Ngl I don't particularly want to get into the animation industry since it looks so stressful and too much for me, but part of me wants to get into it JUST to make animated shows of my favourite books series.

Like, could you imagine this fluid animated battle scene of Xingyin where she's battling demon realm soldiers with the Jade Dragon Bow, stylised sky-fire raining down and using camera angles to accentuate her skill and technique with the bow??? Or a slow motion scene of Lovisa walking through the snow as she wonders what to do about her parents and her growing suspicions?? Katsa moving in the shadows as she works alongside Giddon??

The art direction that could be done for designing the cities and towns?? Like could you imagine Graceling, Winterkeep, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, etc all getting the Castlevania treatment with beautiful art and cinematography??

“Happy birthday. I got you some gifts!” Lovisa shows up with a purple sweater that has the smell of her perfume left on it, and a cake that’s visibly messily handmade but looks delicious regardless, and spells Sergio’s name on top with colorful sugar sprinkles.

Lovisa wouldn’t find him anywhere when she came by her apartment. Sergio had almost unofficially moved in with her, often sleeping in her room instead of his own apartment. He conveniently forgot to mention that his complex had been cleared after the fumigation...not that she would have minded either way, he figured. He didn’t move any of his furniture or other possessions, however, having signed a lease for another year. 

Ever since that morning, Sergio had been gone without a trace. He didn’t respond to any calls or texts from anyone at all up to that point. Not long ago, Lovisa had asked him when his birthday was. He tried not to rouse too much suspicion, but it was still obvious it was a subject he would have rather avoided. He was so intent on changing the subject that he didn’t even realize that Lovisa may have wanted to get a gift for him.

When he was lucid for a moment at his father’s grave, he realized that Lovisa may have been worried about him since they hadn’t spoken a word to each other all day. He turned his phone on, the default background blurry as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
