their cannon wiki ages, and around the time of the end of MCD but they haven't gone to the library.

it starts with a dumb night party at Lucinda's house, she's a night owl and was struggling with her magic a bit still despite being able to use enough to sell potions again. I feel like it was just Aphmau and the shadow knights (Gene, Sasha, Zenix) Garroth was messing with Zane and stole his mask or scarf or just something important to him. they ran into the potion room. someone knocked into something and everything went everywhere. Lucinda had been working on a project that had to do with reincarnations and would allow you to see into your past lives and bc of their F-up it opened a portal and sucked everyone in.

that's the start of the idea, I'm thinking about adding my own head canons and stuff and this will be a mix between the MCD remake and the OG. so the OG is cannon unless the remake said otherwise.

At some points I put my foot down and basically refuse to watch MCD s2.

Why? Oh, just what happened to Dante. I hate how he was turned into a scumbag, even if it wasn't his intention and him dealing with grief plus mental illness. It was clear that in MyStreet it's shown as a scummy thing because it IS, but in MCD it's like. Nana forgives him. And she's like "Sister Nicole" or whatever like it's a commune. And also!! It wasn't even like the story was like Nicole wanted to tell Dante that she was pregnant and he was with Nana or even just talking to her, clearly moving on, NANA WAS PREGNANT. CLEARLY PREGNANT.

MCD s2 had a huge character assassination, and I don't even think Dante would've tried to fill that loneliness with Nicole or Nana based on his past that wasn't really explored until s3 which is, as we all know, hell.

I enjoy watching s2 because we get a LOT of development and lore points but I find it hard to enjoy knowing that one of my favorite characters got bastardized. One of Dante's biggest qualities is his loyalty, like all of the guards, he's level-headed, logical, empathetic, etc. He would still see Nana and Nicole as people rather than things to fill that void, like, he'd gain a complex as seeing himself as Gene then.

In case any of you are curious, Aphmau is a Fairy Tail fan and some elements from FT were put into MCD, and I think the time skip was one of them, esp when it comes to "rebuilding Phoenix Drop." Nothing dealing with the aged up cast really entertained me because they felt like foreign characters we were supposed to know still, because Nana, Dante, Nicole, even Levin and Malachi had become viable characters in the first season and then became. Older, obviously. The only character that felt loyal was Cadenza and I always lost interest around the time Lucinda was found.

honestly most of the parents straight up suck

michi's shenanagins are not in the plot or are going to be very minor and irrelevent

zoey is katelyn's maternal aunt

mystreet? more like GAY street (there is not a single straight person)

aaron and garroth are the group dads (not in a gay way... unless...)

nana is not a creepy boundary breaking stalker and instead she's just enthusiastic about romance and their friends getting together

ein may not be relevent to the plot and depending if i can do it right, he may be redeemed

the mcd elements to mystreet will actually be relevent from the beginning

lucinda is albino

zanemau gets together after their memories of the past

(still toying with this one) aphmau's name may end up being something else something closer to irene

slower relationship development rivals to friends to best friends to lovers

me and lions objectively correct mystreet character ranking (not clickbait fr fr)

So let me explain the ranks here a bit and why characters are in certain places:

S Tier: Characters that have a solid foundation or general character arcs that both me and Lion liked they’re story and character was enjoyable from beginning to end.

Lucinda is the only S tier character because she managed to remained both consistent character throughout the show. And while she doesn’t have a general arc that really doesn’t make her character any less likable. She’s just a silly little guy that activates the neurons.

A Tier: characters that we found really strong and compelling but have one really big glaring issue from putting them in S.

Rowan is here simply because he was really enjoyable, a genuine healthy father figure, and was just super cool to watch. His problem: lack of screen time.

Zianna has the same problem as Rowan her importance to the plot overall is also a factor.

Zane and Kc have the problems of both certain parts of there stories leaving us feeling icky. Like Zane becoming an over protective incel that sees aph as an object, or KC’s shipping shrine and canonically being a stalker.

B Tier are characters that we liked but just simply couldn’t peek are interest character wise due to one reason or another.

I’m gonna try and speed run the rest of these so:

Garroth: same problem with Zane but worse his obsession with aph even with or without the inclusion of mcd feels unearned and generally problematic. He’s goofy though and has a solid character arc with his brother

Eric and Terry: goofy and likable but nothing much outside of that also besides Rowan they are the only good parental figures in the show. (Eric is higher because he has more screen time)

Daniel: he’s voiced by ross has an interesting character concept, he’s the only werewolf character that didn’t frustrate me personally at some point. He’s just not all that important.

vlyad teony and GF captain: all interesting characters that weren’t in the show enough.

blaze: making in here on charm and charisma alone. (Also because our friend June fell in love with him, you can imagine his reaction to season 6.)

Brandon: mainly here because Lion said so.

C tier is mostly for the meh characters that we didn’t feel super strongly about for the most part.

Travis: didn’t have a decent enough character or story to really make us care in anyway. While pm seymour gave it their all it wasn’t really enough to keep us engaged.

Laurence: he has like one or two really good moments. And some laughs. Didn’t keep me or him engaged, especially after he just vanished.

from Ivy to kai: all these characters have really likable personalities and stories but they all generally had the one thing in common where they just weren’t in the show enough or there character took a direction we agreed wasn’t all that good or interesting.

Ivan: he serves his purpose as a one off villain. That’s all.

White haired girl: she just exist for a bump in the road in Aarmau.

Aphmau: none of her arcs are interesting, her personality isn’t consistent and when Jess does stick to a personality for her it’s generally not that likable.

D Tier: where hitting characters that both of us generally felt were lacking or straight up didn’t like.

Sylvanna: this may shock some of you but I’m going to be brutally honest, half of the reason y’all like her is because you HC her as being overprotective because Aaron is a groomer. Now let me be clear that’s not a problem, however that doesn’t change the fact in the actual show, it’s written more like an emotional incest situation. If Aaron being a groomer was “played straight” as it were she’d be much higher. But the canon reason of her overprotective (at least the reason were given initially) is that Aaron does a better job at taking care of Aph. It’s not because she actually fears Aph is in danger as we come to learn. It leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Nicole: didn’t like that Dante was the one punished for their break up. They even mention later that she was being unreasonable. But Dante was at fault don’t get me wrong. But she also wasn’t in the show a hole lot and from what we see of her, just didn’t stick out to us.

Michi: plot device in character form, she could’ve been so much better if her character wasn’t watered down to “Aarmau Speed Bump”

From Kacey to Nekoette: all characters that felt shoved in for plot purposes and didn’t have enough personality to make up for it. They all range of for being added for stupid reasons like another conflict or fan-service. Some of these are even combinations of those reasons plus they just have some really unlikable moments that rubbed us the wrong way or even worse did not help the plot at all by being there.

Katelyn: I’ve made it extremely clear I don’t like this character and she’s at the very bottom because I believe her offenses are worse than most characters before but don’t deserve hell tier. She technically “works through” her fantasy racism and other problems just not in a compelling or even satisfying way. Even her reasons just didn’t justify her actions for us.

HELL: characters that did morally deplorable things therefore we did not like them on principal. ONTOP of being poorly written because in this series they go hand in hand.

Rachel gaslit her son and told Melissa to get Aaron home by any means necessary and that was implied to be the blackmail Melissa got from Michi. She generally invaded his privacy and almost ruined her son and an innocent girls relationship because of toxic traditional family values. (I believe she would’ve done this with or without the ultima curse, remember, that all what I just wrote was something written before that was even conceived.) and then does a 180 when season 5 hits. We all laughed and played crab rave when she was publicly executed.

Elizabeth abandoned her kids don’t care if that part wasn’t her fault because she was sealed away because again that was written before season 4-5 (we also see Zack abandoning his kid so like it’s implied she did it before she was sealed away anyway.) Also allowed a literal demon to do experiment a on her daughter. She doesn’t get any satisfying conclusion to her villain arc and she’s part of the post credit cliffhanger.

Zack cheated on his wife and abandoned his child after experimenting on her and was Michaels right hand only to grow a conscious after the literal child abuser tells him to produce a spine. Was not in the show enough to be a “I love to hate” kinda character.

Garte and Derek are both on the list for basically the same reason neither of there characters end in a satisfying way. Dereks just worse because he directly abused Aaron verbally.

Emmalyn is here because me and Lion took her as a stand in for ghost sense they are the same character. And she SA’s Zane. Ghost also confuses the plot heavily. And made the story so hard to follow in season 6. She actively makes both the story worse both inside and out.

Ein stalked and mind controlled multiple characters and was both indirectly and directly responsible for multiple innocent peoples deaths. There’s more you could say about him but he’s just not a compelling villain. His plans are not his own, the plans he does come up with only work by chance. He’s basically if you took Michi and cranked her up to 11.

Micheal is a really bad uncompelling villain outside of MCD besides killing people and world domination or whatever. He does nothing interesting with the time he’s given.

Balto and Aaron are both different flavors of pedos. Balto tries ask aph to prom, like even if bruh was just doing it for power; what the fuck. Even if was compelling he wouldn’t be any higher.

Gene is also a pedophile and gets Ein to take pictures of her when he graduates college, which is a shame because he actually does have a compelling story but because of how problematic his flaw is we couldn’t rank him any higher.

Aaron has been talked to death about so I won’t repeat what’s been said a hundred times over. But pedophillia, mass genocide, and a general inconsistent characterization is everyone’s main problem.

Ace: Our friend Ace was in call with us, we gave her one chance to save a character from a lower tier.

Melissa: originally in hell tier for enabling her parents and taking black mail from Michi, and just not having a spine when it came to the abuse of Aaron and that part of her character being sweated under the rug as she hardly had any consequences for gaslighting him. Even going so far to say they’ve changed and have gotten better when they clearly had not. Emotionally manipulating him at almost any chance she had. The reason why she rescued her and not her other choice Aphmau is because Ace is a lesbian.
